stepo707: Bro pls I have a question.if Thier site says asses is through ACS, can one decide to change to TRA.? Would it be valid For yours, were you pursuing the 190 or 489 visa? The assessing bodies difer by occupation. But you can consider other related or similar occupations assessed by other bodies if you think assessing with a particular body will not be to your benefit. |

NPCG: Good day all. Sorry to digress,my intended skill which happens to be under 190 and 489 visa subclass.....the only state offering my skill is western Australia and they require at least 3 years work experience meanwhile all these while I have been hoping to come in next year because vetassess requires at least one year work experience for that skill.
My points are all okay from speculations Age:30 Pte:20(speculation) Qualification:I learnt that's 15 (because I did a 6 years course) So I don't really need the work experience points. Please suggestions are desperately needed. Good evening. what is your area of qualification? is there no related occupation to the one you wanted to nominate? What you should do is give more details without all the long story so that others can understand how to help. Also go through page 0-5 again, you clearly missed a lot of information on there. Obogrow. |

geostrata: Please which occupation listed on TRA or ACS is closely related to a BSC in geology degree Modifiednone! I am tempted to say you knew that already. but if you have been in IT for at least 6 years and have a BSc, then you can go the RPL route. I mean 6 years post graduation (though you can include your work experience from university - like Internship, NYSC). |

Eladua: It was a four year course and ACS earlier claimed it is equivalent to an advanced diploma, but TRA was silent on the education level, so I decided to claim Bsc with it since TRA didn't specify.
Hope you understand now. Yea!!! Thank you for the insight. |

Eladua: So, finally it is my turn to testify, the Lord has done it. Like someone mentioned some days back, it will get to a time that one would just get tired of checking mails every morning expecting that grant and just concentrate on other things, I have been like that for some weeks now, only for me to check my mail on a Saturday morning and the grant catwalked in.
It all started last year November when I assessed my qualifications with ACS and they broke my heart with negative outcome based on the fact that my degree isn't equivalent to Aussie Bsc and I needed 4years experience to qualify. I gave up at that moment until when someone here opened my eyes to the possibility of going with TRA so I did and got a positive outcome, even though they were silent on the level of education I went ahead to claim the maximum point for a Bsc, this was my fear with DIBP, alas it came out well.
It's a 489 visa, and my advice for some especially the single ones, if 190 is taking time to get coz of your English test or something, just go with the 489 instead of continuous waiting, before you know it another policy will come up. My occupation was for 190 initially, the day i was to apply for state nomination was when they moved it to 489, so i decided to just go on with it.
Thanks to everyone that has helped me one way or the other and I pray for those still in process, it will land sooner than you think.
Pls anyone that has info on if IOM help with travel tickets for 489 applicants and the process should pls advice. Congratulations sir!!! May God favour you in the land! What school did you attend and how many years of study was your course. |

Fizzywah: Hi Webmaster3,
Had the same problem. Apparently mine stemmed from trying to delete something I uploaded twice mistakenly. I think what happens is if you try to delete one document, it removes all. So when I got the same email you got.....I uploaded the document in the ACS portal. Please do not send it by email. You are only required to notify them by replying the email to say you have uploaded that missing document. Hope this helps.
By the way I got a positive skills assessment result and have submitted my expression of Interest. hello boss, which occupation did you access with ACL? |

ome240: Welcome onboard. Your friend in Oz is not correct, as a lot of persons on this thread obtained PR grants while fully resident in Nigeria and holding nigerian Bsc/Msc Certificates. The first step is to check through the SOL/CSOL list to nominate an occupation based on your qualification(s) and/or work experience. Feel free to ask questions here. @Kelvincal144 in addition to the above quote, you must read through this thread to fully understand this process and achieve your dreams. If you don't read, you will be susceptible to such cacophony as generated by your friend. kevincal144: I just started following this thread yesterday. I have read a few pages out of the thread, no much time to read through all the pages. Please my Oga them, I really need una help via this skilled migration stuff to Australia. I'm a bsc holder in biotechnology n is above 25 years of age. I wanted to apply for the skilled migration visa but my friend who is Resident in Australia said I am not eligible for the skilled migration based on the fact that I didn't graduate from an Australian university. He said I should apply for student visa that it's the only means I can migrate to Australia for now. Please my Oga them I need una advice based on this my matter. Thanks to you all as you direct me |

ObaCrew: I've been able to get to this point through TRA. And I can't do anything except if I register. Please which one do I need to register for. The I also read about EOI and I do not know which one comes first so as to forge ahead. I saw the portal on TRA now but I just don't want to submit things without proper information and guide. Please someone should put me through. I really need help.
Attached are the screen shots of what I got. Good morning @ObaCrew I will suggest that you take it easy and collate information slowly but surely. You seem to be in a hurry about the process and I don't think that is good. Go through the thread, you will see those who have gone through TRA. If their comments and discussions do not answer your questions then you can mention or quote them to get clarifications. Just my opinion 'this journey is not a sprint'. |

She took her immunisation at the health centre and I'm sure they won't have a back up. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks Usually hospitals and clinics keep immunisation registers, in nurses like to keep their own records a lot. So go back to the clinic. If they don't have the records, I believe one or two nurses there will know you. They will be able to fill a new one for you. |

DanXplore: Please, i could use some career advice from great nairalanders. Please tag monikers that you think would be of great help, as i am at a crucial point in my career.
I am a graduate of chemcal engineering but for 2years now, have not gotten any engineering related job. The only job i got was at KPMG (audit), which i resigned after 3 months due to some personal reasons. I am currently an Area Sales Rep with a poultry feed production company that pays 183k per month (net take home after tax and other necessary deductions), though i could use up to 20 to 25k to fuel my car monthly. Now, i just got a PTDF scholarship offer to study Advanced process integration and design in UK but not really sure if it is worth ditching my current job for it.
I am not very confident about securing a job once i finish msc because only a handful of opportunities come for chemical engineers. more also,UK rarely retains Nigerians.
Please what are your advices, especially from those who have done Msc in Uk.
I need your advices, i dont want to make a costly mistake. Since it is a scholarship as you say, then go ahead and do the Msç. When you are done, you can look at migrating to Oz or Can. |

KIKIADE: can one still get points from partner skill qualification? if yes, how? must the 2 occupations be in MLTSSL or STSOL of IMM1 17/072 OR the 2 occupations should just be in IMMI 17/072 Yes, you can claim partner points. both occupations must be on the same list, either MLTSSL or STSOL. both occupations must be assessed positively by the relevant assessing bodies. and the partner must take and pass English test (I am not sure of the scores needed now). |

since its already in their record he has no previous refusal what you have said is that he lied on his visa application. if he had not answered the question, then it would've been an omission. but answering in the negative means he distorted the truth and therefore was aware of what he did. I doubt that he will not have problems should he state the truth now. And may I ask why he wants to tell the truth now? |
