Rivers State IGR as at 2014 was a little above 10b.
Jonathan never held Rivers Federal allocation. What happened was that Jonathan approved some projects for Amaechi with the understanding that Federal Govt would reimburse Rivers State. These projects included the Obiri Ikwerre Interchange and the Port Harcourt Oweeri Road. When Amaechi was busy attacking and casting aspersion on Jonathan that he did nothing for Rivers State surprisingly none Jonathans image maker could tell Rivers people about these projects.
Wike was fortunate to have received these monies from Buhari approved by Jonathan before he left office.
Amaechi by himself stirred the hornet nest. Today despite the underperformance of Buhari no northerner has done to him what Amaechi led against Jonathan. Amaechi who was going about telling Rivers people that Jonathan did nothing for them could not put a borehole as a project attracted to Rivers State in his 8-year term as a super minister.
Amaechi used his second term immediately Wike deserted him to stir controversies home and abroad.

First let me start with the federal allocation matter. I meant the 13% derivation that was not paid to ameachi but was released to wike and other states by the buhari govt. Since 2015 when this govt came into power it has received refunds of more than 200B, IGR of more than 600B and statutory allocation of more than 600B.

When Amaechi was governor the only road leading to Woji-elelenwo-Akpajo corridor was through slaughter. Amaechi constructed an alternative route bridge that meander through river to connect that axis by road.

All the Federal road Amaechi constructed during his tenure, a sum of 83 Billion was refunded to the state by Pres. Buhari and Wike became the beneficiary of it.

Amaechi sent over 2000 Rivers Indigene and non indigine alike on Oversea scholarship. The 12,200 jobs was devoid of ethnicity as many South Easterners and people from other ethnic group got the job on merit. Amaechi paid bursery to students in tertiary institution. Gave free bags, shoes, sandals and books to every children that enrolled into primary school in the primary school he built.

Amaechi bought cars for all doctors in Rivers state so as to boost their efficiency. There was free dental session for all resident of Rivers state at the Dental Hospital that was managed by the Indians.

Amaechi is a class of its own. Wike cannot fit into Amaechi's shoe.

Today what we see is the rivers state govt buying cars for magistrates and judges. His focusvis on the judiciary because he knows that's where his matter will be handled when he leaves office. He has built houses for them and even sent them overseas but has neglected the core (primary and secondary) of the education value chain.
