One of the things I remembered Ameachi's tenure for was the free delivery through C.S. at BMH. Someone I am close to had C.S. twice there during his first tenure. I applaud him for that, and there was a measure of safety during his tenure as governor of Rivers State.

It was my sister Inlaw who was a doctor in Delta state then that told my wife to stop patronising private hospital because Ameachi had made health care for mothers and children free. Like or hate AMEACHI but One thing you cant take away from him is that he is the best Rivers has produced in this dispensation.
Take a look at the primary health centres, primary and model schools, bridges (modern designs/interchange), roads.
stadium in greater phc, promotion of civil servants, mass employment into the civil service, payment of bursary and international scholarship for Rivers pple. He did so much but never advertised himself thru project commissioning. The farms nko? Wike is busy buying pples properties in phc and converting them to supermarket. Stifling competitors in politics and business. Imagine using his court to shut SPAR because of his HYPERCITY close by.
Look at the roads and bridges wike built most of them leads to his house, supermarket and other interests. Would even believe that he drove the Ikoku traders away from their shops because he wants to build HYPERCITY there and even went on to build the most useless bridge among the lot.

Look at the rank and file of the PDP and ask if there is any single person north of the Niger that had done any sort of 'opposition' to this regime.... any.

My question, however, is who then would have been the candidate from the south if not wike? Uche Secondus his brother was chased out of the PDP by this same wike because he had the intention all along to be the PDP candidate. Umahi, ayade and Obi left the PDP because of this same man who was fighting practically for his selfish interest. The truth is if we are serious about producing a president from the south there's tinubu and Peter Obi. The president mustn't come from the PDP. Wike for me, is being clever by half.
