Revolva: Many people would have you believe that you don’t need a tablet anymore, that everything you use a tablet for can be done just as well or better with another device. So, if you have a tablet and have stopped using it, or you never bought one, i highlights some reasons why you may want to reconsider and/or start using one.
Perfect for movies and music
Sure your laptop can play your music and movies; however, tablets just do it better. There’s nothing better than entertaining yourself on a long trip than with a tablet loaded with your favourite music and movies and it is easy to take with you.
Longer battery life
Laptop batteries are improving, but how many people really get 8 to 10 hours of life out of your laptop? Not very many. Tablets, however, will last much longer than many laptops without needing a charge. This gives you much more time to use them before they will have to stop and plug them in.
Good for meetings and classes
Tablets make the perfect piece of technology to take to a meeting and classes. Today’s tablets make it easy for you to take notes while you are listening to the presenter and, if you happen to be presenting, you can even run your presentation straight from your tablet instead of having to carry with you a laptop.
Better internet browsing
Internet browsing on a tablet is a mixed experience; it draws the line between mobile and desktop web pages. As websites vary from different publications, having the middle ground is wonderful. The text is more readable and browsing is as smooth as you’d expect from a mobile-optimized site.
Tablets are cheaper than a new laptop
A tablet works as well as a laptop. However, many persons do not use it even though it is cheaper and affordable than a laptop.
This guy said Abiola was killed in 1999 but Tinubu and his ilk didn't care but came back in 1999 and met with abdulsalami in order to negotiate with him for the leadership of Nigeria.
This dude just contradicted himself big time. Let him start by representing his constituency.
SavannahNewsNig: A Kaduna-based Facebook user posted the photo with a caption written in Hausa. This is so heartbreaking, the little boy looks really tired and sad…
YorubaAssasin: He must be an inexperienced buyer... He got fooled by the winning bid amount which seems a bit "paltry" without a first hand knowlege of the overall cost involved.
Majority of inexperienced buyers fall into such pit.
We always learn in a way or the other. At least he's getting the needed experience.
YorubaAssasin: Firstly, I need to know what you guys are complaining abt. Are you guys disputing the vehicle salvage status or the final price tag? From what the OP put up there, I think it's reasonable even though it's a very bad deal. IMHO.
The $275 isn't the net/final price sold at the auction. That price is what's called the pre-bidding price prior to the actual auction. After the real auction might have taken place, the final bidding price is likely to surpass the $275. Okay let's assume the final bid price is $275...
The $1K add fee is mandatory but, not necessarily that much. It's usually a % of the total cost + numerous fees (paper-work) added up. So let's assume it's $1K... So, let's do the math...
Let's NOT forget, the car was fixed by whoever that bought it... and from the damages I'm seeing, the total fix price to get this to its current shape would be nothing less than $1,500 - $2,000 = N540,000 - N720,000. Let's say it's N540,000
N1,463,000 + N540,000 = N2,003,000.
Again, this is the minimum net price given the info. provided by OP. So why the hassle... everyone whining upandan. This is one of the numerous reasons I advice folks to rather buy a car in Nigeria than from here in the U.S. The only advantage of buying foreign (developed nation)used cars is proper usability (good roads/dealership maintained etc.. ) and less-salvage value compared to 9ja used.
Though, this is a very bad deal given the extent of damage and cost of repair of this particular vehicle. I expected someone like "Explorers" to have dug more info. before coming out to cry foul.
I am not disputing the salvage status, not at all sir. I am only wondering why someone would go through so much hassles for a vehicle badly damaged.
aonag: nothing really happend to this Toyota na in nigerian standard..its from the frontside not direct front impact. I would never buy this and sell to someone rather If I am so interested in this car, I would buy it and fix it to factory and make sure it is working the way it should with no issues if at all I want to sell
gonkin: From the pictures i see replacement for Radiator Condenser Radiator fan Both headlamps Bumper Steering Probably the engine and transmission 350k to 400k Shock absorbers Entire from wheels frame work Both fenders and dont forget the people working it. But if the engine made it then thats way better
Yeah thats above 600k
with this your analysis, ask yourself if its worth it. No dealer will spend that much to fix an accidented vehicle.
Format1: Hello, 2006 Toyota Corolla , is 2m-2.2m..Find out, also, that car has no issue a feared on here, the fender, the bonnet and bumper affected has been replaced appropriately, the dealer should have sold 2m, since its accidented.but, a clean title 2006 corolla Is good at 2.2m, ,dont forgey, some agent buys for dealerz here, add up 275+1200+200, then clearing and cost of replacing those parts, bonnet is 65k, alone
I am not disputing the price, he can choose to sell at 5m if he will get a buyer. My point is that he sold a very badly damaged vehicle as though it was a clean title or at worst, had minimal damages.

are you trying to justify what the dealer has done here?
I pray this post gets to the front page. I feel we have also suffered the same fate with my mom's 2003 toyota sienna symphony, though it's been nearly 5 years since she has been using the car though. But recently, when I was in akure,i took a good look at the right side of the vehicle and it seemed like it had an extensive impact. The vehicle is still clean though, but a careful observant who knows the difference will know. In my neighbours case, his corolla came already painted. I don't know if he did it himself though, but the painting is so evident.
Explorers: Imagination bro, why the vehicle will be that expensive despite the history.
The quote up there i dont think is more than 1.5m
ah, I for talk oh.. but to be honest, Nairaland has created a lot of awareness. Especially when it has to do with auto purchase. The quote is about #1,463,000.
