When my friend received notification of his selection by the US Consulate in Kentucky for a visa in the American DV Lottery last year, we were ‘over the moon’ with happiness. However, as part of the processing, he needed to get some details from his girlfriend he had claimed to be his wife. But that was where the problem surfaced: the girl just refused to cooperate! Because of this, he couldn’t submit on time – until it was too late!

Well, it happened that she got admission at a renown university briefly before then, but the guy is not a university graduate (in fact, he didn’t finish secondary education), although he has developed himself in other areas. More so, she has been a good girl before her going to the university.

I’ve been perplexed by the situation, which has thrown up few questions in my mind:
1) Why didn’t she tell the guy not to include her in the application?
2) Why couldn’t she cooperate so they could get the visa before changing her character?
3) What could really be the problem with her?

It’s almost certain that my friend has lost the chance to use migrate to the US now. But, in your opinion, what could be the reason for this fallout?

What could be the reason? Ask him, now-ww-ww!!

Or didn't he ask da girl why she refused to co-operate? Maybe she heard rumours that he was smooching another chic! Find out. . . .

Fight over a boyfriend or a girlfriend?? Its' an exercise in futility!

I have seen this kind of scenario, happening over and over. A guy sees a woman who is a soft touch, he latches on to her proclaiming undying love, cleans her out in the guise of needing assistance, and by the time things finally improve for him. . .he dumps her so fast that she can't even blink, or he starts dating another chic who wasn't there for him when he was bad ass broke!

Use your head my friend, and pray to God to show you the right kind of man for you.

This brotha ain't the right chap for you at all. You were sick in hospital and he couldn't borrow transport fare from a neighbour, or gather old newspapers to sell to mallams, in order to raise some cash to come and see you on your sick bed? Na wa o!

Now I want you to ask yourself these same questions, but look at it from this view: God as the one who loves you. Think about what he does when you are unfaithful to him and don't respect your body for him. I wonder how God rebuilds trust with us.

I don't get it o! Are you here to preach to just me. . . . .or what? I agree with God's love. . . .and I believe in Him. But last time I checked, we were talking about human love, the kind that exists between a man and a woman. How someone can claim to love you, and then go around sleeping with a different person behind your back, doesn't make sense to me. Maybe you can explain it better. 

Nothing wrong in forgiving a person who cheats on you. . . .but to go back to such an individual and resume the relationship again? Er, no thanks.  I think I'll pass. If you keep recycling the relationship after every act of infidelity, for how long do you want to continue putting up with the lies, the guile, the deception and the pretence that accompanies each episode? 

Anyway, I got your message. God forgives us, so therefore we must forgive our cheating partners. Okay, no problem. We will forgive them. But asking one to continue with the relationship, is asking for too much. Na by force? If that is what rocks your own boat sha, no yawa.  Keep up da good work! Just don't insist that others must toe your line. It is a matter of individual choice.

Whaa-aa-at??! I can't believe am reading this kind of mushy unrealistic stuff! It is in his eyes indeed. What poppycock! Omo, forget all that 'its' in his eyes' talk. A man's eyes will follow any woman he is attracted to, across the room. It doesn't mean he is in love. It just means he is strongly attracted to the lady, or he wants to get laid.

A man can look a woman straight in the eyes and LIE to her convincingly, as he is telling her what she wants to hear. I have some colleagues who are players that do this, and it always works without fail. Whenever I tell them off, for engaging in such acts, they tell me that they have taken time out to study women and they know what makes them tick and how to get such women to fall for them. The 'locked-eye' or eye-contact thingy, is one of such acts they have perfected to the nth degree.

Don't look at a man's eyes to decode his feelings. Study his actions and his behaviour to find out what he really feels about you. Too many men can talk the talk, but very few can walk that talk. Actions speak far louder than words!

The older woman/younger guy thing is just a phase that some guys go through.

Oh yes, a few of them would happily date older women, especially when they are struggling to find their financial feet and they feel such women can assist them in some way.

But when they are ready to settle down in marriage, they would not hesistate before switching their feelings, in the direction of a younger girl. For them, the older woman is good enough to throw goodies their way, but when it comes down to settling down. . .ah, na anoda story be dat!

Some questions are so weird.

Why would you continue a relationship with someone who didn't respect you enough, to stay faithful to you? Why would you want to continue in a relationship where the other party didn't have enough[b] discipline [/b] or principles to keep his or her passions (or lust) in check, while they were actively dating you? Why on earth would you want to continue in a relationship, with someone who doesn't value his or her body enough to reserve it exclusively for you, but prefers to share its' carnal delights with others due to a lack of self-control?

Why would you want to stay in a relationship where someone didn't care enough about your feelings, to restrain herself or himself from fooling around behind your back with another party, while dating you?  Does that act of cheating show respect, love or understanding?

When infidelity occurs, it breaks down trust, loyalty, respect, and honesty, as well as all the essential ingredients that are necessary for a good relationship to thrive. It also promotes lies, treachery and deceit. Is that what you want?

Rebuilding trust in a relationship that has been cracked by cheating, lies and unfaithfulness is sheer, hard work. Both partners need to strip down their defences and be as transparent as possible in their dealings with each other, especially the cheating partner. And unless that cheating partner is prepared to forsake all others and cleave only to you in deed and in truth, it really isn't worth it. Simply because there is no guarantee that it will not happen again. A lot of those who cheat often feel sad, when their antics are revealed. But if you dig deep enough, you'll discover that they are only  ever 'sorry' that they got caught, but are not sorry they ever ventured into the act in the first place! 

Too many people are living a lie, and pretending to be in a 'solid' relationship. Who do they think they are fooling?

Those who are married may not have much of a choice, but to stay in the union with their cheating partner and pray for such a spouse to have a change of heart and a change of habit.

But those who are not married are far more lucky! They have loads of choices. They should get down on their knees and thank the Lord for revealing their partner's cheating traits to them, and bale out as fast as they can. Morning shows the day. . .

To all my guys out there, who have been calling to offer 2.5m to 2.8m for this jeep. . . .well, I'm sorry to disappoint you. . . .but those prices won't fly. Not with this jeep.

Anyone who is interested in this SUV should be looking at 3m plus. Nothing less.
