death literaly is a state where mortal ceased to live and man is no more part of these physical world. while hell is a place as rightly said before by others.
But note that lake of fire is part of Gods kingdom and its the place for eternal pubishment for satan..demons n fallen angels with everyone that refuse Christ...sinners...unbelievers.
lake of fire came forth from God as a result of His anger against Sin.

Yes, as a metaphor. But may mean the fallen angel in charge of hell itself.

It seems 'death' is 'male' and 'hell' is 'female'; husband and wife. Both are vitally linked. Hell is like a womb, an enclosure of some sort. Everyone is conceived and born in spiritual death and kept like spermatozoa in the testes of Mr. Death. Unsaved people at physical death are 'ejaculated' into the 'womb' of hell.

When someone dies before rapture (The Coming of OUR Lord) and the person is a sinner, such person is condemned and cast to hell fire. After rapture,, wen Jesus will release His fighting angels leaded by Angel Michael and the wall begins, The Holy Angles will surely prevail over the dark angels (Lucifer) and both Lucifer, his angels, the un-raptured and everyone in Hell fire will be cast to the lake of fire. I wonder way people misinterpret God and yet claim Holiness. How can God be so angry that he will punish a sin of a 100 years with eternal damnation in hellfire or lake of fire? By the way, there is no Bible that mentioned hellfire, just hell. Come to think of it, I was not even born perfect so why should I burn for my inherited imperfect state eternally?

Most people read their bible without indepth understanding. We fling our bias and lack of understanding as if we know the will of God.

Come off it, hell=death, lake of fire= second death. Period! By the way, does 'hellfire' mean that the devil and his boys will loot, deceive and still keep their 'kingdom' while God watches as he punishes sinners ?

Lake Of Fire and Hell, are not the same thing. Their differences are explained as follows:

Hell is neither Hebrew or Greek in origin

Sheol is, what is in the original Hebrew text for hell
in other words, hades or hell was the Greek substitution for Sheol

As a matter of fact, Hell actually finds it roots in the classic Greek mythology, hades

Hades incidentally was the ancient Greek god of the underworld.
The god's name (i.e. Hades) later turned to mean the place or abode of the dead, which actually is what Sheol is or signifies

Gehenna is a valley, in Jerusalem, used as a dumping refuse site and was used by Jesus to depict the Lake of fire
(i.e. a place of destruction, as in a palce for destroying via incineration)

As earlier mentioned, Gehenna was the incinerating refuse dump in Jerusalem
Hades however, historically and originally is the name of a Greek god until it got turned to meaning the place or abode of the dead
It later got interchanged with hell, which is from a German word root
It was bible translators who were substituing the original Hebrew word Sheol, with Greek counterparts Hades/Hell that made hell stick with us today

The vital point here is that the Jews DO NOT HAVE THE Greek idea or concept of Hades/Hell

Hell is a greek concept, Jews never had hell, they never shared the Greek mythology of hell.
They had sheol quite alright
they definitely were aware of sheol, abraham's bosom or paradise but not the Greek hell mythology

it depends on the contextual usage in kingjames bible version. The word hell in mathew10:28 represents lake-of-fire (popularly known as hell-fire: it signifies an event where things are destroyed or perished once and for all). The word hell in revelation20:14 represents hedis (a place where the spirit of dead people that failed to believe in the gosple of jesus go), while the word lake-of-fire in that same verse signifies that one time event of destroying things with everlasting effect. These are the things and people that will partake in the destruction: mathew25:41- the devil and its angels. Jude5- unbelievers. Revelation20:14-hell that houses the spirit of unbelievers. 2peter3:7-heavens and earth. Please read those verses. Remain blessed.
