francisxbee: I think you paid 5m into an account whose maximum inflow and outflow was 50k which translates to lump sum, suggesting the funds were borrowed. May not be exact but just a scenario. Secondly it's either you're going for a program which does not relate to what you studied as an undergraduate or probably you're going for a diploma after getting Bsc. Thirdly, your Statement of purpose aka letter of motivation was poorly written. Good morning Bro, please can 1million deposit and an account that has 400k, 500k and even 900k inflows and outflows translate to lump sum? |

freemanj: You do not need to open a Canadian account before coming.
Generate payment advice on flywire or western Union Global pay or paymytuition etc, then fill form A to pay your school fees. How then can one be able to apply for upkeep on trade system without a Canadian bank account please? |

Ketima: Hello Iamblessed,
If you're in Lagos or Abuja, I would suggest you visit the airport with your ATM and pay using their POS (how I did for wife). Reserve the ticket, and go there. Most airlines prices show in dollars but the conversation rate is between 440-448, of which most use 444. In Cad or US dollar ? |

johnstan: The ideal cost is between N3,500 to N5,000, However, because the cost is not documented for you to know, you are at the mercy of the officer processing it, they will simply remit the original cost and pocket the rest. Did mine N10,000 after bargaining from N25,000. The price has changed almost all over the country, they're all saying 30-35k. |

Oyalfares: You can pay accommodation with Form A if it is the school's account. For my daughter, I added everything together, i.e school fees, student union, insurance and accommodation, feeding etc and paid the lump sum via Form A. Then chose education. Generated invoice from the school's website. Can one include both accommodation and feeding with the tuition fee and then get the money from school upon arrival even when school is not providing accommodation? |

Lekiboboe: Okay.
Though this might not be what you want, but to be realistic, based on your 4-years experience as a Barista, and a long Study Gap, a Visa Officer will expect you to go for a Barista related PG Program e.g Hospitality, Culinary, food (for Career Progression).
So If your intentions are different from that, i will suggest you reach out to the gurus for their expertise cos Visa officers want strong and cogent reasons for whatsoever Program and Program qualification you wanna go for and how it shows a logical progression with your education or work experience Thank you for your prompt response. My residence Visa in my current company and Offer letter bear Waiter instead and the program I was admitted and have made tuition deposit is CLIENT SERVICE AND SALES program. It's somehow related to the Waiter job because it is majorly for customer service. So I'm not including the Barista part. Trying to get a reference letter stating that I will be promoted to Call center executive upon completion of the program. |

Lekiboboe: How many years till now have you been doing the Barista job at the Cafe?
What year did you graduate from the University? 1) four years 2) year 2011 but finished NYSC in 2013 3) I have 2:1 but long study gap |

bullstriker: Go with a post-graduate program that relates to your present occupation. You can always switch to your desired program when you get to Canada. Regarding study permit application, long study gap is not a red flag as long as you are employed. My present occupation is not even a professional job. Ordinary Waiter/Barista in a Cafe. Hope there won't be issue with this. |
