It is not impossible if it relates to the present occupation. However, it's easier to convince V.O of career progression when you go for a post-graduate program. If you are willing to share, why do you opt for undergraduate when you can easily get admission for most post-graduate programs regardless of your GPA.
Long study gap is my own issue and no professional work experience either.

Hi

It's rare to see such, more like 1 or 2 person out of 10 or 20 person gets approval with such Study pathway. So in a nutshell, the approval chances of this study pathway (Bsc going for another Bsc) is very slim.

A Visa Officers will see a Bachelor's degree holder going for another Bachelor's degree as a WRONG PURPOSE OF VISIT a.d that's a refusal

If you have a minimum of 2.1 with no long Study gaps, jejely go for a Masters.

But

if it's long you left school or you have a 2.2, 3rd Class, go for a Post Graduate Program at a college related to your Work experience to show Career Progression
What about a B.sc holder going for an undergraduate certificate program related to field of work?

Did your agent tell you why you cannot book a one-way ticket? Please may I know why you decided to use an agent to book your flight? When do you intend to fly? My spouse has booked a one way ticket by himself (we find it cheaper than using an agent) but hasn't travelled yet. Do you mind sharing the price your agent is quoting?
It depends on the type of Visa the accompanying family members have, if visit Visa, they won't be allowed to board.

While I appreciate your contribution here, I will not allow you to insult me and think your opinion is always the right one.

I believe if you read my post again and understand each sentence, you may understand better: perhaps I may be able to further make you open your eyes to see positive things therein.

1. Hypotheses are intelligent guesses. Perhaps you don't understand they don't have to be true always and they don't have to be false always.
2. I never said that is how VOs do reason because I used the word "may". Sure, if I can reason that way, VOs too may reason that way too. A visa applicant have to ensure (s)he makes his/her application tidy from all sides by reasoning that way
3 In the first and last paragraph of my response, I analysed and made reference that it's possible though but with a strong LOE which your unnecessary response also corroborates. You failed to see the part where I said the applicant needs to address the issue with strong LOE and that it's possible that an applicant can change institution and course. I will still make my point known, you must provide strong LOE if you change course and institution in your reapplication. I don't work and believe in 50/50 chances. Perhaps that's the difference between the two of us. I do take responsibility for my failure if faced with it and not blame it on 50/50 chances.

Also the bolded in your response is too hash, unpleasant and unnecessary. You may want to check and review it. You should know this thread is for everyone to share opinion and not for you and your idea alone. If you have something against me, you should address it, rather than conveying your bitterness through this means.

Also, I want to make you understand Canadian Visa Permit process is not totally on luck but your handiwork. If luck will play a part, it can't be more than 5% and the rest 95% is your handiwork. If you don't get something right, it means there is something you are not doing right and not 50/50 chances luck playing out, although there is mercy of the Lord.
Hello Sir, good day. What if one is refused for lack of career progression( chosen course lower than previous studies and not related to work experience) and the person applies for a different course but related and higher than previous studies, would there be issues?

LANDING GIST

Read about the guy that travelled early here after confirming from CBSA and decided to give it a shot. Got Visa in February, missed January and my MBA didn't have a May start date. The long wait was tiring and I was like I might as well leave. Booked BA for June 1st. Got to the airport by 4am and was greeted with Cancelled Flight. Our info were taken and the normal Nigeria back and forth. BA lodged us at Transcorp Hilton and Sheraton Hotels Abuja. The room was huge and it was breakfast, Lunch and Dinner inclusive; all buffet. Food was good, the varieties was top notch...

4.30am June 2nd, BA bus was ready to take us to the airport, the portals brought our luggages to the bus and by 6am we were at the airport. Probably because of the number of people that came in same time, my luggages weren't checked by immigration. Was asked what was inside and I just said clothes and more clothes.

Bags were checked and everything sorted and my onward journey was booked ahead. Documents requested for by BA in Nigeria were;
-International passport
-ArriveCan and
-Covid Vaccination card...

Immigration cleared me and collected offerings x 2, It didn't matter though but I guess I was just feeling generous cos they weren't forceful, just friendly. Let me add that Abuja airport is clean clean and very organized.

Flight was delayed for 45mins, connecting flight was 3hrs differential. We got to Heathrow on time though despite the delay and I proceeded to the gate for Montreal (I didn't have a transit Visa and I didn't need one). BA breakfast was a mess though....Document asked for in London;
-International passport
-Boarding Pass

Connecting was easy though. So left London and got to Montreal in 6hrs 15mins. The flight was short and meal was better but all on my mind was immigration.

I was directed to Immigration at Montreal after electronically filling the declaration form. I printed my number at immigration and before I could catch a breather, boom my number was called. The officer showed me a list posted on the wall and said to bring those. When I saw School fees payment receipt, I was like Mogbe o lol. I didn't pay school fees before visa cos my school nor too like refunds so school fees wasn't compulsory and no deposit was required. I wanted to pay before leaving Nigeria but them say this year fees will be updated June. So what to do?

The immigration list at Montreal pasted on the wall were;
International passport/visa
Declaration form(U will get it in Canada)
Acceptance letter
School fees payment.

Letter of introduction was not there but I added mine. Since I didn't have school.fees receipts, I added the letter of confirmation from my school stating students are not required to pay school fees and the email that said updated fees for 2022/2023 will be available in June (please, am a high risk taker o, go with tuition or school fees receipt)

He asked how much I had with me; I said 1000USD (I paid for my house already, and didn't want to take much cash for security reasons only), he was like; is that what you plan to pay your school fees with, I was like No o, so I brought my newly printed bank statement. Was at the bank May 30th to get it. So he asked how much is that in CAD, I subconsciously said over $28,000 and he was like go and sit down. I sha went back to my seat o, calculated and saw it was more than $28,000. I was Sha calm and fired prayer small lol. Less than 5mims he called me and was like ;You are good to go. He gave me my passport and documents and I saw the student permit with it. I vanished immediately before I hear excuse me pls smiley Everything took less than 15mins; So fast!

He didn't ask why I came earlier, he didn't talk much. Just the requirement placed on the wall. Everything was super smooth. My last flight took me to my destination with a friend already waiting for me. I rented my place while in Nigeria and we drove straight home.

Note:
Although I didn't pay school.fees cos of my school and personal reasons cos one UK school is still owing me 3000pounds till date but please if u are travelling, even if you got your Visa without school fees, try and pay no matter how small cos I was shocked to see it as a requirement pasted on the wall.

BA was pretty short, 6hrs to London, 6.15hrs to Montreal (different from what was on d booking sheet) Then 3hrs+ between the two trips.

Ehen, I read alot that Tecno phones don't work here but my Tecno battery is like power bank so I couldn't risk leaving it, and it's been working so well with WIFi, I have Sha not tried it with Sim card. As for charging devices, am using a Universal Charger.

The rule of travelling a month before study has changed. One can travel as soon as your visa is ready but I chose 3months cos for UK, it's 3months prior to your study. I wanted to be on the safer side; Calculated risk.

Sadly I don't have access to my nairaland email but will be happy to answer all questions here.

To those waiting for their PPR...Good news is on the way...and for those planning their trips, I wish you safe Journey and smooth sailing.

Canada is presently warm and beautiful and their cooked meals are eatable...Can't wait to have y'all here...Cheers
please what's the name of that your school Bro?

For Jan intake, you should start applying now.

For Mpower, visit their website and target eligible colleges and universities for admission. Not all colleges and universities qualifies for Mpower loan.
Please are there other finance companies aside mpower? As my school is not amongst the listed ones.

Hello Ojb555666,

Don't input the tuition amount as NGN 1m or above. Leave it at NGN 950,000 or below. You can always click to add a new payment to make multiple payments or start a new payment to pay the completing tuition.

You may find it very tedious paying with your card, use your internet mobile banking or bank App from your phone.

Ensure you input the generated payment code attached in the sent email to you in the transaction as the payment narrative.

Best of Luck
thank you so much for this.

My thought process is to advise you against going for another BSC as it doesn't show progression.

But if you have passion for this new program you're going for. you need a well detailed and explanatory statement of purpose. If you can demonstrate the Reasonableness of your program. You will get your visa regardless.
it's rather a one year undergraduate certificate program not bachelors

Did you tell them you have a bachelors in your first application? If you didn't you have misrepresented and you need a detailed LOE to vindicate yourself to cover all loopeholes.

However, If you declared as expected then it's no problem going for PGD. as it's a more logical step in progression.
Goodluck
