Osemigho: Have you applied for jobs in Canada after schooling? My friends and I have done that within and outside the IT/computer science field. I can tell you for sure that most people in Canada spend about 4-6 months of dedicated time before getting a job. Some spend years without it. Getting an interview doesn't equate getting a job. By the way, I work in the IT/Computer Science field in Canada. So I can say I have some practical experience of job hunting in that field in Canada.
Did you or any of your friends submit PR application in Canada recently? I do have friends in canada waiting for passport request since early 2021. Their only grace is that their work permit is three years.
It is not my business what anyone choose. I am just here to advise those that care to listen that they should aviod 1 year PGD if they can. It will save them future stress, headache, and need for aviodable permutations and calculations. At the end, I understand everyone's journey will be different even if we have the same destination. All the best. hello Bro, how about a year and six months certificate program, can it guarantee one a 3 year PGWP? |

mrprolifik: . Congratulations . After the 1year certificate program you are entitled to 1yr post graduation work permit. You can apply for the Canadian study permit from UAE as far as your are a legal resident of that country. You stand a better chance of getting the study permit application approved over there if ; I. You are a permanent resident of the UAE ii . You are working there ( if you are self sponsored) iii. You have got strong ties to that Country These are just some of the few hurdles you need to scale through. Good luck. Nb : I am not an immigration consultant or expert and all I have written above are based on my own understanding. Thanks for the response Bro. 1) will I be able to get my permanent residence with the one year post graduate work permit? 2) I'm a legal resident and work here legally. 3) I do not have any bank account here, all my money in naira. 4) still need a sponsor to complete my proof of fund. |

I will advice all unemployed people here to seek for other opportunities elsewhere, if there is any other batch anywhere and you get called, good. As for me, I left naija for Dubai since last year even while still hoping I get called. Just get yourself something doing no matter how little. No opportunity for unconnected in Nigeria of today. |

Hmmm, the way some persons here are taking this protest of a thing personal makes one to wonder what their motive is. Or could it be that they have hidden interest that the protest might jeopardize? It's a free world, allow them to do what suites them. |

Mailbab: I appeal to you all to halt this protest for now because of 2019 budget that will be effective from July 'next month', it might be the reason why DPR has not placed calls on lucky applicants. Please let's give them some time rather than embarking on protest that will jeopardize their reputations. Lol. Deception everywhere. I weep for my country. |
