johnstan: PTA requirement is kinda general, it's not specific to a particular bank. You will need your return ticket and other travel documents like your permit etc to process a personal travel allowance. The challenge people have is that they usually just book a one way ticket and that does not qualify you for PTA.
Good luck. Does one way ticket with return as dummy ticket qualify for pta? |

Joedave25: @ Chizzyonwuakpa,
It will be risky to embark on the journey without a valid LOA.You look for admission and update IRCC before you set out in order to play safe.
I hope this helps. Admission from same DLI o, outside that na fresh study permit application |

JustMellow: Hello Ojb555666,
Not necessarily. It might pose a problem if the decision/reason(s) for the action is not adequately justified. As mentioned in my previous post, it is somewhat of a new change, in that, the implementation patterns by IRCC are yet to be clear based on 'practice.' However, several factors could become a problem in being eligible for the PGWP, which is not reduced to:
• non-attendance of classes;
• taking unscheduled breaks;
• switching DLIs (without notifying IRCC/updating the new DLI information in the online account – GcKey. It seems the option is not available in the IRCC Portal;
• Failed courses;
• Violating the SP rules & regulations;
• Working beyond 20 hrs/week – temporarily suspend, as you may know already that international students can now work full time starting November 15, 2022, until December 31, 2023;
• Breaking the Canadian law/DUI – taking very seriously;
• Domestic violence;
• Studying/working with an expired/invalid SP;
• et cetera.
Cheers! I thought they said one can change DLI within Canada by only updating GCKEY account that's informing IRCC or through web form or e-mail for IRCC website/new portal. Which one come be justifiable reason again and how can one know if the reason is justified |

JustMellow: Hello KRTL,
It will be best to maintain the program level you got approved for. Since the change of rules regarding program/DLI change by IRCC, it is not clear yet to fully understand the impact on PGWP in real life.
Only if you can justify your reasons for such an action/decision, then it's fine. If not, it MAY cause an issue during your PGWP if adequate justification is not provided. It is up to the VO to apply discretion. Changing your institution is fine, but it will be wise to maintain your program level.
Your school will always agree to change your program. You can speak to your DLI immigration advisor or interview recent international graduates.
Success is all I Wish You! Please can you throw more light on this Sir, are you saying that changing DLI and course in Canada may result in problems getting PGWP? |

Calmdexter: There was no deportation stamp on my passport but I applied for a police report and it was declined saying I have an immigration ban, so I guess that’s deportation uhn? UAE do not affix deportation Ban on passports, but it's in their electronic file. |

bepositive11: But isn't there a possibility of IRCC contacting UAE for his background information because Calmdexter will definitely have to reveal that he was in UAE at some point.
@Calmdexter In addition to stating that you've been deported before, I think you'll have to include an explanation in a LOE.
I think it may have an impact because you overstayed illegally right? If not, why exactly were you deported? It's not adding up... did they really deport you even though you did nothing wrong? IRCC would definitely find out, they will contact UAE's immigration and police for his background check since he submitted his stamped passport pages, so he better disclose any information concerning that. |
