From my own little research, I think the Igbos are not good in politics. Apart from putting all eggs in one basket as regards American election, let's take a look their politics here in Nigeria.
Do you notice they always castigate anybody who was APC but who is now PDP? They'd attack Kwankwaso, Obi Ezekwesili, Atiku, Sowore for daring to change parties. Now where do they think they'd get the numbers if they continue to reject and convince others to join PDP? Watch Nnamdi Kanu and you'd see what I mean. He uses disparaging words to describe other tribes, instead of building bridges, he builds gulfs.
Anyway back to the topic.

“I wondered if it were you, I wondered how you will react. I hope what I was feeling inside did not betray me before him. So, I understood it.

“The problem between cattle-rearers and stagnant farmers, I know which is older than me, not to talk of him, because I think I’m a couple of years older than him, were happening. And there was climate change and population growth.


“I tried to explain to him that it has got nothing to do with ethnicity or religion. It is a cultural thing which respective leaderships failed the nation.”

The unity in the North, if only south could have just 50% percent. It's very difficult to separate Hausa and Fulani, maybe because of religion, anything Fulani people are doing you will never see an Hausa man complain especially when it has to do with religion or politics.
