meccuno: I tell anyone who cares to listen.....assuming the war wasn't fought from 66-70,a very bloody war would have erupted in the 80s.....its unfortunate that the igbos had to bear the brunt of the unity of Nigeria with the loss of 3 million souls........but the truth is that Nigeria will not survive another war, uprising or rebellion against the state......it will never recover from it....... Ndigbo paid a heavy price that we haven't recovered 50 years after. That first coup was anti Igbo. |

Politics › Re: Buhari Wants To Imprison Jonathan – N’delta Group by Ojiofor: 12:40am On Jul 19, 2015 |
abbaapple: Sequel to the News that the Biafran radio operator/ Engineer had been arrested, many Igbos went to war on social media condemning the violation of his human rights and insisting of a breech in Law. Let the truth be said, the law is an illusion which can be adapted to suit predominant interest in the human society.
Consequently, the law applied in a State of Emergency is different from the law applied where National Security is threatened and Normal laws suited for normal situations. Even the USA has in the name of lawlessly extraditing identified targets end up abducting full grown adults to Guantanamo bay prisons in Cuba irrespective of their fundamental human rights.
The Igbo race can best anyone in commerce and are egalitarian in nature. This implies that an average Igbo man is highly individualistic in line with the tenets of Mercantile Capitalism. Furthermore, their egalitarian nature negates every attempt to accept foisted hierarchical autocratic leadership structure. The few Igbo who do so are the exception to the rule while the majority won't accept it cause it fights against their biology. This is because it requires them to subsume their personal private interest for a greater general public interest! The West and North have been greatly shaped by both the Trans Atlantic/Trans Sahara Slave Trades and indigenous periods of Feudalism before the advent of nascent Capitalism to be autocratic with a ruling aristocracy.
Given the premise above, Igbo's can only resort to becoming economically relevant in 9ja as China is to the World. From this stead as party or candidate sponsors they can seek to adjust the levers of power in any polity using their partners, godsons or stooges. They could also resort to grand standing and posing to play the West vs the North to get their piece of the national cake anytime and anyday. Everybody would then require the Igbo support to ascend the political pyramid in 9ja.
Resorting to seditious acts bothering on treason may not be the best approach as the Biafran struggle is not enjoying all the southerners support right now. This makes a realizable Biafra a landlocked entity. Would the Biafrans then Lord it over the coastal minorities without resistance, sabotage, subversion and entrenched acrimony? How prepared and ready are the Igbo's to unite, persevere, endure and honorably resist dangled carrots this time around. How does you r lecture/epistle relate with the topic?abi every thread must turn to Biafra debate. |

HopeAtHand: Preach that at your Lower Niger Congress meeting.
One thing the Igbos will not be allowed to do is to attack any tribe in PH, they cannot forget that they are also visitors and can be booted out anytime.
Tell them that at your meeting.coming from a very inside source. You always find a way to bring your ikwerre nonsense into matters that has nothing to do with your village. |

Iriruaga100: I saw this thread yesterday nd its still trending here. Oreva should go read what transpired b/t ojukwu nd boro during the civil war. Let me state it clearly, that our people nd other miniority tribe dnt believe in biafra. In fact, what will be the gain of the miniority tribe in biafra? Its a pertinent question that boro asked of but ojukwu gave a silly answer. If the igbo man in nnewi, nnsuka, owerri nd enugu still discriminate against the man in agbor, ogwashukwu, asaba nd ikwere. Then i see us the miniority tribes as slave in biafra, if we decide join them. The name biafra should be changed to niger delta republic or something different nd with no attachment to igbo culture or the civil war. If what i said above is done, that is when we will trust the igbos. You are free to remain in Nigeria with hausa/fulani and yorubas. To be a Biafran is not by force. |

Where in my post did I limit Ndigbo to the SE? You are wrong rather many aniomas deny being Igbo and anything to do with Igbo post civil war. They never were in south east so how can they forsake a region they never belongs to. |

Culture › Re: The Aniomas of Delta State by Ojiofor: 2:13pm On Jul 12, 2015 |
Anioma people were proudly Igbo when the going was good for the Igbo nation in Nigeria. They were Igbo culturally, politically as their leaders were among the fouding fathers of then powerful Igbo state union and they used their close relationship with Ndigbo to dominate newly created Midwest region.
It was the same Anioma vagabond sons that brought calamity to the Igbo nation and made us to lose our enviable position in scheme of things in Nigeria and today those bastards won't let us rest with their noises of we are not Igbo. Let it be known that a friend or brother that denies you in time of trouble is not worth losing sleep for him,I mean they can go to hell for all I care.I will never waste my previous time to indulge in convincing one iddiot to accept being Igbo.so far they have brought nothing to Igbo nation than pain and war.
As we are struggling to stand on our feet once again, one thing we do not need is distraction from ungrateful opportunist that can never be trusted. My apologies and sincere regards to HRH Obi of Asaba and other true sons of Anioma. |
