How can you regret it when you know you just escaped death?

Sex kills!

Women have been telling men since but your love for pleasure is not letting you see that it is a love for death and curses.

Sex with your properly wedded wife is the only lawful sex that God has given man and that is where God's Blessings is.

grin grin Fabcol my man, you know we have been friends since last year. Let's just say I was not in the mood though you have a way of confronting people that I don't like, esp when you did it to Eldeee.

The conversion aspect, I was only correcting the guy that said 3.0 above is the least for 2,5 German scale which I know is not true. Some German schools that I know even accept 3,0 for MSc in some programs. So brother having a 2.8 or 2.7 should not rule out the MSc aspect especially with a good motivation letter and CV (experiences).
Meanwhile how will someone with Nigeria 3.5cgpa have 2,5 German score? I bet u their was a mistake with his handlers cos I had similar experience but pointed it out to them which they corrected.
Dailydolar would have done better in explaining this cos I learnt it from him in the last thread, sorry he is not active here anymore.

One love bro
PLEASE mention the schools you know accept 3.0 for MSc programs

This is not how to ask questions sir.

You are asking me how I got my job what skills I had and what role I am working in here. Those are kinda personal related questions. He remain small you'd ask for my company, salary, name of my wife, where I stay and all name of my exes.

I asked you if you wanna go into tech so I can maybe share some tips with you and advice but no you decide to act entitled. Stop the entitlement mentality.

This thread is simply for "General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries". Let's be guided please

If you wanna go into tech or switch career please read this https://medium.freecodecamp.org/how-i-switched-careers-and-got-a-developer-job-in-10-months-a-true-story-b8895e855a8b then you can ask question about what path you wanna take and I can be able to advice and mentor properly.

By the way. Tech jobs pays pretty much here in Europe. Not as much as the US but at least more than Nigeria.

And lastly since I got here I have been getting lots of counter offers from other companies trying to recruit for technical roles

Thanks for responding. Pardon me if you felt invaded personally. Initially, I was subtle until you requested that I be direct. I have no entitlement mentality and absolutely no interest in your personal affairs. I really appreciate your comments related to securing jobs and if it's OK with you kindly share the technical roles available. I have an engineering background and currently having a management information systems experience.

Are you into tech? If yes what do you do.

If not what interests you?

I can lie about my job role, educational experience and udemy skills or what ever you call it just to discard your questions but just tell me what you wanna achieve and I'll advice.

Please don't make a biggie out of my enquiry. I've been inspired by the testimony of others especially the originator of this thread when I asked a such . It's not for you to see how it helps me honestly - that's all I cared about.

Oh! I thought I responded to that. However, the relationship between BI and MIS is that MIS is a framework in the BI process. In simple terms MIS is a stage in the BI process, it involves staging, warehousing and reporting but the full BI process needs interpretation and recommendation of the reports and how to use the report to answer business problems. BI is more of numerical and statistical analysis which tends towards you being analytical in your approach to problem solving and recommendations to business problems.

Basic foundation is your first degree while you also need to take a step ahead to learn computer programs to gain more experience.

I took some of my BI trainings online via udemy and edx while also working and gaining work experience.

Learn programs like Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Microstrategy to mention a few also be very good with Excel.

Thanks abunch

Honestly, cant remember. I did it 2016 and the fees are not as straight forward as COREN.

I remember some basic fees i paid as Application fees N20,000, Registration and induction fee N56,000 and MCPE was N20,000, branch membership fees N10,000, division membership fee was waved for me at the branch level but it could be up to N50,000. Branch seminars and tutorials N15,000 (a friend paid N40,000 at his branch). Apart from several other things you may need to pay for as a group but not necessarily in fulfillment of NSE guidelines. For example, our set had a community project which we paid N10,000 each to drill a borehole in a rural village.

NSE fees are not as standard as COREN since there are branches and divisions that set their own fees.
Thanks

Its slightly more.

COREN
Application and processing N12,000
Registration, stamp and seal N35,500
Transcript fees plus speedpost (ABU, Zaria) N11,000
Practice license N10,000/yr
Total N68,500

This is not including other cost of transportation for transcript application and to pick Certicate, seal and stamp.

NSE is way higher and depends on the branch.
Hey! Can you kindly give a breakdown of your expenses for NSE?

@ kay2112 (and anyone else it might benefit)

I know we've been communicating via mail but I decided to post this here as it might benefit others in similar predicament.

After sending you the mail yesterday, I started racking my brain at the apparent contradiction in the school offering you admission to study in Switzerland on the one hand and making it virtually impossible to actually travel to Switzerland on the other. Having lived here for almost a decade and knowing the Swiss (arguably one of the most efficient country on the planet), this conundrum distresses me to no end. As a result, I went to the International student support of ETH Zurich (not University of Zurich) because the ETH, being a more global university, has way more international students than Uni-Zurich and they deal with such cases way more often. I got some valuable information there and just to be sure I also called the Migrationsamt in Zurich (Swiss office of Migration) as well as the embassy of Switzerland, Abuja and they both corroborate what the lady at ETH international student support told me. So here it is:

As a student, there are two layers of immigration you have to deal with before commencing you study viz getting a visa to Switzerland and establishing residence in Switzerland. You and I have been asking the wrong questions because we were asking about the second step and not the first (that's partly my fault as I should have known better). Anyways, for the first step which is securing visa. You DON'T need to have a Swiss account to demonstrate that you have the financial means. All you need to do is get a bank statement from any of the banks in Nigeria showing you have at least 21,000 CHF equivalent (circa 7.5 to 8 million Naira at current exchange rate), attach this to the requisite documents and complete visa application package and submit at the Swiss embassy in Abuja.

The second step (establishing residence) is the one where you NEED a Swiss bank account also showing 21,000 CHF or its equivalent.

That's what I was told by the offices responsible for such so that's close to the "official" position.

Unfortunately, the people at the embassy and Migration office only speak rudimentary English and it can be quite difficult to navigate if you don't understand German. Perhaps, they couldn't explain to you clearly in English but I managed to get an answer from them because of my "passable" German.

Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.
Many thanks. What are the requirements for a Swiss account? Assuming I deposit the requested amount can I withdraw after applying & securing the visa? I look forward to your response

Your chances are pretty slim I'd say. Know that many master degrees require a Norwegian C average. Third class is a Norwegian D so you'd fall below the required grade in most cases. They may or may not weigh your work experience (most likely not).

Just popping in to say I'm glad to see this thread still going. I still get a lot of PMs regarding studies in Norway, but the truth is that there are too many for me to actually reply to (I actually tried making a new thread in the past with all info on the front page, but it was locked. It's really a hassle having to dig through all the pages in this thread). At the moment I attend UiB, so if anyone's heading that way (or any other matter), reply to this post and I'll be happy to help you all out.

I'll also be more active on NL from now on. Good luck to every one.

Nice to hear from you again. Presently, am having quality working experience in the field of Management Information Systems and am hoping it can help me secure admission in the future despite my third class grade. What are my chances?

If you are in IT field or Engineering field, you can come to Germany, many times they take people in IT that doesn't even know so much of the language but if it's other field, you should stick to that Canada not minding the cost. At least for integration, you will almost be like you are home if you go to English seaking countries. No matter the option, you need money and once you get yourself a good paying job, investment back in Nigeria isnt a problem at all
Hello, what's the market/demand for Management Information Systems specialists like?

I have been busy so couldn't really continue with my myth bursters as planned but I will try.

Myth 7
Germany is fun!
Germany is beautiful, the people are super duper nice and courteous.... You wouldn't experience physical or aggressive racism. Most of the cities are safe and crime free! But one thing German is not, is "fun"... You must double your hustle, remove your mind off Saturdays owambes, there will be no mogbo moyas, you will not tear up players at viewing centres, no street dances and performances by promoters at computer village, no drama on the streets... Have a fill of these when as you leave Naija... Germany is work work work work work.... You are working hard at school and you are working hard at work! No time is free, free time is a sin..... Your anthem is, "everyday I'm hustling, everyday, I'm hustling..." By Rick Ross....
However, NSIG is trying hard to organise events to make people come out more and relate. To kill depression and make you have a feel of home... Germany is a very beautiful country in and out but be ready, be very very ready. [/quote] Pretty scary smiley
