Politics / Re: Letter To President Goodluck Jonathan: The NYSC Presidential Awards: Reminder by OKKO(m): 3:23pm On Feb 15, 2015
The whole scheme is messed up; both state and local government awards have been shelved in many states since ....
Imagine states even owe corpers that monthly stipends ask Gov. Amechi and co.
This country is just meant for politicians and politicians alone.
Politics / Re: OMG! Lagos To London Is 5,000km & Jonathan Has Built 25,000 Km Roads In Nigeria? by OKKO(m): 3:09pm On Feb 15, 2015
For the doubting thomases; I did house job in Zaria and served in Bayelsa State after, I has been opportune and satisfied to use the following federal roads in the past 2 years.
1. Abuja to Abaji to Lokoja newly dualized lanes.
2. Oweri to Onitsha
3. Kano to Maiduguri
4. Some parts of East-west road
5. Some parts of PH to Enugu express
6. Enugu to Ebonyi to Calabar express
7. Okene new express road
*** there are so many Federal government maintained express roads in the North and middle belt.
I don't know the total distance done but I appreciate the quality of road done by this administration.

The most important thing the reconstruction or the moribund rail line. That is more capital intensive than the "tocumbor" trains as the OP claimed. APC and lies!!! The monorail in PH and Metro in Lagos which way?
Praise the praise worthy and condemn the otherwise.

If all this is true, there is a need for GEJ to direct ICPC to urgently investigate them...but unfortunately he will not. That is why we are saying that he is incompetent.

For those claiming to be expert in research, claiming that the graph by OP is lie because AI is formed 1993 and can't handle data based on 1985 governance; you are just showing your ignorance in an area called RETROSPECTIVE research.

Based on National Statistics, Archives and Documentaries you can research or make publications of an era 50 years before your born.

Some of the writers of award winning War Novels were never at the front line.

Politics / The Real Agenda Of APC Revealed by OKKO(m): 12:38pm On Feb 13, 2015
Let APC tell us their stand on: FOI, PIB, automobile policy (Osibanjo has said Government will scrap it), IPSS salary scheme, Fertilizer E wallet, Aviation reform, unbundling of NEPA, Railway Cooperation, National Conference Report, Nigerdelta Amnesty Programme; to mention but a few! Why not criticize Government reform and policies instead of the personality of Mr. President.

There is something the APC are fighting for; and that is to protect themselves and investments, not for the good of common man nor to implement great economic reforms. They are afraid of what GEJ will do to them and their cronies with second tenure. Of course the same people that spearheaded corruption in Nigeria suddenly wake up and start shouting foul. "CHANGE" is their new slogan. All of them has been in power before non of them has something to show.

They understood what Lamido said "that GEJ is like a mad man in a petrol station and a lighter in his hand".

They are yet to recover from the unbundling of NEPA, Fertilizer distribution, IPISS salary scheme, aviation reform, introduction of trains to brake the transport cartel, partial removal of subsidy in petroleum products etc. The are afraid of imminent reform in oil and gas.

To be modest, I respect GEJ for his courage to probe the fuel subsidy and stab his friends in that sector, I admire his stand in FOI, I most especial respect his selfless effort towards Petroleum Industry Bill - at which he wish to sacrifice his presidential fiat and sole right to allocate oil well in the alter of transparency and due process.

Let us take a look back, during Obj tenure, there was so much noise about corruption yet no big profile case was convicted, EFCC was used to victimize governors, over 70% of them was charged with one corruption case or the other, Gov. Nnamani had over 109 count charges yet no single person was convicted nor a kobo returned to government. GEJ's govt. has at least returned some money from corruption charges. Let us not remember some corruption cases involving the president himself Halibortn, siemens, power plants etc.

Let APC tell us their stand on current government reform and policies.

Politics / Re: Jonathan’s Presidential Campaign In Bayelsa, Preparation In Pictures by OKKO(m): 9:51am On Feb 04, 2015
Ironically GEJ has done much, but has too little to show even in his country home. Lack of genuine infrastructural development in his 6yr of rein at a time of highest oil boom in history , deep corruption, financial recklessness and wayward priorities, insecurity, support for militancy, oil theft, ethnic and religious divide, lack of charisma, deliberate lackadiastic attitude to national issues and general poverty of personal ideas with all time nuisance called PEJ "mama peace" has marred his voodoo and deceitful government in the eyes of masses.
Poor GEJ suffering a huge roar of disapproval from the masses that hailed him 4 year ago has made him sweet at the eve of his re-election.
Even the Governor of his state is among his worse enemies as it stands now. Of course the attempt to ban TAN in Bayelsa, clamp down on GEJ's political associates and several anti party activities has show that Oga as he is fondly called is in complete parallel with GEJ this time. A fight for political survival PEJ has made it in a way that for the Governor to succeed in 2016, GEJ must go down now else the Gov. goes down on or b4 2016.
Helpless Gov. Dickson entered the Samson Siasia Sports Complex venue of the event dazed and depressed yesterday night. No body could understand what is in his mind.
On the other hand, the all powerful ex. Gov. Silva is having an upper hand again a political light weight and new entrant Ben Bruce for their senatorial fight.
GEJ will certainly win in Bayelsa but other legislative positions may not be easy for PDP.

You will pay millions of less privileged Nigerians 5K monthly? How? From which source?

Politics / Why You May Not See Gej's Phd Thesis by OKKO(m): 2:11pm On Jan 22, 2015
It pains me to see people who has never published any research article in their lives discard one in search of a thesis.

Well I don't know why ppl want to see a thesis, it doesn't mean U finished or did not finish a programme rather certificate does.
Most research work/ thesis are useless in the departmental cupboards else transformed into a publish able research paper, sent to a peer review "international or local" journal for months or rigorous review for rejection or acceptance and subsequent publication. The most important thing is the design, method, result of the study, conclusion and recommendations if any.
Often than not, the publication bears the names of the original researcher, supervisors and other research assistants.
In most undergraduate work, the names of the supervisors come before the name of the original owner (student) in any case, all the co authors are accorded same privilege as regards the paper even if they are 10.
In the last decade or so, many research thesis are manually type set, no soft copy nor upload in any site or blog so you may never find a link to download such materials.
For you that said that GEJ works are always co authored, remember that most researchers does not work in isolation, some papers carry the name of statistician that analyzed the work; more over the pedigree of some paper is determined by the integrity of the co authors.
Else some body can sit in a room and produce a thesis just as GMB did with his new WASC certificate.
All the same, his thesis can be pulled from the archives and scanned for all to see; if the department has not made away with the stock!

The chips are down and doctorate President is bickering had on the semi literate opposition. The truth is that today's democracy can not endure the Septuagenarian, Military, Islamic and Myopic mentality of Buhari.

President JEG is by far a more modern democrat, but his highest undoing is his cold feet approach to tackling the insecurity in North East.

But remember that Niger Delta can become what NE is with a more daring consequence to Nigerian economy and existence...if the ND elders decide to play a role Northern elders played in BH. A million Buhari can't quench the fire. No region has a monopoly of enjoying peaceful rein and support while in power and the converse is also true.

Politics / Re: Popular Names Of Government Houses. What Is The Reason Behind The Names? by OKKO(m): 9:59am On Oct 20, 2014
Enugu is LION BUILDING not house
Bayelsa is CREEK HAVEN not house

Both is understandable Enugu govt. House has a relation to UNN mascot which is a lion, the seat of govt of old Easter region, the capital of defunct country of Biafra- which was declared in Princes Alexandra Auditorium UNN. Igbos see lion as a symbol of might, royalty and rulership.

Bayelsa govt house has the beautiful scenery of Yenagoa Creeks at its back yard.
Thanks

But why must the APC escape? Escape to were? From which route? Road or bush or river?
The hours this operation lasted is enough for one of NAF jet fighters to fly in for an aerial support and trace down the APC to their base since BH is withdrawing possible bomb it completely.
High caliber vehicle and ammunition is not good to be in the hands of enemy!

Congrats NA though una get saboteurs ooo, they don already tell this sharia reporters the detail of the intelligence and operation. Nawaooo!

NA & FG is not sincere, you mean this toy is the morale behind the age long devastation of NE by BH. You mean all these amoured tanks and SUV convoy of Shekau can't be picked on air by surveillance jets and helicopter gunships of NAF.
Somebody does not actually want to end BH to gain what? I don't know

Add this to the deployment of 12 mi35M Russian made NAF helico.pter "monsters" , mine resistant anti aircraft "demons" and the morale of our troops; BH is a thing of history. My fear is Borno may be left in ruins.
@GEJ: after using this on BH, prepare to use it on the second enemy of Nigeria and their accomplices - APC, come 2015. Then you sit put in Aso Rock and continue with your transformation agenda.
Who said Nija is not a Military power house in Africa, save only sabotage! We have the money to purchase any hardware, we have the troops, we have the influence in UN to back our deeds.

Politics / Re: Agric Revolution: Rice And Fish Imports Drop By 80% by OKKO(m): 5:47am On Sep 04, 2014
The local production of rice, car brands and those fish(es) has increased dramatically over this period. There is an astronomical increase in rice production in Nigeria; Ada rice, Abakaliki rice, lafia rice etc. Not only rice, Nigeria has done well in

Agriculture; the price of beans has remained the same from the begging of harvest season of last year to ending of planting season of this year in Giwa market hovering over N500 difference per bag with excess of many tones on stores causing acrimony to hoarders. #Enugu planning to export pineapple was in news the other day. Cassava (garri), yam and plantain has been fairly stable over the year.

There was a boom in fish production; with restaurants, hotels, bear joints and eateries operating their own fish ponds beside. New slogan "PIONT AND KILL" became a new other in the market. Live fishes are sold in the markets of hinterlands of SE, MB & SW as fresh fish pepper soup became a new other in our homes and eateries. Virtually every fourth home in SS has a fish pond in the back yard mostly cat fish- and the business is lucrative.

In car policy; I will not speak much, I visited a friend in Nigerian Local Content in Bayelsa and found out that all their official cars is INNOSION SUVs. Many assembling plant has been proping up lately with very cheap and standard cars.

Mean while the issue of smuggling is not peculiar to any country but FG should tighteen our boards. Re deploy corrupt boarder officials.
