That is the news I want to hear...not sham Chanji. Governors with vision are in mission for development. If he stays 8 yrs without distraction he can achieve this and the rest of both industrial and infrastructural need of the state with fall in. It doesn't matter if it is APC or PDP what we need is 2 successive Governors to do 2 consecutive tenures each and every state will develop. Nigeria has a lot of material, Natural and Capital resources to brake even. Let the regions eg SE and SS develop a common trust fund for development. |
@Ephemm: Big lie!!!! I don't know about Abia but in Enugu, state employed civil servants gets their pay on 25th dot, since 3 years now, last month has since been paid. Pensioners are been owed for last month currently. There is also serious infrastructural development going on in Enugu State. Go to Enugu thread on NL and see for yourself. If U drive streets of Enugu at night walahi U will think Ur in London. Sometimes I think were the Gov. got the money for all that... |
@Dannyset: I wonder the manner of people we have here, when facts are laid before you, you jettison it and reply with sentiments. A Government that can't keep their promise barely 13 days in power doesn't good will of the citizens. |
Let the business man just address a press conference with his proposal and write officially to NASS and the President. The news is local, the OP is the business man...but the idea is a great one that can give him national and international popularity. Though I know this is propaganda, but social media will help you sell the idea...get to FB, twitter, other blogs, dailies...you just become a celebrity... LOL mods abeg help him put it to front page. |
Enugu State pride of the east. Imagine if the coal field and orji river hydro-thermal power plant are fully working. But wait ooo how can Enugu's IGR be more than Anambra and Abia even Imo that has a kind of oil and gas business. Maybe the 3 other states are hiding their earning. Wait again don't under rate Ebonyi too: the Nkalagu cement, Abakaliki quarry and lime stones, Abakaliki rice field and mills would compete with 042 ooo |
Though I was not happy when he started demolishing the archaic colonial secretariate complexes. I thought the ageless stone houses with the embedded tower wall clock of British style; would be preserved for tourism for younger generation. I thought the new N13bil could have been done on a different site. But I sincerely appreciate his taste, vigor, and the architecture of the new secretarial complex ... Congrats 042 ... Congrats Gov. Chime |
Great new
One day I shall be there too |
Now can we hold APC by her words. What we desire is change...positive change...not to put the masses in agony. Time to protest is loading! |
BEFORE ELECTION APC will slash tariffs on imported cars -Osinbajo FEBRUARY 11, 2015 : OLUWOLE JOSIAH Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has assured that the General Muhammadu Buhari government will slash tariffs on imported vehicles. He said, “We do not agree that there should be high tariffs on imported cars whether new or old ones because Nigeria is not producing cars for now. “What we will do first is to fix power and encourage local production of cars. But before then we will reduce the high tariffs that Nigerians are paying to import vehicles into the country.” Prof. Osinbajo argued that Nigerians should not find it difficult to purchase cars for their socio-economic activities, and the APC government would ensure lower tariffs when voted into power. He lamented the unemployment situation in the country, saying that as an emergency measure, the APC government would cooperate with states in creating 20,000 jobs annually in the country. He said corruption would be stopped so that resources would be available for development projects. He said under APC government, it would be criminal not to pay pensions, saying the law that would be put in place would compel employers to ensure pensioners got their entitlements as soon as they retire. Osinbajo added that the job creation strategy would involve making loans available to small businesses with little or no interest. www.punchng.com/news/apc-will-slash-tariffs-on-imported-cars-osinbajo/ 13 DAYS AFTER SWEARING IN Confusion at ports as FG increases import tariff JUNE 12, 2015 : AKINPELU DADA AND RASHEED BISIRIYU There was confusion at the Lagos ports on Wednesday as importers and clearing agents had difficulties clearing their goods following the implementation of the Economic Community of West African States’ Common External Tariff. Importers claimed not to be aware of this development, said many of them were asked to pay double what they use to pay as tariff on imported materials. They also said the tension generated by the rate adjustment was heightened on Monday and Tuesday when they could not assess the Customs online portal. Details of the new tariff show that a zero per cent duty is payable on goods imported under social and necessary items category; five per cent on raw materials; 10 per cent on intermediate goods; and 20 per cent on finished goods not produced locally. Osunkwo also said in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents that while 35 per cent rate would be paid on imported used vehicles, 70 per cent had been imposed on new vehicles to encourage auto industries to assemble vehicles locally. According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer, NCS, Mr. Wale Adeniyi, the new tariff comprises an Import Adjustment Tax list, which involves additional taxes on 177 tariff lines of the ECOWAS CET; and a national list consisting of items whose import duty rates have been reviewed to encourage more development in strategic sectors of the economy. It stated that the Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko, had directed the immediate enforcement of the tariff provisions by all Customs area commands and urged all stakeholders to comply. He also allayed fears about fresh port congestion resulting from the ECOWAS CET implementation, noting that there were usually initial teething problems at the start of any policy. http://www.punchng.com/news/confusion-at-ports-as-fg-increases-import-tariff/ |
Nigerian politician and method of politicking remains the same weather APC or PDP. Shame on those who preach change...cos in their bedrooms impunity has come to stay! |
As if to say that is enough to repeal Islamic/ Sharia law practiced by "owners of Nigeria" were children as young as 7 yrs are taken as bride and banged straight away by their grand daddies of over 70 years old. In the north, Nigeria has two parallel constitutions but in the Niger-Delta they can even be allowed to control their resources. |
A typical suicide bomber have some characteristics of an average northerner-muslim. He/she is an illiterate with poor socioeconomic upbringing, devoid of parental care and transfer of genuine responsibility, value and goals of life. Armed with religious bigotry, burning hatred for infidels and tribalism...then arsenal all over his body (from daggers to to matchets to light fire arms to explosives to heavy atillary). IT IS A WAR OF IDEAOLOGY ! |
APC = tribalism = power to the North, crumbs to the West then others may be considered. |
Delusion. |
This heardsmen issue is becoming terrible yet other numerous problems the country is passing through masks it. People are slaughtered in scores, not even cows has been maimed like this in monthly basis. GMB you have a lot more than you taught to face in few months time. Da m' fulani mercy for NC nah shebi they voted for your brother? Haba una no see SE and SS? |
Cos he has a different ambition from the party. Let him explain his involvement in Amaechi's faction of NGF that claimed they have reconciled with predominantly Jang faction. What is his role in election of Zamfara gov elect as new NGF? How many serving and new PDP govs attended that meeting? Is he now calling PDP and the Presidency liar by accepting that 19 > 16? Who is he trying to impress ![]() |
Big trash, meant for dustbin. He can't prove any of his claims just as he can't stop a democratically elected governor who has his certificate of return from being sworn in. My problem with APC is deceit, hypocrisy, lies and sabotage. Is APC governors, newly house of assembly elect, new converts and co not guilty of the above. Is Amechi refuse to hand over to Wike, let GEJ refuse to hand over to GMB. Jeo Igbokwe you are not a competent court or electoral tribunal so judge not...but if you insist judge under age voting in the North first and NYSC member killed in 2011 secondly! |
My beloved ADADA people. You shall get all that is your fair share.
Yes oo but who do we have in mind for that slot?
Also warming up to have our new state. The sixth in SE! |
This people are not the newly elected; they are losers of last election which PDP denied ticket at primaries. Now after performing poorly and been boot out, they now turn around to seek the face of APC. Some ppl above me are already rejoicing and coursing other ppls tribe. Ok |
Then Buhari is in more trouble, I was an adhoc staff, INEC card reader failed totally in some centre and Jega him self authorized the use of incident forms. Some said this information was earlier licked to APC states in the North and that is the reason why there better mopped up/ rigged than in south. |
ENUGU state pays at 25th of every month, has much more physical projects ongoing and completed with lesser allocation than IMO state; but Rochas is blaming FG. Shame to APC NIgeria is scammed My worries is that this people can lie to gullible Nigerians and deceive them alot: several months later (when GMB has been sworn in) they will still be claiming that the debt GEJ left behind is their predicament and people will still hail them. |
Nigeria Governors Forum APC Governors Forum Remember that PDP Governors Forum fracas with GEJ was the first crack that lead to the collapse of the wall. GMB better manage this ppl gently devoid of Tinubu or OBJ advice. They are power hungry, negotiation of their share they come for...who said APC or GMB will fight corruption...time will tell. |
If a southerner must get a single vote from the North, it is from the Christians living their. It is a fundamental teaching in Islam and an easy campaign tool simple "NEVER vote for INFIDELS" or Aruna. With the post election violence perceived, the Christians up north was displaced to South out of fear and few remaining was indoors! |
National Assembly is the sit of corruption in Nigeria; eats over 25% of National budget, goes abroad to spend the loot in luxury...damage the economy, impoverish the masses and go over to secondary schools and universities fu*cking the teenage daughters of the poor man in exchange for peanuts...and using the guys for political rituals. |
Let me tell you the truth OP, if u know a real muslim, nothing concern him with Easter. It is sinful for him to acknowledge the reason for the celebration. Prophet Isa "Jesus" is not the son of Allah, because Allah has no son, he lived and died as other prophets and nothing is special about his death, talk less of thinking his resurrection. GMB to greet U is to fulfill all political righteousness. Shiek Gunmi was mad at GEJ when he went for pilgrimage in Isreal saying he is not sensible to the sensibility of Nigerian Muslims. This country is complex, either way there is reason for division. |
Only 4500 paid to selected few in Bayelsa. INEC EO Yenagoa LGA in big mess; he said that they trained more than INEC provided for so he will pay only those that was short listed to work on the other hand he said corpers gave wrong or incomplete account numbers. According to him: No trained = 9800 (?? Batch A,B,C not upto 6,000) No provided for = 8000 No posted to work = less than 3000 1. Money meant for about 5000 persons may not be accounted for. 2. Less than 60% of the ppl posted has received 4500 only. 3. What happens to the balance?? |
I pity you poor Aisha, u started ur own womanhood at 13. |
OP, you did not add that APC gubanatorial primary election did not hold in Imo state. I pity IMO people and their APC government of scam. Okorocha had a good intention initially until he joined the "opposition". Imagine a comfortable incumbent governor moving over to the opposition, what are you opposing in the first instance? Why not sit down and develop IMO as you were elected to do. He lacks core administrative acumen. He is over ambitious (like to run for presidency and governor at same time). Quite exuberant, jack of all trade master of non. Many initiatives no successful policy, no real development, "China type" infrastructures, propagandaist, very erratic...Let him go to Enugu and ask Mr. S.I. Chime how to do the work and talk less. I visited IMO last 2 weeks, the so called general hospitals built; shown all over local and foreign TV stations was scam and wickedness. A building front view is already completed with wall tiles, painting, fine doors, windows etc but the back remain empty, save only rough pillars from bottom to up, no single brick. Just to pose to cameras - the kind of government of Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu; 1999-2007) when OBJ came and commission Parklane (ESUTH) teaching hospital in this form and when back to Abuja rejoicing. If it is the kind of government APC has in SE and SS they want to offer me, let them keep the change. Who is more cruel than these governors (Adams, Rochas, Amaechi) in terms of staff and civil servants welfare including NYSC members in their state (while Enugu pays NYSC 10K monthly, these state pays literally nothing). Still they boast to have something for the youths (job). Especially the former, who was a labour leader. All these are NDDC states with relatively higher allocation to spend. Look at their dept profile. It is this bad, now that they are trying to appease us so that they can take power at the centre. What happens when they finally succeed. |
Exactly what will happen with PDP and GEJ, any body or group that has Islam*ic agenda will never win in a circular state. |
Exactly what will happen with PDP and GEJ, any body or group that has Islamic agenda will never win in a circular state. |
So we hope Borno and Yobe will be mobbed up soon. Let us not neglect to investigate the root sources of BH. Remainder there are some isolated cells in the hinterland of NC (kogi state) and NW (kano, Zamfara, Zaria etc). We must keep our intel alive and boarders tight this time. #NEVER AGAIN |
Objective articles like this deserve front page. ...Our progress as a nation can't be swifter than our progress in education, because human mind is our fundamental resource... Ex American President's address to the congress. |
