Yes that is the game! Politics: the chess masters exchanging ponds. It is now clear to me that Seraki will loose after all. This is a tug of war between Buhari and Tinubu, both men will laugh and dinner together at last while Seraki will cry a river ( he may even end up in jail). This man has too many sins that even a child can pull him down in an unbiased legal battle. Who said Buhari is not corrupt (or put in light terms, corruption is fighting back). He (PMB) has struck a deal to push all PMB's corrupt, dubious and accused "noise makers" (e.g. Amechi, Fashola etc) through senate screening today in return to get all his criminal cases trashed by Buhari led FG. Remember PMB did similar thing in former Bayelsa Govn. Sylva cases of corruption. Both Sylva and Audu are flag bearer for Bayelsa and Kogi gubernatorial elections currently. Tinubu in the other hand has lost out on who becomes Senate president and Ministers especially is his own SW (he never wanted Fashola and co for reasons best known to him). He decided to keep on kicking Seraki to know if he can be removed or better if he can block some of the nominees through the instrument of the Senate...on the other hand PMB don't want the embarrassment the later will cause to his government, so he is currently having nocturnal meetings bargaining unbehalf of his corrupt noise makers and as such shielding the CORUPT Seraki from his own crimes. Unfortunately, by yesterday senate has turn upside down every possible rule that will disqualify those targeted Ministers. 1) Revoked take a bow and go for ex lawmakers ( including former counselors, lol) 2) Two senator from your state to confirm you is no longer sacrosanct 3) Senate committee set aside Amechi's allegations etc For Seraki I think he will be used as a sacrificial lamb later to settle with Tinubu and other APC leaders. *** Remember this is one of the things that pulled down GEJ, his election financiers (Stella Odua, Deziane Allison. and some oil barrons). He treated them with kid gloves yet he wanted to close their shops by removing oil subsidy and cleaning NNPC, they fought back and continued fighting till the end. After sacking Odua, APC and the media descended heavily on Deziane but GEJ said "I can't remove all my cabinet members, even Jesus had a Judas". Buhari is tolling such path sooner or later |
What is wrong with this abokis? Did they bury their forefathers in Niger delta oil wells. Why not be minister of defense as a retired general/ head of state and lead from front line as he promised. With this is ageless brains he is still claiming experience in oil industry. After he was ousted in a coup (1985), what other business did Buhari engage in like other ex-generals that turned to super administrators, business men, captains of industries, proprietors of institutions or at least managing a large farm like Otta farm? His own is a mere 150 cows and people praise him that he is not corrupt, but I see him as a lazy retiree who depends on his millions of naira pension as a former head of state, who has failed to invest or drive private ventures. From all indications he is neither a technocrat nor a successful business man. Ministry of petroleum has nothing to gain from him at this era, he can continue with his supervisory role as a president (over the entire cabinet). |
OP: your thoughts are bright. This is a kind of article Nigerians expect on front page of Nairaland as Senate calls for input of the masses before the screening proper. Mod plz do the needful to this thread! Don't be surprise one of the daily newspapers picks up this idea, develop it and make a good editorial with it. I guess the paper will sell well. |
I bet you by the next 33 years, God himself would have screened Ogbeh is heaven's senate. In politics, few connected elites high jack the apparatus and resources of state, arm twisting the masses. |
My country home at (Nru) NSUKKA (Enugu State) is at the belle of a hill. At onset of rainy season, it is a bit warm inside the rooms but cool outside. We enjoy evening breezes under a bright moon and shiny scattered stars, at times, at night it would be as bright as a white fluorescent bulb...but at intervals a thick cloud covers the sky leaving us in temporal darkness- as we lie on mats enjoying the natural scenery, if it stays that way for about 15 to 20min, mummy will start waking us to go inside, its about to rain, yes and surely it will start drizlling and the rooms will become cool too. Hammartan is extremely cold, windy, dusty and dry, mid rainy season is as well cold always. We experience double maxima of rain and a 2 wks August brake! You may not like the soil, it is predominantly red, dusty and sandy (dirty sheos and fabric a lot) but my area is pebbles all through, it gets very cold in the early morning, punching our bare feet as if it has developed thorns. An undulating hilly and plateau landscape (yet I have never seen a major erosion), covered with a half-sudan-half-guinea savanna kind of vegetation, (palm) trees and shrubs scattered over an extensive grass land. Oh! my home of orchards- the highest producer of all kind of fruits (apart from our Benue State neighbors) in Nigeria. I regret why we don't have major rivers, coasts or beach- save only River Adada! Varieties of savanna animals, domestic and wide; of interest to me is various species of birds singing 2 hourly with a nature made roster, to entertain you with a dynamic melody apt for the prevailing weather condition. Traditional dishes (I once wrote an article of about 80 of them), morals (especially of the girl child), education (home of finest secondary schools and University of Nigeria), cultural heritage (biannual masquerade festivals) religion (christianity and traditional) are all yours. NSUKKA! |

When she and her progeny roar the other. "animals" in the "zoo" shivers. UNN producing great lions and lionesses since the birth of Nigeria. The closest rivals are UI in terms of quality products and ABUTH in terms of geographical size and beauty...OAU is not in her class. Her early combination of British and American systems via introduction of GS which was later adopted by NUC trashed UI's British system bias. UNN boasts of highest number of faculties and department among all, research institutes and centers. We parade great masquerades in science, arts and medicine... RSVP Mr and Mrs. PN and FN Okeke (professors) physics and astronomy Dr. Mr and Dr. Mrs. Onwuasigwe (professors) medicine I can mention twenty of such renowned pairs. |
And before long Buhari's PTF scandal will emerge to join the web. If his does not pacify Obj with appreciable number ministerial slots, his corrupt practices at Ministry of petroleum during the formers Military junta will also be washed outside...and Haliburton scam will rare its ugly head again and the loop continues until Tinubu's case with CCT is revisited again even Saint Sanusi Lamido was mentioned. And political understanding and settlement will come...and the masses will continue to go hungry...and that ends the tale of CHANGE #Desiani Allison Madueke @ smiling on her London sick bed |
Nigeria is a failed state. Just like Biafra flags fly over remote villages in the East, though not on top of Churches. |
@ Passinshot: Can U state categorically how many trains GEJ bought and how much each cost. Or Ur just quoting an imaginary "unimaginable" amount. Plz let's discuss with facts and figures. The rail line that passed behind my uncles house at Ebano Tunnel Estate, in Enugu was totally reconstructed by Chinese company that handled that project. We used to watch them work and it is more tedious and capital intensive than road construction. The rails were messed after 30yrs of neglect. Now we have rail from Lagos to Kano, PH to Enugu, crossing many state to even Maiduguri. So the cost of those rail maintenance is also poo? GEJ budgets 1bil for feeding aso rock, APC wails, every body wails...PMB took 2.2 bil for 4 days jamboree to US no body is wailing. |
Now some body should tell Buhari that is GEJ's idea to curb corruption in civil service. During ur new national broadcast commend him don't wallow in castigation alone. GEJ budgeted 1bil to feed aso rock for a year APC cried every body cried. PMB took 2.2 bil to visit US for four days no body cried. |
Recently no body is taking about development can't even remember anything about capital projects what I hear is how FG and state share monthly allocation...yet go home to owe workers. |
Let the wind blow. Let them all come out and give account. |
Order them as what.. A dictator or what? An if not what will happen? He will proscribe the NASS or what or order the impeachment of the speaker or what? Is it an APC house or rep. or Nigerian House of Rep.? He can do nothing...learn to live with the reality of democracy. This is not millitary supreme council 1984. |
Let me felicitate with the people of God, whom he elected for himself. The most organized religious denomination world wide. Subtle and kind approaching divinity with humility, peaceful but universal Can some one sing litany of the saints in latin into my sober head! |
Op: you are just repeating the truth. Believe me some ppl will like to prove you wrong. "The worshipers of idol and man, the GEJ must go team" Even when the man has bowed out quietly they still feast on him, tracing their dullardness to him. The Mod should move this to FP so that the tick heads would learn |
Lol
GEJ a fu*cking presido
Buhari a masturbating presido #masturbating trending@Iwuanyanwu interview! |
Lies and propaganda |
It took the vision of one youthful leader to bring back the railway cooperation. It can only get better if PMB continues improving it. GEJ has laid necessary platform for modernization of Nigeria...my fear is that APC/PMB is not demonstrating a clear road map. All they plan to achieve is probe one administration and spear their cronies! See how they undermined this thread www.nairaland.com/2168039/apc-been-misinforming-us-transformation |
With the Kano to PH train service running on the other thread, I am now vindicated. Folks here saying pix is from London just because they hate on man. |
God help me I must touch there one day. That is how Dept of Chemical Engineering, UNN was left in ruins since then because the Ogbunikwe technology emanated from her. |
APC should understand that campaign is over and a government can't go far with lies, propaganda and hypocrisy. Another example is the most hyped "campaign promise of" monthly payment of N5000 to the poorest 25 million Nigerians. In as much as it is difficult to determine the poorest Nigerians, it is also not easy to account for the number that actually gets what...else politicians will divert the lot as usual...and rather volunteer to serve jail terms. The gullible believes the proponent of this policy and the APC media propagandists that "this would be a new and most effective social welfare aimed at reducing poverty" for me it is not true, in fact it is watering down of know standard or in their own language a negative CHANGE. Obj lead PDP government introduced poverty eradication programme, later renamed poverty alleviation...the same programme was capture under sure-p and continued during GEJ tenure. In fact during Obj era N10,000 was paid to people under the scheme in LGA's and farm implement like wheel barrows was distributed. In GEJ era menial and non skilled jobs was given under sure-p in LGA's on contract bases and salaries up to National minimum wage was given. Don't be deceived be guided, demand for genuine CHANGE. Read the extract*** Successive regimes in Nigeria have tried different policies and programmers geared towards reducing the level of poverty in the society through a number of ways. First, through the activities of its ministries/agencies; second, by collaborating with international agencies; third, and more importantly, through the establishment of agencies equipped solely to fight rising poverty and unemployment in Nigeria. The Joda Panel, established at the inception of the civilian administration of Obasanjo to review the various poverty eradication programmers of the previous regimes, identified over twenty such institutions (list in the main article). The National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) was established in 2001, with the goal of eliminating “core” poverty over the next ten years. NAPEP evolved four core schemes: i. Women and Youth Employment Scheme. This is essentially a training and skill acquisition scheme. ii. Social Welfare Service Scheme: This scheme undertakes the provision of acceptable levels of education, health, micro-credit services, etc. iii. Rural Infrastructural Development Scheme: This is to address provision of rural infrastructure services such as portable water, roads, transport, grazing reserves, etc. iv. Natural Resources Development and Conservation: This entails government intervening by creating enabling and acceptable environment for harnessing the agricultural water, solid mineral resources, etc for convenient and effective use by the small-scale operators and local residents. Whether these programmes and policies have succeeded in either reducing poverty or not is mute point. But this is a kind of programme a technocrat MINISTER would sit down and craftily design, the like of the past Minister for Agric. under GEJ tenure. A government without a cabinet is like a full grown man without a wife; he is largely seen as irresponsible no matter how much he comports self. Another Lie Moh'd lies busted, in the other thread he said Buhari released it to endear himself to the suffering workers across the federation as a bail out to states. |
APC leaders in the North will not like this news. Niger-delta like; multi billion naira amnesty deal already in their minds. Warming up to loot and share! No matter the prevailing condition of this country, smart politicians win. |
Nigerians are finishing ooo |
It baffles me how SW muslims (e.g. Tinubu) thinks they are half brothers to the North. We they pray they refer to you as infidels so U can lead prayer where even the least of the is present; when they start their madness killing they call U fake muslims yet U go serving them as slaves. |
The hawks has started eyeing the chicken. The "sophisticated" media vampires. The area which stated about half a million jobs on GEJ last months hurts the conspirators at North and South-left (in respect to Nigeria Map). |
I am a living testimony too. Got Job about 2 weeks after my passing out of NYSC 2014 "batch A" on Feb. 2015. |
So PMB too can romance? Who ever has evidence should show. That aside; is it bad to appoint your former gal friend to sensitive position as a leader? I need your reactions please |
