If this story is true, it s only in places like Nigeria that this dr will go free. He would have been stripped of his licence and face prosecution and his name will enter peodophile list. What rubbish. But i am not too surprised. Dr Ejik no de take am easy with women right from medical school. If he really did this to a minor, may he face prosecution. Also this should be a warning to all these men that think they can get away with child molestation because they are in Nigeria. |

majiouk2002: hello everyone. Please i need your advice.
I have lodged my application for visa 189 and recently got an offer of admission for a research degree. Also, I had answered "yes" to question 39 of form 1221. Can anyone please advise if attaching the offer letter will aid or hinder my visa 189 application?
Thanks It will not make any difference in the application. You don't have to attach it. |

hordunayodt: pls house, help me check this,
lodge my visa application on the 21st April, all docs front loaded, on 28th April, got a mail from gsm allocated that immi assessment commence, searched through and couldn't get why i got this because i am not claiming points for work experience, and i have all docs submitted. no CO contact till now, pls any idea about the mail, cos it reads your application has been allocated for further processing. I anticipated a direct grant Your case is not strange. Some people do get the mail to alert them which team is processing their application. My brother got it and he was a single applicant. His grant was out less than a wk after, so do not panic. |

moscow30: Please House! Will Answering yes for TB treatment or staying in the same house with someone with TB during the medicals examination affect the Visa outcomes. Please house it is urgent.
CC Bellong You will do additional tests and if still positive, will have to go for treatment. They won't refuse your visa because of that. Hope you declare it if you had it in the past because it will always be noticed in xray. |

williog: My qualification is Electrical Engineering. Did you go for fast assessment? You can easily get invite with 60 points for electrical engineering, Just make sure your cdr aligns with that occupation. You can equally use this ielts for assessment purpose and focus on writing another to get at least 7 in all the bands. |

I graduated with 2.2 from futo in 2014, finished my nysc service last year. Had a plan with my Father to travel to Australia
Thank u You can still come to australia through skilled migration. Engineers must not have work experience before they can get positive assessment. Follow the skilled migration thread for more details. Good luck. |

babylove01: Good day all, To all those who have gotten their grant, congratulations. To those of us still in the process, don't relent our time would come. To those who take out time from their busy schedule to answer questions and give suggestions I say a very big thank you.
I have read up on the thread and I have some questions. My spouse is the primary applicant, he has gotten a +ve response from vetassess waiting on ielts now which he would take next month. 1. I schooled in the UK, do I need police report as well as my spouse.
Yes, you and hubby need police report for all the places you have lived for more than a year 2. Can we go ahead and do medicals pending when he writes the ielts, where can we do it and how long isvit valid for??
I won't advice you to do that until you are ready to lodge your application. Both medicals and police report determine the date of entry and they expiry period is one year. Cc bellong and others please Thanks |

adeomoade: Ambrose Alli university doesn't give student copy. Some suggested I should use a local address and use for for aims. My fear is that , if is not addressed to aims, will it still be valid? Is there anyone who had this issue before now? Please, share your experience. I used transcript i got since 2006 for both assessment and visa application. Just use your office address and i hope you have a contact there that can collect it and send to you. Regards. |

adeomoade: CAN MY REFERENCE LETTER BE TITLED TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN? CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT I MAY NEED IT AT OTHER STAGES OF THE PROCESS.
Don't think it is a problem. Why not address it to aims, you can still use it for visa application. WHICH COURT OF LAW IS THE BEST TO DO A CERTIFIED COPY OF MY DOCUMENTS?
Any notary public can do it.
THANK YOU. |

abamure: My spouse is a Medical Laboratory Scientist and will be submitting documents for assessment (ANZSCO 234611) under Australia Institute of Medical Scientists. The second stage requires that she passes the AIMS Professional Examination to practice. The only center in Africa is in South Africa.
Please, is it a must to write and pass the exam before she can get a positive assessment and PR will be granted or she can get the PR and write the exam when she arrives in Australia as a permanent resident. Thank you.
Not a must. She can go with the MLT classification and seek for state nomination. The only wahala is if any state will be nominating it by the time she is ready.
Please note that we have contacted AIMS but was not given a direct answer but refered us to Australia Immigration. |

Time to tell my own story oo, reporting live from melbourne. Left nigeria on 29th march, arrived 9am melbourne time on 31st. Journey was long ooo. Lag to dubai to singapore to melbourne. At a time, my tommy started protesting cos of too much mashed potato diet, loll. Met up with jukebam in dubai, nice guy. So chilling now in ayoboyo house. She has been wonderful, God bless her. Thank God for nairaland efamily, dont think i could have gotten this far without the prayers and encouragement. Ayoboyo knew me from nowhere but agreed to house me until i am settled. What more could i have asked for? All other things will start on monday. Can't wait to get a job so family can join me asap. May God continue to bless us all. |

chidike: I dont think you need a degree for age care, it has to do with taking care of old people basically, I hear the pay is very decent in oz for aged care, though it not a career path, but its something one can do while trying to get into your profession. Yea, it is a certificate 3 or 4 course i am interested in. Let me await tyosho's responce. Thanks. |
