mctowel01: Sorry i dont have much advice to give, but do you mean that one can just walk to an FRSC office and process the international license, to be ready in two weeks? At what cost?.. thanks
Edit: I just saw that it might not be too useful, but the information can still be vital, may certain situations arise They said it will cost 15000 and will be ready tops 2 weeks. Maybe it s only available for those with current driving licence. |

bellong: Danger of using temporary is once it expires before you are able to completely transfer your license, you will go on learner's permit. I am sure it is not an outcome you would love.
If the permanent can be ready before it is three months after arrival, stall the transfer process and get someone send you the license so you can use it for the conversion. Thanks for the info. |

Thanks bellong, does it matter if the licence is the temporary one? Permanent licence will be ready in two months. |

Congrats jamson.
Dear e family, frsc made a mistake in the date of birth in my driving licence. Is intl driving licence recognised in oz? They advised i should apply for that as it takes only 2 weeks for it to be ready. For the driving licence, i have to apply for reissue which will take at least 2 months. Kindly advice on the way forward. |

cuteannie02: Thanks @jamson and oknee, am looking at June /July, destination Melbourne, right now IOM naija is saying seats are sold out till end of September but still telling me to hold on, however IOM Australia offered 1200 USD, but of course the challenge with that option is sourcing for USD. Thanks for your advices abt the site, didn't trust it 100% sounded too good to be true. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome please. Ahhhh, looking for a flight buddy to melbourne. I am traveling march ending, just sent a mail to iom. I pray the responce will be positive. |

cuteannie02: Hearty congratulations @koolhunk, all is well that ends well.
Hello house, please o, has anyone successfully used cheapflights.com to Australia?, are they authentic, or do their tickets have some kind of restrictions? I am asking this cos I came across the site while hunting for tickets, and their prices seem cheaper than that of IOM, please someone who knows about them should kindly respond. Thank you From the gist i heard , it dosent come cheap. The dollars will be converted at the parallel market rate and other hidden charges too. Iom is still the cheapest. When are you planning on moving and to which state? |

malmo: For brothers and sisters coming over to OZ, try to enroll and obtain a certificate in an Aged care or disability. Cleaning work is good as well, that one may not need certification. Once you have enough fund and you can drive, opt for disability work. It is a lot easier than aged care. Look for shared flat, it cuts rent cost. Try and affiliate with a religious group you inclined to, you need support. Don't the law and pray for God guidance . Hi malmo, i sent you a mail. Pls reply. |

tyosho: If you find abeg tell me too. All the ones I have been seeing when I search google say their programs run for like 6months meanwhile I understand it's like 6-8weeks in some centres. Yea, i emailed one school abt their length of programme which is too long. They replied that the stated length of time is the maximum length to finish the course. One can decide to finish at their own pace. |

We thank God ooo. Visa Lodged.... All documents frontloaded except pcc uk. Still expecting it. I want to ask ooo. Do we need to attach expired passport also or just the current passport. Cos the current passport is fresh, it's the expired passport that have visas, etc. Secondly, are we to scan and attach pages with visas, stamps, etc. Thanx. Anyone in the house can also help with this. Thanx all. Some people do upload all the pgs of their passport. I did not and CO did'nt ask for it. Try and keep it simple to avoid complications. |

bolaobby: Is it possible to control who they can direct such mail to. There are so many bureaucracy in my place of work and the people at the top does not even understand my job schedule and role.
The letter headed paper for my unit has the contact details of the head of my unit and phone number while my employment letter and promotion has that of admin people who might be mischievous atimes. Don't want anybody to throw sand sand into my garri ooo.
The emails are @ company's domain and not free emails. The person they contacted was not the person that signed my reference. My advice is for you to go through your HR department cos they will most likely contact with the most senior admin officer/HR to verify the letter. They contacted him via official email address and asked him to verify if the person that signed is authorised, how much i earn monthly and if my work is full term or part time. |
