Celebrating Halloween but can't IFA. Funny

Edited:

Since this is the first comment, then let's put the matter in a better perspective.

How could a race be so disconnected with its reality? A fully grown YORUBA lady I engage with about the legend of Moremi does not know anything about it.

Ask same person about Deborah, Hannah, Ruth,Mary etc and your ears will be full of "according to my bible...".

How can a people have a future when they are disconnected with their past and their roots? I have heard people who don't know the names of streets next to theirs in Lagos give vivid description of London streets and they are proud of it! Some funny characters who don't know the names of their next-door-neighbours travel several kilometres to hug and pray in deceitful fraternity with total strangers all in a bid to find elusive peace.

We are happy and foolishly excited when we tell the stories of WANDERERS from their "Holy books" and dismiss with scorn Centuries of a Beautiful Heritage,Proud Traditions and enviable cultures as contained in the African Social Order!

We broke faith with our Ancestors and we are suffering the consequences. The descendants of Cavemen and Wanderers, from the West and the East, have given us enough WILD GEESE to chase forever because we are stupid!

Funny Characters like TB Joshua and Chris Oyakhilome ride us like donkeys in the South and Abubakar Shekau kill us like Goats in the North! Thinking about it now, it is actually a repeat, the very same way their progenitors, the early " missionaries" and "Jihadist" performed some 200years ago when they intruded into the affairs of a people who lived better and were more blessed than their miserable selves!

We are in deep trouble and we are fast heading for deeper troubles unless we are able to STOP & THINK!

Gbam! u have just hit d nail on d head. We have a long way 2 go.

I cannot agree less but in my own opinion the REVOLUTION has started gathering momentum. It is obvious this REVOLUTION is going on subtly, a non violent one 4 that matter. Here are d features of this revolution:
-people gradually becoming apolitical
-citizens are no more deceived with ethnicity and religion on political issues.
-we are beginning 2 appreciate d work of our institutions.

Politics / Re: Independent Marketers Accept Blame For Fuel Scarcity by okorune(m): 7:27am On Apr 06, 2016
We are largely discussing only d fuel scarcity on this thread leaving out d major issue of the monopoly by a service company exploiting Nigeria. I think this agent of darkness is intels I stand corrected. No wonder they are down sizing.
Kudos 2 this administration.

Meanwhile, the federal government is set to reverse any decision made in the oil
and gas sector, which is contradictory to the laws of the country.
The government’s commitment against fleece came through the Comptroller-
General of Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali, who upon hearing
that the nation had been losing $1.5 billion annually due to illegal monopoly by an
oil servicing company, said President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration would
stamp out all unwholesome practices that are inimical to the economic interest of
the country.
Ali’s remark is coming in the wake of a revelation by the Chairman of Snake
Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ), Mr. Anwar Jarmakani that the country was
losing between $3 and $5 on every barrel of oil produced, or $1.5 billion yearly to
non-existent laws, which conferred monopoly to an unnamed oil and gas logistics
provider in the country.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Start Of A New World War by okorune(m): 7:29am On Apr 05, 2016
It is obvious that d west has used their media (propaganda), military might and economic power to deceive some gullible people. I have always wondered what an odd world we live in? A world where d only country 2 have used a nuclear weapon for mass destruction not calls other nation aspiring 2 join d nuclear club a rogue state. A world where d manufacturer of military weapon is not a bad country but those they sold it to and thought how to use it are axis of evil. A world where democracy is synonymous with economic exploitation, voters manipulation, gay marriages, etc.
It is becoming very difficult to be sane in this insane world.

We are where we are today because Nigerians don't answer questions correctly. A simple question is asked about remuneration for elective offices and the answers given by 95% of respondents are answers to another question entirely. Only the guy up there that referred the British ambassador to Lord Lugard said something related to the question. Anyway I as well blame Luggard for the useless amalgamation and Zik too for his blind and irritating one Nigeria.

Even you, cleverly ended up answering d wrong question. D question is about legislators pay not amalgamation. It is on record that even those countries that were neither colonized or amalgamated do have these challenges.

This is a mere gathering of failed entities

Any economic gathering with these failed and incompetent hands is nothing but a fun-seeking venture.

Rauf Aregbesola (captain of a failed state)

Rochas Okorocha (owing workers a year salary)

Yemi Osibanjo (mere aso villa commissioner-cum onlooker)

Kemi Adeosun (an air-brained and failed economist and mathematician)

Mohamed Buhari aka dullardo (an incompetent, aimless, illiterate global oil price stabilizer)

Lai mohamed (Bsc. on lying methodology an inventor of modern lying formular)

When Professor Wole Soyinka, not an economist, was reported to have canvassed for an economic summit, and the government latched on to it to organize one, the first thing that should have occurred to anyone familiar with our record for economic summits is to ask the question, “Another one?”

This is not what Soyinka asked for, it is a body constituted by d constitution, the NEC is chaired by the Vice President, and its membership include the 36 state
governors and some Ministers and heads of relevant

It is actually d gathering of d field workers to exchange ideas and compare note on ways 2 move d nation forward.

Crime / Re: Racist Trump Supporter Who Assaulted Nigerian Student Wants To Buy Him Lunch! by okorune(m): 6:19pm On Mar 16, 2016
GurlFriend:
Last Wednesday, an East Carolina University Nigerian student Adedayo Adeniyi was physically removed by security from a Donald Trump rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Adedayo was singled out because he was black and security mistook him for a protester.

On his way out, 20 year old Adedayo was accosted by a Trump supporter Jason Wetzel and given a head spinning slap. Dayo saw stars and heard birds singing after the dirty slap.

He told NY Daily News:

"I have no criminal background. This man does. So please explain to me who the real thug is. A young black man who is a junior in college majoring in medical laboratory science and who also happens to hold many leadership positions there? Or is it this man, with a criminal background who attacked me for no reason?"

In a cell phone video shot by Adeniyi, Wetzel, with hate in his eyes, can be seen staring at him and shouting,“F**k you. F**k you. F**k you,” right before slapping Adeniyi in the face.

70 year old Wetzel, who had previously been arrested for voter fraud later admitted it was him in the video slapping Adedayo.

Jason told Daily News:

“I can’t believe I did that. It was me, but I’m not a hateful man. I just got caught up. When I saw the video all over the news of me doing that to that young man, I was just disgusted with myself, I want to apologize to this young man and maybe take him out to lunch or something."

All I see is economic policies that would just increase hardship to Nigerians.
Presently, manufacturers are almost unable to import raw materials and spares.
These policies would have come in handy when the country's health, educational and industrial sector are up and doing and not the reverse.
And come to think of it, why is everything centred around crude oil?
Why can't we focus on other sectors like Agriculture, Mining and tourism?
The government seems to be taking decisions from 20 years projections and not from the current state of the economy.

I am very confused with d use of d word manufacturers! manufacturers indeed yet we import almost everything. for ur information they are rather called importers of finished goods or distributors of foreign made goods.
Genuine manufacturers are not complaining. For instance, recently lacasera layed off 700 workers not because of cost of doing biz but because they want 2 enslave d workers. What goods is mtn manufacturing that they are laying of workers? we need 2 view things in d right perspective. tnx

Not good for our farming sector.
But from the little I understand about large retailers, they can often fine a supplier if they fail to meet demand or fall behind the quantity required.

May have branched out to others to get a regular supply of the fruits. I don't however, believe it may be the reason. May instead be related to convenience or other issues.

Government should force every retailer to market 'Nigerian made produce' where possible. That'll be a good start.

To be honest with u, it is far 4rm d above. it is just 2 encourage their economic development like Juluis Berger will often use German trucks/cars or Daewoo using Korean trucks/cars etc.
