I believe that it will be better if we can rather encourage our folks to study well and do their TMAs and exams by themselves. It's only when we do so, that we can together enhance the acceptability of NOUN's integrity as a reliable Institution of learning.

Some folks in the country are still doubting NOUN's ability to produce credible graduates and that is something that affects all of us. So, I do solicit the co-operation of all of us here, to do our best in our studies, so that we will not only receive certificates, but will also be able to defend same and stand out in our chosen vocations.

Hallo guys!

I did my exam registration yesterday, but I'm yet to see any TMA. What should I do....... should I go ahead to add all of them manually?
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Okponee: 11:58am On Jul 24, 2014
professorgome: It is not useful requesting for past tma questions. Try to do it yourself. TMA is something you have to first print out, go home, eat and sleep, drink, smoke if you like. Then you sit down with it and your study materials and find answers to the prevailing questions that are therein. TMA help you to study your course material. Wishing to have a solved one is tantamount to asking for answers in the examination hall.
I'm very excited about this piece of info you have given to our guys here, who, instead of doing their best to study hard/ prepare well for their exams, are busy looking for "wrong help".

Many Nigerians are yet to subscribe to the credibility of NOUN, and we are the people to support the Institution to boost its credibility by working hard to ensure that we don't only get a good qualification/grades, but are also able/ ready to defend it anyway. The way NOUN is structured, any well-meaning student can be well equipped in his/ her chosen career line to stand out and confront issues effectively among his colleagues from conventional Universities, if he works hard.

I get disappointed several times when I go through the type of English Language that most of our colleagues have been using to express themselves here (I'm not talking about slight mistakes that anyone can make, but serious blunders), as well as their desire to have others to solve all the questions and send to them. I keep on thinking of the future of our great country.

I therefore use this opportunity to appeal to NOUN students here to kindly be prepared to work hard; ask relevant questions that will help you to understand what you are studying very well; learn to search for relevant info (visit NOUN portals www.noun.edu.ng and www.nou.edu.ng by yourself and your study centre where necessary); try your best to get practical knowledge on your area of specialization where necessary; print out your TMA questions and interact with your course mates to solve them etc. We should work together to boost the standard of this Institution.

The School is heading somewhere. There will come a time that for people to gain admission to NOUN, he/she will go through more tedious processes. I personally gained admission for my Postgraduate studies in January, but I had to wait till now before commencing the programme in order to make some necessary enquiries about the acceptability of NOUN certificates. Having been satisfied to a large extent, I'm about to pay my fees and move on with the programme.

Thanks all

newazuka: Pls can I meet you, am an aspiring post graduate and what to know how much it will cost, okoroazuka@yahoo.com
For any postgraduate programme, apart from Doctorate, you are to pay a compulsory fee of N40k first, if you are a new student. When that is done, you will then have access to the courses you are to register for the semester. So, the amount of money you are to pay in addition, will depend on the courses you are to register for, as well as the exam fee for each of them. See www.noun.edu.ng and www.nou.edu.ng for all the info you need.

ferdimako: No clue..let that be ur concern that u dig to get an answer for between now and d next enrollment period of January 2015. Remember u can go to any study center for official updated info or rely on students. So law students, what is up on law school? NYSC? Mak una dey ask NOUN! No ASUU strikes! No students' Union!
Admission PIN is sold every work day and admission is every day but next enrollment is January.
I attended the just-concluded Orientation/Matriculation exercise for my PG programme, and we were reliably informed that NOUN law graduates are admitted into the Law schools. Also, any Programme offered by NOUN are accredited by NUC. We asked such questions.

Pls can someone use a certificate from NOUN, say PGD, to do his Master's degree programme in a conventional university?

No bros. It's 3 semesters officially, for PGDE. See the -List of registrable courses for 2014 below, which I downloaded from NOUN portal:

Hallo pals! Pls kindly help me out on the following issues:
1. if Someone gets a PGD from NOUN, can he use it to do Master's degree course in any conventional University.

2. PGDE takes 3 semesters because of Project and teaching practice. Is it possible for one to register some second semester courses during 1st semester so that he can take the Project as one of the courses in 2nd term, in order to avoid 3rd term.

3. If I must do the Project and Teaching practice during 3rd term, will I still be required to pay any fees for that term?

rationalmind: Just in case it doesn't happen, promise me u'll openly declare your self a false prophet and also declare the bible false.

Need I remind you, even if it happens, remember the probability of syria getting destroyed in a period of 150 weeks by mere chance and coincidence isn't so big.
@ rationalmind: Pls leave the Bible out of such rubbish, as what you read is only obadiah777's interpretation of The Bible, which is not correct. @ least 150 weeks period is not long from now for every eye to see that what he said is not the Truth. When the said period of time elapses and it doesn't happen as he's predicted, then everyone will confirm him a 'fake prophet', but it's not the Bible that says so.

FamilyRe: Are You Ready For Marriage? 15 Ways To Find Out! by Okponee: 6:37pm On Sep 11, 2013
Mintayo: 15 ways to know if you're ready for Marriage:

(1). If you believe that you must always have the last say in an argument, you are not ready for marriage.

(2). If you don't like anyone invading your space, you are not ready.

(3). If you're a lady, and you don't cook or don't like to,your marriage is not likely to be easy or funny.

(4). If you always say things exactly how they come to your mind not caring who is hurt, your marriage is likely to crash.

(5). If you believe you are who you are and no one can change that, you're not ready.

(6). If you think about others when you've fully sorted yourself out, you're not ready.

(7). If you are so good about holding a grudge and you will only let go when you feel like, stay unmarried.

(.8.). If you're a man and you are not engaged in ventures or a process in time that can financially take care of your immediate family and
beyond, you need to give yourself a few more years to be ready.

(9). If as a man, you're easily swayed and pressurized to do things against your wish, you are not ready for marriage.

(10). If you believe that women at best should be good in bed and kitchen affairs only, you will end up having a bitter and subdued wife;stay away.

(11). If your mind can't conceive the thought of having a more successful wife, even if it is temporary, then you have little growing up to do.

(12). If you have no confidence in your capability and your future, you have no business taking someone else with you.

(13). If as a man,you don't have a mentor or leader you follow, listen or defer to,you're not going to be able to lead your family.

(14). If you can't have wedding ceremony within a budget you can personally afford, give yourself more time. Who says you can't have 20 guests or less at your wedding? Cut your coat according to your cloth and take responsibility. As a man, you can define how small or large you want your wedding ceremony to be and be able to handle it.

(15). If you have anger problem such that you can destroy things when you are angry, get a therapist to help you in managing it. Otherwise engage God's help for the change you seek. With anger issues, you're a disaster waiting to explode.
Marriage is an investment, what you put into it is what comes out of it!
.
You Want to Add Something?
(Judith Imagoro).
Though I agree with you on few of the points you have raised, as per what we need to work on, yet, I totally disagree with you on your position that until one is ok in all the areas you have mentioned, he is not ready for marriage.

The most important thing in marriage is for each of the couple to be ready to sacrifice as much as possible, to have a peaceful and fruitful marriage. So many successful marriages started with at least, one of the couples missing many or all the points you mentioned above, but with determination, they gradually adjusted along the line until they could get along well with each other.
