Politics / Horrific Attack At Port-harcourt Rally Is A Vicious Assault On Our Democracy by okrote4real: 3:58pm On Jan 26, 2023
FCT, ABUJA
JANUARY 26, 2023
PRESS STATEMENT

*HORRIFIC ATTACK AT PORT-HARCOURT RALLY IS A VICIOUS ASSAULT ON OUR DEMOCRACY*

The violent attack at a rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Port Harcourt on Thursday, January 19, 2023 involving the use of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and rapid gunfire was despicable, and represents a new and dangerous dimension in political violence in the build up to next month’s general election. The detonation of IED and gunfire resulted in serious injuries to Party members and supporters in the immediate vicinity of the attack.

The attack, which was carried out by suspected thugs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was led by senior officials of the Port-Harcourt City Local Government Area, ostensibly, on a mission to disrupt and disperse the rally at the traditional grounds of Rumuwoji Town in Mile 1 area of Port-Harcourt under the pretext of enforcing the draconic Executive Order 21 and 22 of the Rivers State Government enacted to stifle opposition political engagements. To be clear, the Port-Harcourt rally was convened in accordance with all applicable constitutional and legal standards of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We strongly condemn this gruesome attack at the Port-Harcourt rally. It constitutes an assault on our democracy, and a clear and present threat to next month’s general election. The escalation of violence calculated to intimidate and scuttle legitimate campaign activities by opposition political parties in Rivers State is unacceptable and must stop. The perpetrators and victims of campaign violence are all Nigerians and we cannot permit or excuse anyone to inflict harm, maim or kill others on account of political partisanship. That is the direct antithesis of our democratic norms and negates the greatness of our national democratic aspiration.

We call on the Inspector General of Police to order a full, thorough and expeditious investigation of the incident. Statements credited to the Rivers State Police Command that there was no explosion at the rally do not cut the urgency and seriousness of the matter. The Police cannot casually and hastily dismiss eye-witness reports of explosion of IEDs at the rally without full and proper investigation. If such an investigation has been conducted, the Nigeria Police should do well to make the investigation report public.

This is a matter of national concern. Nigerians deserve to know and must be reassured that attending opposition campaign rallies in Rivers State is not akin to a journey of no return to the frontlines of illicit and orchestrated war. Every citizen, irrespective of partisan political affiliation, is entitled to equal protection of law. As the Chief Security Officer of the state, His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike, must do his duty to offer equal protection of the law to all citizens of the State, and work with law enforcement agencies to solve this heinous crime, prevent a recurrence and bring the perpetrators to justice.

We wish our Party members injured in the attack speedy and full recovery. We urge our members to remain calm, strong, and undeterred as they continue to turn up massively at our Party’s campaign rallies in the state.

As signatories to the Peace Pact, political parties owe themselves and the country a duty to engage in issue-based campaigns, to rein in their members, and eschew all forms of violence during the remainder of the electioneering season and beyond.

Politics / Make History : President Buhari Urges Voters In To Elect First Female Governor by okrote4real: 7:03pm On Jan 09, 2023
STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

PRESIDENT BUHARI URGES VOTERS IN ADAMAWA TO ELECT FIRST FEMALE GOVERNOR, MAKE HISTORY

President Muhammadu Buhari Monday in Yola, Adamawa State, called on voters to shun sentiments, and make history by electing the first female Governor in the country in 2023, Sen. Aisha Dahiru Ahmed-Binani, saying her track record of dedication to duty and service will improve the livelihood of citizens.

The President, who spoke at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential and Gubernatorial Flagoff of campaigns in Adamawa State, told voters that Sen. Binani had consistently worked for the welfare of the State and indigenes over many years, and entrusting her with the Office of the Governor would further strengthen her to reposition the State for greatness.

“Let me remind you of the good fortune that is awaiting your State in 2023 after returning the APC to power at the federal level and electing the party's candidate as your incoming governor.

“You have been given the opportunity to set a record in the history of Nigeria and the annals of democracy and politics in our country by electing the first ever female chief executive of a state in Nigeria. You cannot afford that such a significant opportunity would slip through your fingers.

“I am, therefore, calling on all the men, women and youth of Adamawa State, the northeast and indeed the entire country, to support the candidature of Senator Aisha Binani and ensure her victory in March, 2023,’’ he said.

President Buhari urged the electorate to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as President and Vice President in the forthcoming elections, and candidates of the APC for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly.

“I am delighted to be here today in Yola, Adamawa State, to be part of the campaign of our candidates for different offices in the country, starting from presidential, to gubernatorial, national and state assemblies. It is All Progressives Congress (APC) from top to bottom.

“APC for President! APC for Governor! APC for Senate! APC for House of Representatives! APC for Assembly Members!,’’ the President noted.

President Buhari said the APC had a vision of making Adamawa State more peaceful, progressive and prosperous.

“Your contributions in Adamawa State to our national development can be attested to by your output in agriculture, fishery, livestock, industry, manufacturing, commerce, mining, among others.

“Your achievements in the areas of education have made us proud and given us immense joy and satisfaction. Adamawa people are progressive in nature, and it is time to prove it once again.

“Our vision for Adamawa as a peaceful, progressive and prosperous state is strong and enduring. With your perseverance and determination, the All Progressives Congress (APC) will make Adamawa a model state in all areas of endeavour,’’ he stated.

The President urged youths in the state and country to pursue values that will bring honor to their families and the country, advising that Nigeria’s image could only be improved by the citizens.

“Let me now speak to the youths of our country, and Adamawa State particularly. I want you to know that you mean so much to us. Please remain loyal and patriotic citizens, learn from your elders and behave responsibly at all times.

“There can be no other place better than this country that promises so much to us and beckons us to greater prosperity.

“I want you to remain true to our ideals of decency, respect and accountability. You should bear your responsibilities seriously and acquit yourself well in all that you are called on to do.

“You should all come out and vote in the forthcoming elections, exercise your franchise responsibly and do not allow yourselves to be misled by vain sentiments and idle promises.

“Let me remind you and the entire people of Nigeria that the eyes of the world will be on you come February and March, 2023. Therefore do not give in to temptation and allow yourselves to be manipulated,’’ he added.

The President advised the youths to remain loyal to the APC by sensitizing on the gains of the party, and voting for its candidates at various levels.

“I wish specially to thank you for reposing your trust in me and giving me your support during the last two presidential elections.

“I want you to continue with this spirit and remain loyal to our party the APC. I want you to support our candidates at all levels in the state and federal elections. You can trust Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Borgu, our party's flag-bearer and presidential candidate, together with his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.

“I want you to vote for them massively, retain the party in power at the centre, and also return Adamawa to the rank of the progressives.

“I want you to wholeheartedly embrace the message of "RENEWED HOPE" on which our candidates and party are campaigning,’’ the President said.

In his remarks, the APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu called on voters to elect Asiwaju Tinubu for President, and Sen. Binani for Governor of Adamawa State.

Adamu assured the large gathering of party supporters at the Muhammadu Buhari Square that both candidates had been tested with responsibilities at various levels of governance, and would work together for the benefit of the people.

Presidential Candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Tinubu thanked the President for leading the country with integrity, and setting new standards in development projects.

"Nigeria is blessed. We have integrity in President Buhari. Whatever damage the Poverty Development Party, PDP, have done, we will replace it with joy, prosperity, happiness and employment for our people.

"We will get you engaged properly. We will pay attention to your needs. Vote Binani for governor of the state, and when we are elected, we will work together to provide good water, education, health and end killings and kidnapping,'' he said.

Binani pleaded with the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, APC stalwart, Nuhu Ribadu and member of House of Representative, Abdulrazak Namdas to join hands with her in ensuring success at the polls, and lifting the state to greater heights.

Former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, urged the electorates to vote for Asiwaju Tinubu for President, and Binani for Governor of the state, noting that Tinubu and his Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, had already set precedence of good leadership as former governors.

He said Binani would build on past achievements in the state, and correct anomalies in leadership and development, especially in placing the welfare of the people first and ensuring inclusive governance.

Politics / PDP Is A Degenerate Alarmist, Afflicted By Its Infamy by okrote4real: 2:37pm On Dec 22, 2022
ABUJA, FCT
DECEMBER 22, 2022
PRESS STATEMENT

*PDP IS A DEGENERATE ALARMIST, AFFLICTED BY ITS INFAMY*

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has continued to outdo its own record of disgraceful display of despicable desperation and despondency in the conduct of its public affairs. Utterly discombobulated by prospects of impending annihilation at the polls, the PDP has dived deeper into its murky cesspool of confusion, calumny and unmitigated irrationality. Barely Sixty-Five days to the 2023 Presidential Election, the PDP remains preoccupied with spewing gibberish and falsehoods as choice electoral strategy at a time when serious political parties are digging deep, canvassing votes and building viable electoral networks. Afflicted by its infamy, the PDP’s latest incoherent press conference built entirely on malicious lies and unimaginative conjecture only certifies the party’s irredeemable descent into the dark abyss of inglorious political history.

At a recent press conference, the PDP, alleged that our great party was plotting to scuttle the 2023 general election by sponsoring attacks on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC's) facilities, allegedly, to prevent new registrants from collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs); destroy PVCs to forestall collection by potential voters; destroy INEC's equipment and cripple it's capacity to conduct elections; and create tension across the country to "validate a narrative that elections cannot hold, then orchestrate a constitutional crisis with a view to justifying a shift of the elections and perpetuate certain APC elements in office beyond May 29, 2023." And the only basis for these dumb allegations is what decrepit PDP calls “intelligence available to our Party”.

As a responsible ruling Party that we are, the All Progressives Congress (APC) abhors all forms of violence and electoral malpractices. We stand united with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in its effort to conduct a free, transparent and fair election next year. We have and continue to, unequivocally, condemn attacks on INEC’s facilities and staff, and urge our security agencies to protect these important facilities, and to bring perpetrators of these acts to justice.

Violent attacks against INEC facilities and staff are very serious matters of national concern and security and has potential to destabilize our set electoral program on which the viability and sustainability of our nascent democracy depends. It is not a flimsy matter that anyone or political party should appropriate as material for a morbid comedy skit as the PDP chooses to do and has done quite consistently during this electoral season. A responsible political actor or party that has any credible and actionable intelligence on matters as serious as plots to destabilize our national elections would turn that information or “intelligence” over to our many law enforcement agencies for full and thorough investigation and possible arrest and prosecution of perpetrators. It is crassly irresponsible for the PDP and its officials to drown the airwaves and news wires with dubious and immature cacophony of falsehoods, phantom plots and conspiracy theories. Without a doubt, the PDP’s false alarm and baseless allegations against our great party only belies their twisted wish that next year’s election be averted as a face-saving exit strategy for what they already know would turn out to be a well-rounded electoral interment of their decadent and expired party.

PDP’s vain attempt to associate our respected and respectable Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to their imagined plot to disrupt our elections is beyond the pale. PDP has always been intimidated by the towering popularity of our Presidential Candidate who is tirelessly traversing the length and breadth of our country justifying his bid for the highest office in the land, and renewing hope of a more vibrant future for all Nigerians. It is clearly illogical and infantile to suggest, as the PDP attempts to do, that the undisputed front runner and preferred Candidate to win next year’s Presidential Election, bolstered by the profound accomplishments of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, would engage in acts or plots to scuttle an election he is eminently confident of winning. Nigerians are smarter and more discerning than the PDP believes them to be.

It bears mentioning for the umpteenth time that one of many legacies APC is bequeathing to Nigeria, is independent and credible electoral system. The new Electoral Act, the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS); the conduct of credible off-season elections in Anambra, Osun and Ekiti; adequate funding of INEC and improved capability of the security forces remain pointers to this unassailable fact.

While the PDP keeps busy milling falsehood and propaganda as preferred electoral strategy, we choose to remain undistracted, resolute and focused on serving Nigerians and soliciting their valued support ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Politics / Misrepresentation Of A Harmless Video I, Hannatu Musa Musawa Posted by okrote4real: 3:53pm On Dec 21, 2022
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2022

PRESS STATEMENT ON THE MISREPRESENTATION OF A HARMLESS VIDEO I, HANNATU MUSA MUSAWA, POSTED OF MY PRINCIPALS GIVING ALMS AND CHARITY TO A POOR AND DISABLED ELDERLY GENTLEMAN

My attention has been drawn to the dishonest, erroneous and incorrect narrative spun by unctuous, dissipated, debauched and desperate elements within the opposition to turn a perfectly innocent video I posted of a kind act I witnessed my Principals carrying out into something mendacious and devious.

As I watch the negative chronicle being spun by the opposition Svengali’s, trying to enforce a specific negative narrative on the public, it is clear that the falsehood being spread stems from the devious imagination and wicked machinations of a desperate and self combusting opposition.

I would have dismissed the musings as the rantings of an inconsequential opposition, however I am compelled to make this response because of innocent Nigerians that may be misled by such devious rhetoric.

On Monday the 19th December 2022 at approximately 4:48 pm, I watched with appreciation and approbation as my two principals, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Kashim Shetima performed an act of kindness towards a poor and disabled man who was truly in need. After watching them, I was further convinced that these were two men of precious faith that have the heart of kindness, empathy and compassion. And I believed it was a story that needed to be told.

In the Bible under Psalm (112:5-9), it is written “It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever. He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.”

Equally under Proverbs 19:17, it is taught, “One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the Lord, And He will repay him for his good deed.”

In Islam we are taught that The prophet (PBUH) says the following in a hadith: “Muslims help each other only by passing the bridge of almsgiving.”

Furthermore, in the Holy Quran (2:274) it is expressed that,” Those who in charity spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."

Almsgiving by virtue of the two holy teachings, giving charity and alms specifically to help the poor becomes a core tenant for Muslims and Christian to abide by.

A few days ago I attended a gathering with the Presidential candidate of the APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shetima where they had a robust engagement with persons with disability. During the event, our principals had the opportunity to interact with a poor and disabled elderly gentleman. Borne purely out of compassion, my principals spoke to this gentleman, listened to him and performed the tenant of charity and alms giving towards him.

As I watched this tender moment between the three men, I wanted to capture it and show the world the empathy that organically runs through the veins of my principals, and that raw spirit of charity that they both imbibe.

I posted the video, not out of mistake, but with the intention of telling the compassionate story of the empathetic leadership that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, supported by Alhaji Kashim Shetima will surely give to Nigeria after they emerge victorious in the upcoming election, by the grace of The Almighty.

Having the honor of traversing the country with my two principals during this campaign, has given me the peace of mind that Nigeria will be in good hands under their leadership. This is not only because they come with the capacity, character, commitment, clout, courage, vision, and honesty of purpose to identify the most troubling challenges our beautiful nation faces and find lasing solutions to them but also because they both carry that element of empathy and compassion needed to understand the needs of Nigerians and being aware of our feelings and thoughts.

That 2 minute video clip was a visual reflection of my principals compassion towards the needy.

Rather than commend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Kashim Shetima, for a kind act towards a man that was clearly in need, the opposition have regrettably decided to put a negative spin on a story of good will and sheer kindness.

While it is unfortunate that the opposition refuses to contain the campaign to an issue-based campaign, which focusses on the action plan, manifestos and programs they have for Nigerians, it is clear that they are clutching and grasping at straws and adopting unusual and extreme methods because their ideas have failed even before they have started.

With the trajectory of the upcoming election showing that the pendulum is swinging to the benefit of an APC victory, there is no question that the opposition is behaving like the proverbial “drowning man” determined to pull others down with them. And while there is hardly any purpose in joining issues with a losing opposition, it is important to highlight their diversionary rhetoric and tactics.

If there is any lesson to be learnt from the magniloquence attached to the short clip I took and wholeheartedly stand by, is the manipulative devices and palette of tools the opposition is adopting, out of desperation, in order to sell a false narrative to the public. From this one incident, it is now imperative for Nigerians to interrogate every single ‘out of context’ video clip and pieces of information, or rather, propaganda, the opposition comes out with.

Even though I do understand the despondency and misery of the PDP, who have been hit worse than the Titanic racing towards the iceberg with their loss of 5 ‘brightly shining’ governors and the anguish and despair of the Labour party who have a ‘Constitutional Impossibility’ of winning the next election based on Section 134 of The Constitution, it would be advisable for them to remain on the issues while they try to sort out their inhouse complications. If they concentrate on the task ahead, they might have a smidgen of hope of gaining a tiny bit of ground, all though it is unlikely.

I would honestly like to urge the opposition to focus on emphasizing their own policy proposals or highlighting their candidate’s attributes rather than soiling the atmosphere with lies, negative campaigning, ‘out of context’ spins, character assassinations, pejorative language and shameful insinuate rumors.

Negative campaigning will not help the opposition to win votes; Only Nigerians can. And I have thorough confidence that, come February 25th 2023, Nigerians will exercise their constitutional right and resoundingly vote for the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 17th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I also urge Nigerians to disregard any fabrication attached to my video of an act of kindness and compassion, and rather concentrate on collectively working to move our nation forward by making the upcoming voting exercise the freest and fairest elections Nigerian will ever have.

As for me, I will not be distracted or blackmailed by the obstinate desperation of the opposition and will stand strong and remain focused as we move ‘onward and upward.’ And neither will APC, every member of our team, nor our principals.

In both the Christian and Muslim faiths, ‘the bridge that ensures the order and security in the social life of human beings is almsgiving and mutual assistance.’ That bridge has already been crossed by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is already gearing to, perhaps, become the best leader Nigeria will ever have! Under his Presidency we will be ‘one nation bound in freedom, peace and unity’… “You heard it hear first!”

May The Almighty Bless, Guide and Protect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Kashim Shetima and they coast to victory.

Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. God Bless us all.

I thank you.

'I Won't Allow Anybody To Tarnish My Company's Reputation–Wilbeko Global Resources CEO

Following an allegation of cheating against Wilson Multimedia Technology Concepts Ltd. and Wilbeko Global Resources Ltd. and their owners, by one Olusola Babalola and Yusuf Adebayo alleging that they loaned Wilson Multimedia Technology Concepts Ltd. and Wilbeko Global Resources Ltd. and their owners money, the Chief executive officer (CEO),
Mr Wilson Unachukwu has frowned against Mr Olusola Babalola for peddling false rumours against his person and his company on the internet.

According to him, he knew both parties when he was abroad and on his return he brought in some products and Chief Adebayo saw it and loved it. He was interested in the products and transactions were made.

He said, these transactions didn't happen with his account as the said partners worked directly with his international clients.

He explained what really transpired.

"When the transaction commenced, he agreed to raise the money and never told me Olusola was the real own of the money. From nowhere, he brought in Sola. We were doing things together to make profit as businessmen.

"Yusuf was working on the financial aspect with my company. When the money came in, they boycotted my company and transfered the money directly to my foreign partners and were doing the business themselves.

"When my foreign partners came into Nigeria we had a meeting with them at Tulip hotel Lagos. They paid them the money . No money paid into my account.

"We did a business, I own the factory and the products. They brought the money for the transaction.Which led us to Ikechukwu Ogbe who said he wants to help us. After pushing the documents through FIRS, Ikechukwu Ogbe took almost all the money.

"After all said and done, he escaped and we couldn't locate him. Due to the pressure from Sola, I pushed for him to be found and arrested. He's in the custody of the police as I speak.

"I was just surfing the net and found out that Olusola Babalola has been tarnishing the my name and that my company online. I now wonder where he wants me to get money to pay him with what he has done, because most of my investors are pulling out from me. Business isn't moving like before since he started writing negative things about me, something that isn't true.

"The culprit is already in police net. and I know it will be settled. So where did he want me to get money to pay him if he wants to tarnish my image, something he knows I'm not at fault," he asked.

He promised to see to the end of the issue while adding that Ikechukwu Ogbe will never go unpunished until he vomits all h has stollen.

Crime / NUJ President, Isiguzo Moves To Bribe IGP Over Certificate Forgery∆∆ by okrote4real: 3:33pm On Dec 07, 2022
BY NEHEMIAH USMAN:

In an apparent move to avert the ongoing Police investigation over his alleged certificate forgery, the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Mr. Chris Isiguzo has initiated an award ceremony for the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.

According to observers, the award ceremony, which is slated for Thursday, 8th December, 2022 in Lagos, is a plot by the NUJ President to avert the ongoing certificate forgery investigation by the Police authority.

Already, a group of registered Journalists under the umbrella body of "Integrity Group Nigeria Union of Journalists" have written the IGP urging him to reject what they called tainted award.

The letter dated 30th November,2022 was signed by Mustapha Saye, Mohammed Saidu and Abubakar Ahmed urged the IGP not to get involved in a ploy to taint his integrity.

The letter reads: "we are registered members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) and compelled to write you this letter.

"We are reliably informed that the National President of the NUJ, Chris Isiguzo, has concluded plans to give you an award this December.

"We are, however, compelled to inform you that, the said Chris Isiguzo has undergone investigation, ordered by your humble self, as a result of a petition sent to your office on the 4th of October, 2021, written by one of our senior and respected colleague, in the person of Akindele Olawumi Orimolade.

"The petition borders on allegations of certificate forgery of the Polytechnic, Isiguzo claimed to have attended; and a Court Affidavit on four names Chris Isiguzo is claiming.

"Sir, you may wish to call for the outcome of the investigation which, to our knowledge, has been concluded about three months ago but action is yet to be taken on it.

"We view the attempt by Chris Isiguzo to systematically give you an award, as a way of giving you a Greek gift coated in that texture.

"We, humbly wish to appeal to you to decline the award because we equally see it as a bribe!

"Sir, still on the petition, you acted immediately by directing the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force CID, to investigate the petition

"Team J at the FIB started investigation in November 2021.

"In January, 2022, Enugu state judiciary wrote to FIB confirming that Isiguzo's affidavit was forged.

"On 28th February, 2022, the Registrar of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra state where Isiguzo claimed to have attended, was invited to the FIB (after Investigators visited the school) and also confirmed that Isiguzo's certificates were forged.

"From our findings as journalists, a Forensic test conducted by the investigating team at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission laboratory, revealed that a Deputy Registrar in the school was responsible for the forged Ordinary Diploma; and even a HND certificate, issued to Isiguzo.

"The Deputy Registrar was also invited to FIB to make a statement under caution three months ago of which she appeared about a month ago.

"IGP Sir, we decided not to make the investigation a media issue in order to allow the officers involved to concentrate on their work, even though we are disturbed that by now, action must have been taken because of all the glaring evidences with the Police, but yet to be taken.

"Although we cannot categorically say that Mr. Isiguzo compromised the officers after all the relevant evidence before the Police, but it may interest the IGP to know that Mr. Isiguzo tried to compromise the petitioner; and he indeed paid eight million naira ( N8m) into the petitioners salary account through the petitioner's forme Publisher. This issue was also presented before the investigators at the FIB.

"Sir, on the award, we have keenly followed your activities not only as the IGP but also on your personal life. We came to understand that you are one that abhors lies , deceit and dishonesty.

"You have been able to maintain and establish an unblemished career as a Police Officer, culminating into your becoming the IGP.

"In this respect, we want to respectfully request for two things; reject the tainted award; and kindly follow-up on the investigation you ordered one year ago.

"We are only seeking for Justice and we are optimistic that once you know the outcome of the investigation you would ensure that Justice is achieved through the Courts.

"The President of the NUJ should not be above the law. There was a time when a Speaker of the House of Representatives was prosecuted because of certificate forgery.

"Many influential personalities had, at one time or the other faced similar treatments because of certificate forgery.

"This should not be an isolated case.

"A petition was written to the Police because of our strong believe that ONLY the Police can unravel the mystery, as Isiguzo has been able to block all attempts to bring him to book.

"On this we believe! Please accept the assurances of our highest regards.

THE REAL MATTER!

Mr. Akindele Orimolade, a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) had in a petition through his lawyer Mr Obinna Okeke,Esq. dated 4th day of October 2021 called on the Inspector General of Police(IGP), Usman Alkali Baba to investigate the National President of NUJ, Chris Isiguzo over certificate forgery.

The IGP sent the petition to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) for discreet investigation.

The case, according to police sources was assigned to Team J of the Force Investigation Bureau (FIB) in November 2021.

The investigating team wrote series of letters to the Federal Polytechnic Oko where Isiguzo claimed to have graduated with a Higher National Diploma certificate in June 1998 and a Ordinary National Diploma in Mass Communication in December 1998,the Enugu state judiciary where he claimed to have sworn to an affidavit, Winners Communication where he said he started his journalism work and This Day newspaper where he is currently one of the editors.

In January,2022, Enugu state judiciary wrote the investigating team at the FIB that after a painstaking investigation in it's administration and accounts departments it was clear that the affidavit which he wanted to use to consolidate his four aliases ( Mr. Chris Isiguzo,Ikechukwu C, Isinguzoro Ikechukwu C, Isinguzoro Ikechukwu Christopher and Isiguzo Christopher Chuks) was forged and did not emanate from Enugu state judiciary.

On February 28,this year, the Registrar of Federal Polytechnic Oko and a gentleman from the legal department of the school visited the Area 10 office of FBI with a letter stating clearly that Isiguzo did not attend the school and could therefore not have its certificates adding that whatever he is having was forged!

This Day newspaper wrote the FIB that fire gutted its office some years ago and destroyed documents including Isiguzo's certificates. They regretted they could not help the police in its investigation.
It was after the duo got back to Oko that Isiguzo knew he was under investigation. He stormed the FIB in early March after a serving governor and a serving senator both from the South East geopolitical zone had watered the ground for him. It was a fiasco! He arrived the building formerly used as Force Headquarters with the toga of a Chief, National President of NUJ but left as a criminal on life support.

According to a source close to the investigators, Isiguzo who came in company of somebody he introduced as NUJ consultant "was sweating from the anus when the investigators were through with him.

He was alleged to have gone back to the Jahi National Headquarters of the Union devastated. According to sources close to the NUJ headquarters, he ordered a female staff to go and withdraw N500,000 which was taken to a female policeman. From that day, it was naira rain for the policemen. His plea was that they should not conclude investigation till he would finish his second term in office. This allegation has ,however not been independently confirmed.

However, Orimolade and his lawyer also mounted pressure on the police to do the needful. Grudgingly, the concluded investigation and wrote the final report on October, this year and according to a source close to the investigators, the report is to be "KIV" - keep in view until Jesus comes.

Worried by the development, Orimolade through his lawyer wrote a reminder to the police boss dated 1st December,2022.

Part of the two - page letter which was acknowledged at the ground floor registry of the Force Headquarters reads;
" On 4th day of October,2021, we wrote a petition to your good office(s) in respect of the above subject matter. The said petition was assigned to "Team J" of the Force Investigation Department (FCID) to investigate.

"The above - mentioned team carried out a very marvellous, diligent, painstaking and professional investigation activity in respect of the said petition. However, our client became apprehensive since the suspect (Mr. Chris Isiguzo) above mentioned has gone to make statement, started boasting to some of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) that this particular petition will die like every other petition in the past that was written against him to other crime and anti - corruption agencies in the past that all he needs is time to kill this petition because our client and other members of the NUJ, knows his stock in trade
"Sir, this is a sensitive and high - profile case which will help in boosting your administration's image which is known for having zero tolerance, for corruption, crime and criminality", Mr. Okeke Esq. stressed.

But Isiguzo is always an untouchable and a master of the game. Four years ago when the Egalitarian Mission Africa wrote a petition dated 13th November,2018 to the Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices &Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and another " reminder and request for an update dated 20th of June 2019, Isiguzo moved in like a tsunami and up till tomorrow, the executive brief written on the matter is gathering dust.

In the instant investigation, Isiguzo did some research on the IGP and concluded that money alone may not achieve the desired goal. He learnt the IGP loves awards and national Honours.

To get the IGP to put his case file on the "KIV" shelve permanently, Isiguzo has hurriedly packaged an award ceremony for the IGP in Lagos for next week. His goons are said to be on ground to ensure only journalists that are friends with him have access to the venue of the event.

Religion / Kumuyi Launches ‘the Kings Circle’, ‘youth Aflame’ Series by okrote4real: 1:53pm On Nov 28, 2022
...TKC broadcast to debut 18th December 2022

…encourages youth on achieving dreams, aspirations

…urges young people to shun bad influence

The Convener, Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK, the General Superintendent, GS, Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor William Kumuyi , Saturday, launched two global youth based television programmes, The King’s Circle, TKC, and The Youth Aflame.

The launch was done during the November edition of Impact Academy with theme ‘Empowered for Excellence’ in Yola, Adamawa State.

The two series are being launched by Kumuyi on the heels of his overarching vision to groom and help young people find God’s given purpose for their lives.

The King’s Circle (TKC) is a community-centered initiative for young people, and Jesus is the central point and hero of this circle. This community as divinely convened by Dr. Kumuyi will share daily short video content for the global TKC community, and TKC will debut on December 18, 2022 across international television stations in Africa, Europe United States of America, and others.

The Youth Aflame Series as designed and convened by Dr. William Kumuyi is a weeklong youth-led event that culminates in a Global Sunday revival conference (Youth Aflame).

This series is critical for youth inclusion, positive turnaround, and overall growth of teenagers, campus students, and young adults/professionals.

Youths Aflame Series will be a week long Youth-led event starting from January 2-8, 2023, as the Convener wants to start the New Year with youths globally due to his overwhelming love for them, which he has already started mentoring and preparing them for the next generation, hence his launch of the first Youth Aflame Series, which is a revival-led programme, as the televangelist ministrations will be concentrating and centred on Revival within the period of the series.

Interestingly, the GCK Convener, Pastor Kumuyi will partner with all Christian associations worldwide to ensure that throughout the eight days, young people will lead programmes, and others.

During the launch, he (Kumuyi) while speaking on the topic ‘A Unique Great Privilege for Excellence’ and divided the message into three: Focused Teenagers Learning to Lean Towards Excellence; Foremost Students Lifted Unto the Ladder of Excellence; and Fortified Young Adults Living and Learning Towards Excellence, said young people are destined to be excellent in what they aspire to become if they remain focused to achieve their aspiration.

He said: “Sons and daughters if we are going to do anything and run the race of life we have to look at one direction.

"Show me a runner, an athlete and he is running and looking here and there and he is not focused on the goal how can he make it? Show me a footballer who is on the field and he is not looking at the goalpost and that is the direction he ought to go, and therefore, he might be playing but dribble it here and there, wherever he is playing and doing he is focused on the goalpost because he wants to score a goal, the same thing in life if we are going to score and make anything in life as young people and teenagers we are focused and we are learning to lean towards excellence.”

He said young people should not be jolted by the challenges they face, but he encouraged them to have a focused and fixed heart on their goal day at a time, study at a time, and said it is imperative to spend quality time on what they are doing.

He added that youth should not be afraid of some subjects in their academic work usually described as difficult, but said they should declare ‘I can conquer this subject’ through deliberate passion and determination.

However, he called on young people to shun bad influence by surrendering their lives to God and live a holy life acceptable by God, and that will open the doors of God’s blessing upon their lives.

He also admonished them on some important aspects of their lives that are not for sale which include ability, integrity, vision, courage, strength, wisdom, personality, conviction, confidence, passion, mission, and others.

Travel / Greek Embassy Has Never Denied Genuine Nigerians Visas–jnd Tells CRA by okrote4real: 8:17pm On Nov 26, 2022
Following a report making rounds that a coalition of 148 civil society organisations under the auspices of Citizen Right Advocate (CRA) called for the Ambassador of Greece to Nigeria, Ioannis Plotas to investigate the atrocities committed at the Consular section of the embassy. Another group known as Justice for Nigerians in Diaspora (JND) has countered the allegations calling it a plan by some irresponsible applicants whose applications were rejected to tarnish the image of the embassy and the consulate section of the embassy.

According to the representatives of the group, Comrade Thompson Collins Ekundayo, he categorically stated that the embassy has never denied genuine applicants visas of any category.

Ekundayo called on some faceless groups that are being used to cause disaffection in the country to desist from tarnishing the country's image within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
He said:

"The Embassy has always facilitated visas for genuine Nigerians, either applying for business, tourist, student or working visas. There are people who have always expressed the good will of the Greek Ambassador as the most sincere and accommodative Diplomat amongst all his colleagues in Nigeria.

"It is absolutely wrong to confuse rejection or denial for certain people who do not fulfil the prerequisites for visas issuance. However, he equally advised the Ambassador to pay special attention on his lone consular officer, who sometimes overreact as a result of workload, which I'm sure the Ambassador may not be aware of." He stated.

He also advised applicants to ensure that they fulfill every demand by the embassy to enable them secure their Visas without hiccups nor disappointment.

In a related development, the Head of Mission, International Peace Commission, IPC-Nigeria, Dr Hussaini Coomassie when contacted, has said that the aggrieved parties should shield their swords and follow due process in tackling issues like this, foreign Embassies have their rules too and they can deny you Visas without explanation, its stated clearly that fulfilling all conditions does not guarantee visa issuance, at the same time even where a person obtains visas does not guarantee that person entry into their countries. Take note that all Diplomats of various embassies followed due process in obtaining Nigerian visas in their various countries. While some business men or tourists usually get refusals at our embassies abroad too. He advised that it will not be out of place for Ambassador to please INVESTIGATE the allegations against his head of consul in order to find remedy and avoid future occurenes. Ambassador Plotas is a kind hearted Diplomat who loves Nigeria with passion but the problem is the bad eggs amongst us whose intentions are to go and never to return, sometimes seek for asylum for reasons best known to them. He said the embassy is reputable for issuing visas to well-meaning Nigerians even more than most of the Schengen states.

Dr Coomassie promised to look into the issue diplomatically but insists Nigerians must behave well and be good Ambassadors of their country wherever they may find themselves, he added.

Politics / Apc National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu Was Grossly Misquoted by okrote4real: 4:29pm On Nov 24, 2022
ABUJA, FCT
24TH NOVEMBER, 2022
PRESS STATEMENT

*APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, ABDULLAHI ADAMU WAS GROSSLY MISQUOTED ON DEPLOYMENT OF BVAS, ELECTRONIC-TRANSMISSION OF RESULTS*

A section of the media is awash with comments credited to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu on the deployment of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and the Results Viewing Portal (IReV), otherwise known as electronic transmission of election results, for the 2023 general elections.

Media reports that Chairman Adamu kicked against INEC’s decision to deploy BVAS and electronic transmission of results is patently false, and constitutes an unfair misrepresentation of the National Chairman’s comments.

At a meeting with the Commonwealth pre-election delegation, yesterday, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in response to a question regarding the country’s preparations for next year’s election, the National Chairman noted that while preparations were in top gear, he tasked INEC to take effective steps to bridge any gaps that may be created by electricity and telecommunications network challenges in certain outlying voting districts in the country in order to ensure a smooth and successful deployment of BVAS and other technologies to ensure free and transparent elections.

To be clear, Chairman Adamu did not kick against the deployment of BVAS or electronic transmission of results as erroneously reported by sections of the media.

The APC administration of President Muhammadu Buhari midwifed the successful reform of the Electoral Act, the introduction of (BVAS) among other technological innovation, and has superintended the conduct of credible, free, fair and transparent elections in Edo, Anambra, Ekiti and Osun States.

Our Party and Government remain committed to the highest levels of electoral transparency and democratic consolidation in our country.

Nairaland / General / CUPP Exposes More Shocking Details Of Voters Register Fraud, Hails INEC by okrote4real: 2:41pm On Nov 21, 2022
*Says those behind fake registrations plotting to compromise INEC BVAS

The coalition of opposition political parties, CUPP, has unveiled further troubling details in the voters’ register.

CUPP spokesperson Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere made the disclosure while addressing a world press conference on Monday.

This is coming shortly after its expose on Imo that showed fake registrations in the voters’ register and pointedly identified those behind the compromise the register.

Ugochinyere went further to commend the INEC Chairman for his swift action in the publication and cleaning up the register and the announcement that so far, over 2.7 million fake registrations have been weeded off the register.

While noting that this action from INEC will harm the plan of those behind the fake registrations that were done to undermine a credible electoral process, he, however, released evidence that there are more fake registrations by way of underage voters, multiple registrations with one identity, registration of dead or foreign persons, particularly by the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu.

CUPP then called on INEC and the Security Agencies to ensure that the culprits behind the fake registrations were arrested and prosecuted.

He said they not only plot to taint the voters’ register but also want to stop the use of BVAS in the February elections by planning the removal of the INEC chairman on trumped-up charges for refusing to do their bidding.

CUPP thus warns well-meaning Nigerians the courts and security agencies to resist this plot from those who only want to undermine the proposed credible elections by arresting and removing the INEC chair on fraudulent claims.

“It is for this purpose that the Nigerian opposition and indeed all Nigerian citizens of goodwill have resolved that we shall resist and reject any form of arrest of the INEC Chairman when he returns to the country. We shall also vehemently resist and reject every form of resignation from office by the INEC Chairman either forced or otherwise or any other form or method of removal from office as the Omuma Magic initiators now speak more boastfully and assuredly than before.

Crime / Security Forces Neutralize Notorious Bandit Commander ‘dogo Maikasuwa’ by okrote4real: 5:41pm On Nov 11, 2022
KDSG Security Update: Friday 11th November 2022

Security Forces Neutralize Notorious Bandit Commander ‘Dogo Maikasuwa’

After an era of terrorizing citizens and evading security forces, the Kaduna State Government can authoritatively report that the notorious bandit commander known as ‘Dogo Maikasuwa’ has met his end.

The development was made known in an operational feedback from security agencies. A blurred photograph of the neutralized bandit leader is attached with this statement.

Painstaking investigations revealed atrocities he carried out with impunity in hard-to-reach locations.

Dogo Maikasuwa, also known as ‘Dogo Maimillion' led series of attacks and kidnappings of citizens plying the Kaduna-Kachia Road, and in communities within Chikun and Kajuru LGAs. He was one of the deadliest bandits leading other elements in terrorizing citizens of these general areas.

According to human intelligence sources, he was always dressed in green camouflage military fatigues and wielding an AK47 rifle. Such was his appearance during the duel with security forces which ultimately consumed him.

It was also gleaned that he led his bandits to engage in operations with cruelty, often killing kidnapped victims when ransoms were delayed or considered meager.

In his final stand, the notorious bandit in the company of his foot soldiers ran into an ambush laid by operatives in a forest in the Gengere-Kaso general area, around the Chikun and Kajuru boundaries.

The security forces after the fierce battle successfully neutralized the bandit leader and recovered one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, five rounds of ammunition, two motorcycles and one set of camouflage military fatigues.

The other bandits escaped with gun wounds. It was further gathered that one of them died from injuries sustained in the fierce battle, with his remains carried away by other fleeing elements.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, received the feedback with gratitude and commended the personnel for their bravery in the fierce battle against the bandits.

Signed

Politics / APC Integrity Movement Urges Support For Flood Victims by okrote4real: 1:03am On Oct 26, 2022
The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Integrity Movement (ANIM) For Asiwaju/Shettima 2023, on Tuesday called for concerted efforts to support victims of flood disaster across the country.

The ANIM made the appeal in a statement signed by Abubakar Sa'adu Fakai, its
National Leader.

ANIM is a political support group made up of past political office holders, including past APC NEC members and some serving zonal Leaders of the party.

''We wish to appeal to Nigerians, governments at all levels, corporate organisations, as well as spirited individuals, to lend a helping hand to victims of the current devastating floods in Kogi State and some parts of the country,'' Fakai said.

According to him, It is only through collective action and commitment to each other's co-existence that the country willbe able to surmount every challenge it is confronted with.

''Times like these come to test our resolve as a people, person and what better ways than to be there for each other.

''The ANIM feels it is a duty we owe ourselves as citizens to give all we can in support of those affected by this disaster.

''We therefore solicit for support for our brothers and sisters in these difficult times,,'' ANIM said in the statement.

It expressed hope that Nigerians' humanity as a people will take the lead in overcoming any situation.

ANIM, however, warns of politicisation of the issue as it observed that some people were using the unfortunate incidents to score cheap political goals.

''Natural disasters are not peculiar to Nigeria alone.

''So let us guide against unnecessary utterances that seek to tear our very fabric of existence.

''Instead, let us strive to be patriots of our dear country by promoting those values that promote and unite us as one indivisible people.

''We only pray and hope that even in the midst of challenges such as disasters and insecurity, we will stand firm with each other; only then can we be victorious,'' Fakai said.

Politics / Aspiring PDP Lawmaker In Edo Risks Jail Term by okrote4real: 12:07pm On Oct 23, 2022
An Edo PDP House of Assembly Aspirant, Izirin Ohioze Elakhe is in imminent danger of a Jail term.

An aspirant who sought to represent Owan West Constituency in the just concluded PDP Primaries for the Edo State House of Assembly, Izirin Ohioze Elakhe, is in imminent risk of going to jail as a consequence of being in contempt of a judgment of court.

Information available to us indicates that a Lagos State High Court, presided over by Justice A. M. Nicol Clay, had, in a petition instituted by Ms Ndidi Iyamu for the dissolution of the marriage between her and the Edo politician, with suit number ID/492WD/2013, dissolved the marriage on the ground that it had broken down irretrievably based on the petitioner’s testimony of domestic violence and drug abuse.

Sole custody of the only child was awarded to Ms Iyamu with the politician granted reasonable access to the child. The dissolution order became absolute on the 3rd of March, 2019.

It is on record that Mr Elakhe participated in the trial and was duly represented by counsel.
Reliable sources informed us that trouble started in October, 2021, when Ms Iyamu, in a bid to give a balanced childhood to the child who has been in her custody since birth, allowed the boy, who is 11 years of age, to spend the midterm break with his father in Abuja.

Events took a turn for the worse when Mr Elakhe refused to relinquish Master Alec to his mother when the one week mid term break was over.

The man rebuffed every entreaty, including from official quarters like FIDA and the Nigerian Police, relying on the strength of his relationship with a former Inspector-General of Police who he calls Uncle to frustrate every effort to rein him in and restore custody to the woman.

He reportedly registered the boy in a school in the Kuje part of Abuja, and has since then barred the mother from seeing or speaking with her son.

When contacted, Ms Iyamu bemoaned the level of lawlessness her ex husband had exhibited in the matter, insisting that he was bent on frustrating her efforts to reclaim her son while his Elder brother, a claimed pastor, entreated her to accept the abduction of her child in good faith .

According to her, Mr Elakhe had remarried even before the judgment dissolving their own marriage in 2018, and wondered why a stranger would be in custody of her only child, while depriving her of the mother-son bond which she has vehemently refused to monetise.

She was emphatic that she would not give up her son and it was pure wickedness for Mr. Elakhe, who now relies on his political affiliations as back up, to have taken her son as payback for refusing to remain in an abusive marriage in 2013.

She is determined to take steps to commence contempt proceedings against her ex husband for willfully frustrating the clear orders of the 2018 Judgment by forcefully keeping Alec in his custody, contrary to the judgment.

Speaking on the matter, Aja N. Aja, a lawyer, stated that the judgment of the court granting custody to the petitioner was a valid and subsisting judgment of a competent court of law.

He was of the view that Mr Elakhe risked serving time in jail if his ex wife escalated the matter by serving on him relevant court processes and advised the man to release the child to the mother as his actions amounts to a flagrant disregard of law and an abrogation of the child’s rights.

Efforts to speak with Mr Elakhe were not successful as the phone line provided was not connecting.

Groups Gives FG 14 -Days Ultimatum To Withdrawal National Honours From Teni,Tuface Burna Boy, Ezra Others

Comrade Olumuyiwa Onlede,
Executive Director, Citizens Awareness Against Corruption and Social Vises Initiative CAACASVI has urged the Federal Government to review some of its honours award on some personalities.

The CAACASVI made this known in a letter to Sen. George Akume
Honourable Minister,
Federal Ministry of Special Duties &
Inter- Governmental Affairs on Friday in Abuja.

The letter which was also copied to President Muhammad Buhari was titled"
APPRAISAL AND DEMAND ON 2022 NATIONAL HONOURS AWARD".

The Executive Director stated in the letter that a rigorous review of the Honours award be carried out in line with extant rule governing the National Merit Award.

According to the group the outcome of the review must lead to stripping some of the awardees of their award, e.g Teni, Tuface Idibia, Burma Boy and Ezra Olubi, e.t.c.

The request is not targeted towards any one in particular but towards attitudes that does not portray them as deserving such award.

" Honourable Minister Sir, we hereby request that you initiate the process of this review within fourteen (14) days, in order to right the wrong and to serve as deterrent and corrective measure to any Nigeria that has the opportunity of meeting the president to know that what he represent is bigger that any one no matter their reservation".

This fight can not be left unfought, so therefore if after the 14 days ultimatum nothing is done we will explore all constitutional options including peaceful demonstration at you office to press home our demand.

Your Excellency it is with greatest honour that we write this letter to you as the supervising minister overseeing the Nigerian National Merit Award, organisers of the national honours award.

Sir, our observation about the just concluded award ceremony is as that of other patriotic Nigerians who believe in the country and the leadership capacity to move the nation to her promise land no matter the challenges being faced at the moment.

Just like every other objective opinion leaders, you will agree with us that the different scenarios that played out during the award ceremony is a negative verdict on the organisers of the event, from selection of awardees to presentation.

Less we forget, the National Merit award was instituted to recognise and honour deserving Nigerians for their outstanding feats in their various fields and endeavours that has turn around to bring repute to the name, image and integrity of the country be it at home or in the Diaspora.

As such those to be considered for the award must be people with impeccable character over the years.

In as much as we recognise the merit in most of the awardees, we are yet to come to term with how most awardees got their names into the list, for example one Ezra Olubi whose look from his lips and finger nails did not go down well with the President that presented him with the award, the President’s reaction was a testimony.

We also believe the merit award should be for those that knows the value, yet to our amazement most of the awardees merely sent representatives to receive the award on their behalf on flimsy excuses of having another engagement even when they must have been notified for a long time.

This is an action that we believe shows how unpatriotic some of them can be and how easily they can insubordinate Nigeria for other things.

The question is, had the president delegated one of his aides to represent him at the event, what will be the reaction of opinion leaders and the pulse in the society.

We can not go on without referring to the saddest talking point of the event where Teni a musician and awardees utterly embarrassed the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces who painstakingly stood for over four hours to present the award to the recipients.

Again what instinct and what survey gave the organisers the conviction that Teni is on the merit side of receiving an award.

Again the President’s look and reaction to her attitude speaks volume.

Your Excellency sir, as a former chief executive of a state if you delegate a commissioner to organise an event like this in your state and it turns out the way of the 2022 merit award, what appraisal will you give to the commissioner.

Sir, we like to let you know that the event did not go down well with patriotic Nigerians and as such the need to make the following demands to forestall future occurrence.

I hope the addition of this restaurant will further add to the social scene of Abuja.

"India and Nigeria relations started 2years before her independence. Since the opening of our High Commission, our primary focus is to have shared goals and shared prosperities. In that direction, we are involving intensive capacity building for Nigerians.

"Thousands have studied in India whether it was for long term courses or short term courses. The other thing is that we have more than 130 Indian companies with their home based in Nigeria, and more than 50,000 indians are here working in those companies, and most importantly, these Indian companies have invested over $19.3billion dollars in Nigeria. Lots of Nigerians are working in these companies which is a very good way to develop people to people contact.

"So these multicultural aspect is what our political leadership have cherished and would want to continue strengthening. We are working towards having Bollywood and Nollywood coming together through cultural exchange programmes. We are working on many Nigerians sending their troops to Indian while ours come over here. "And I, as the Bangladeshi High Commissioner, having Bilateral relations with India which has been cemented by frequent bilateral visits, the heads of the government and heads of the states that has created a wonderful platform. You can see that indians are wonderful community here. There are lots of take out from this communality, they are united with innovative ideas in terms of business and trade, not only with Nigeria but also opening up Nigeria with South Asia as well.

"We opened our high commission in 2016, our community is not well developed my hope is that the diaspora community would build up the cross-cultural tours and fusion and the magic that would improve the chemistry of the bilateral relations. Properties / Fraud: Beauty Queens Tackle BSTAN Group Boss, Promise To Disrupt October Fair by okrote4real: 10:09am On Sep 12, 2022
This year's edition of the BSTAN House Fair scheduled to hold in October 2022 is facing imminent disruption by angry Queens over the blatant refusal of the organisers to pay winners of last year's fair.

The aggrieved beauty Queens who specifically called out the founder and CEO of BSTAN Group, organisers of BSTAN House Fair, Dr Becky Olubukola, accused her of refusing to pay them their monies as well as withholding job opportunities promised them in their terms of engagement and forms bought.

According to the Queens, after participating in the event and various categories of winners emerging, the organisers have, till date, reneged on their contractual obligations even rebuffed every attempt at meeting them.

In a briefing to KAKAAKI REPORTERS, one of the queens, Mary Obadofin said "After the show, we were promised on a set date to come collect our winnings but till date, nothing has been done. Series of meetings have been held with Representatives of the organisation and unfulfilled promises continue to be made till date.

"In the month of July 2021 , I received a call from a friend to inform me of the BSTAN National House Fair event to showcase their various houses, lands and promote the brand further. She told me that they are also organising a beauty pageant for beautiful ladies and there are prizes to be won.

"I was reluctant at first but because of the confidence I have in the person as a woman and mother, I decided to register with N5,500 which she was the person I even asked to collect my receipt due to my work. A month later I was asked to come to BSTAN Homes for audition which I did.

"I went there with friends and after the screening and answering most of the questions, I made it through as contestant number 1 and I was given a topic to go work on as my project to present in camp before the event proper. The title of my project was "The Importance Of A Girl Child In The Society."

"A booklet of Ticket was also handed to me to sell to friend that will come and support me on the day of the event, each ticket is N10,000 and I have 10 tickets in the booklet which is N500,000. I sold N120,000 from tickets and none of the people I sold the tickets to used it, because their entrance was open to everyone, in other words, we were fooled.

"We were asked to pay N30,000 each as camp fee and resume on October 5, 2021 to prepare us for the event proper. At camp we went through vigorous dancing steps, catwalk and exercise just to bring colour to the event.

"On Saturday October 9, 2021 which was the grand finale I was pronounced 2nd runner up with certificate, sash and crown presented to me and my prize for the 3rd place was supposed to be N250,000 cash prize, an Ambassadorial Deal and Employment as part of the agreement before registration.

"But as I speak, I am yet to receive any of the prizes. I and the other winners (Winner and 1st runner up) decided to write them and remind them of the agreement and our prize," she stated.

Another of the disenfranchised Queen who bared it all to KAKAAKI REPORTERS, Marie Kent, also narrated her tale of woes with BSTAN Group.

Her words: "On the October 9, 2021, a beauty pageant was held and hosted by a housing company named BSTAN which had 12 beauty queens contesting to win the grand prize of N500,000 a brand new car, a land, a Job at the company and an ambassadorial deal.

"After the pageant, I, Marie Kent emerged the winner and was given my award certificate on stage and my cheque and the car key of the car I won. The event had the likes of The OONI of Ife, actors and actresses , our friends and family were also there to witness the event.

"After the event, the CEO of Bstan homes, Dr Becky Olubukola spoke to us and promised our prizes would be given to us after a week. Unfortunately, this is already getting to a year now and nothing has been given, not even the job or ambassadorial deal.

"We were invited to the office after sending a letter, requesting for our prizes. We were told by the company’s secretary that the company isn’t responsible for the pageant and Dr Becky isn’t the one who is meant to give us our prizes. This was fraudulently stated while we all know she was in charge and came to promise us our prizes.

"After all the stress we faced physically, mentally and financially, would I end up getting nothing in return? That can never be possible. If they don't do the needful by paying us our due, we will block all entrance to the next event in October and continue making statements in the press to ridicule the already bad reputation the organization has," she revealed.

All efforts to get the founder and CEO of BSTAN Group, Mrs Becky to react to the allegations proved abortive as phone calls and texts messages where not answered as at press time.

However, the organization sent out a text message announcing it would be having the NHF 6.0 at the ICC , Abuja.

Politics / APC To AYU: Please Leave Us Out Of Your Hot Mess by okrote4real: 12:58pm On Sep 06, 2022
FCT, ABUJA
SEPTEMBER 06, 2022
PRESS STATEMENT

*AYU, PLEASE LEAVE APC OUT OF YOUR HOT MESS*

As he struggled to deny a statement credited to him that Governor Nyesom Wike could not father a child, the National Chairman of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, alleged, ridiculously, that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and "other mischievous people" were planting such stories in the media and stoking the feud between him and the Rivers State Governor.

Understandably, Chairman Ayu is deep in quicksand and swinging wildly in search of third parties to blame for the internal combustion in the party that he leads.

With such an escapist mindset, it is not difficult to see why the meltdown in the PDP has proved intractable on his watch. Lacking forthrightness and character to accept responsibility for the crisis in his party, how can he possibly resolve it?

Unlike the party of Ayu, APC does not “plant stories” and does not meddle in the internal affairs of other parties. That is an area of extreme and unrivaled competence of the PDP.  In any event, the PDP is unraveling unstoppably and needs no help from the outside.

Rather than distract himself in search of an illusory scapegoat, Ayu and stakeholders of his withering PDP should concentrate on finding an anchor to slow the Party’s rudderless drift.

How can a party that has proved incapable of governing itself seek to govern a country as important as Nigeria? After 16 years of ruthless misgovernance and crass failure to reform and reposition itself, quite frankly, the PDP stands morally disqualified from asking Nigerians for their votes in the next general election.

On our part, we will remain focused in search of new and creative ways of improving the quality of life of our people, and working to convince them to renew our mandate again in 2023.

Crime / Hundreds Of PDP Youth Groups Lay Down Arms, Defect To APC by okrote4real: 4:29pm On Sep 05, 2022
The opposition PDP Youth groups today announced their defection from the party to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, citing being used as thugs by their former party, PDP as a major reason for their action.

Speaking while announcing their defection from the PDP, leaders of the groups, Baba Karami and Garba Lawal (Vice) who spoke separately when they were received by the former Gusau local government council chairman, Alhaji Babangida Abdullahi Fagacin Gusau, the youth leaders lamented how the PDP used them as political thugs causing disorder and lawlessness on the instructions of the PDP leaders.

They also accused the PDP of abusing their status as leaders of tomorrow as they were given weapons and drugs which they used against many of their victims while the PDP leaders' children were made to go to school without having to participate in thuggery.

They begged the APC and the good people of Zamfara for forgiveness on the pains they inflicted on them, surrendered the local weapons they used in intimidating people and promised never to go back to the bad ways.

The youths who described Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle and his leadership style as the best thing to happen to Zamfara, urged him to engage them positively so that they can contribute to the growth and development of Zamfara.

While receiving them, the former Chairman of Gusau local government, Alhaji Babangida Abdullahi expressed happiness over the right decision taken by the youth.

He said the Matawalle-led leadership in Zamfara aims to empower the youth rather than make them marauders terrorizing the citizens especially during political activities.

The former council boss who assured the new APC members that they will be treated equally as other members, said they will be engaged into positive ventures in the state.

He noted that the defecting youths have further exposed how the PDP under the flagship of Dauda Lawal Dare intends to occupy the minds of the youth calling on other youths yet to realize that, to re-examine how they are being used so that they can come to the APC and be good citizens.
