I like this man already. All those outcomes of their meeting are things that can further polarise the country. And none of it is achievable if northerners refuse to cooperate.
Wait and see. Even northerners are becoming wary of the handwriting on the wall. Look when a country wants to fail just like a car, it gives signs. It is left for an experienced driver to decipher the sound coming from the vehicle to know when to stop and save the vehicle or continue to the total knocking of the engine, that would make the repairs very costly.

Who cares they're hypocrite. Obj and GEJ = 16 years. Buhari and yar'adua = 8 years. But we didn't act like crybabies.

Buhari will handover to them in 2023, unlike OBJ who started third time Agenda. Remains 1.5 years but they kept whining like babies.

One Nigeria brings nothing but disrespect to the North. We're losing our religion, ourselfs our laws, our values, culture and adventures. Living with unconscious people.

Just look how blacks are destroying the West. There is over 80 shouting in Chicago over the weekend. 11 kids fatally shot. Go to other black and brown community with Muslim population they live peaceful.

All this terrorist group Taliban, ISIS etc are the creation of the West. They literally admitted to it. but whatever.

Since in the beginning the North decline to join one Nigeria, even when they forced us. Sardauna and Tafawa Balewa did nothing except working for Northern Agenda. The unconscious people think they are the wise ones. Mtwss
You are so pained by the communique. Well this is just the beginning. You can't sow wind and expect not to reap whirlwind.

I've been following conversations on social media and the only region that wants this country to remain one are the northerners. Why are they hell bent on one Nigeria? Can't they survive on their own? Are they happy with epileptic power, bad roads, unemployment etc. 97% of them want Nigeria to remain the way it is for reasons best known to them. They prefer to die than allow Nigeria break. If it's not really favoring them, they won't want to die on top one Nigeria.

Wild fires starts with a spark that eventually engulfs and consume the entire forest. Yorubas would say like play like play butterfly dey take enter bush. Those who think that this spark would be extinguished easily, are yet to understand the damage the open nepotism, support for murderous herdsmen, bokoharam, bandits and the sheer arrogance of miyetti allah and this regimes' obvious implicit support for them, has completely destroyed the zip that holds this nation fabric pushed the the once tolerant Yoruba nation to the wall. Why can't your cow stay in your farm lands and leave the southerns alone. It's not by force is it until you kill all the southerns? In a video which is making rounds online, some firefighters arrived the scene of a fire incident in Ogun state, to put fire but their hose wasn’t working.

So they resorted to filling their jerrycans with water from the water truck to put out the fire, and this odd act left onlookers with a series of thoughts running through their minds.

bigdammyj:
A 21-year-old undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Chidinma Ojukwu, has narrated how she stabbed the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, to death in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
She spoke at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday after she was paraded as a suspect by the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
Odumosu said Ojukwu was arrested at her parents’ residence in the Yaba area of the state on Wednesday night.
Ojukwu, a 300-level student of Mass Communication, said she had been in a romantic relationship with Ataga for about four months before the ugly incident.
Ojukwu said she and Ataga were “having fun” when an argument broke out and she stabbed him twice.
She said, “We were in the lodge smoking. He was trying to make advances on me. I was tired and he became violent on it. I let him have his way. Towards afternoon, he ordered roofies. We took it together and ate food. He became high. I was still not happy with the first one (sex) that we had, so, I was staying on my own, smoking and drinking. He, too, was on his own.
“He came to me and I was like I am not happy with what he did. I was like, ‘You don’t help me, you don’t assist me with anything, you are just playing with me around’. He was like, ‘Take my ATM and withdraw what you want’.
“He later became violent trying to get to me and I was resisting and defending myself. At some point, he hit my head on the wall and I also retaliated.
“At some point, he was chasing me around the kitchen cabinet. I took a knife and stabbed his neck. I approached the door and he followed me. I stabbed him twice on the neck side. I threw the knife to the bed and he was going for it but I also went for it. He dragged the knife with me and it broke and he fell on the floor.”
The undergraduate also disclosed that after stabbing the late CEO, she withdrew N380,000 from his account using his ATM card.
While the owner of the rented apartment where the tragic incident took place had been arrested, Odumosu said Ataga’s accounts had been blocked to prevent further withdrawals by those taking advantage of his untimely death to deplete the accounts.

PoliticsRe: The Biafran Question, History & What Next by Oksman(m): 1:56pm On Jun 24, 2021
Elbinawi:
The Biafran Question, History & What Next

I wish to write something about the Biafran agitation in the South East. Some Igbos might not be happy with this frankness but they should think deep.

I was not born when the civil war happened (1967-1970) but I heard terrible things happened. Mass slaughter of Igbos in Northern Nigeria and the mass starvation of Igbos in the South East.

After Nigerian independence in 1960 Igbos had a dominant role in post-colonial Nigeria. Igbos dominated the military and the civil service. Though the Prime Minister was from the North, the President (ceremonial) was an Igbo.

The Igbos then totally controlled what is today the South East and South South regions.

Then the 1966 coup that was planned and executed by Igbo military officers happened and their main Victims were political and military leaders of Northern Nigeria. The famous Sadauna was murdered with his wife in Kaduna. The reason of this 1966 tribal coup was to enhance Igbo hegemony. Despite all what they had in the political space then, they were still greedy for more power. And this was their unmaking as they lost everything.

After the 1966 coup an Igbo, Gen. Aguyi Ironsi, became Head of State. Then the North organized counter-coup the next year, abducted Gen. Aguyi Ironsi and eliminated him. Two Northern Army officers of Christian extraction led that operation in Ibadan.

Then the unfortunate civil war (1967+1970). More than 3 million Igbos died in that war. All their major cities destroyed.

One of the outcome of the Nigerian civil war was that the ethnic minorities of the former Eastern region were liberated from Igbo servitude and domination. The lands of these minorities is rich in oil resources. This shrinked the sphere of influence of Igbos and restricted them to just 5 states with the smallest land mass in Nigeria. Each of 13 states of Northern Nigeria are bigger than the entire South East region in terms of land mass.

The South East is a densely populated area. The Igbos who are historically traders are forced to move out of their region and spread to various parts of Nigeria, Africa and the world. The largest number of Nigerians outside Nigeria are Igbos. It is not an understatement to state that majority of Igbos live outside the 5 South East states. There are millions of Igbos in Lagos alone. The millions of Igbos in Northern Nigeria are more than the population of two states in the South East. Go to remote villages in Northern Nigeria and you will find Igbos.

Historically, Igbos did not have contact with great civilizations before the advent of European colonialism. The North had contact with great civilizations before the advent of European colonialism. This was why the North could read and write even before British colonialism. The city of Kano is more than one thousand years old. The people of Borno were playing Chess game before the European colonialism arrived the shores of Nigeria.

The Biafran sessesionist agitation did not die with the end of the civil war. It was just subdued but that quest always remain. In the regime of former president GEJ, Igbos were well represented with key government appointments. The Biafra agitation was almost non existent then. Then came the Buhari regime on 29th May, 2015. Those that know President Buhari knows that he does not have favorable disposition towards the Igbo tribe. In appointments president Buhari marginalized the Igbo tribe hiding under the pretext that they voted for the opposition party PDP.

Then the pretender, Nnamdi Kanu, surfaced from nowhere and started a campaign for the actualization of Biafra. The brutal and tyrannical nature of president Buhari became the catalyst of the brutal attacks on the then peaceful Biafran agitation. Nnamdi Kanu was arrested and detained. President Buhari sent the former Nigerian army chief Buratai and hundreds of Igbos Youths were brutally slaughtered and dumped in a mass grave.

These genocidal massacres fueled the sessesionist agitation in the South East and thousands of Igbo Youths flooded to join the military wing of Nnamdi Kanu's IPOB. The IPOB militia started attacking and killing security forces in the South East and some part of the South South. Some Northern interest and businesses were also attacked. A low-key insurgency has started in the South East. Very unfortunate!

On a final note, we should hold president Buhari responsible for the recent rise of the Biafran sessesionist agitation in the South East but it is up to Igbo leaders to decide whether they want to remain in the Nigerian union or not but in my thinking it is in their interest to remain in the Nigerian Union.

The igboman sees others as his slaves because he believes he is superior than others. Ahmadu Bello must be right about the igbo people.

See what this igboman wrote down on Twitter, basically this is the mentality of many igbo people who are Ipob members, apparently those who are not of the igbo stock are lower human beings than them. They are better than everyone and they are in charge of Nigeria that is why Nigeria do not want them to go.

How can you be this better then blame the fulani man for all your problems in Nigeriahuh

PoliticsRe: Herdsmen: Forget It, No Law Backs Grazing Routes – Afenifere Tells Buhari by Oksman(m): 1:29am On Jun 17, 2021
valentineuwakwe:
The Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, on Wednesday, called on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to jettison the idea of reopening grazing routes in Nigeria.

Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, Jare Ajayi, said the move should be jettisoned because there is no law backing such.

Buhari had thrown his weight behind open grazing in Nigeria.

Gov Akeredolu kicks against Buhari’s move for open grazing

In an interview with Arise Television, the president had expressed the hope of reopening grazing routes across the country.

The president had said he would direct the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami to dig up the gazette of the First Republic which backed grazing routes.

But, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Ajibola Basiru had insisted that there was no such law.

However, Ajayi said Basiru’s remark was in tandem with the stance of Afenifere which friend against grazing routes in Nigeria.

Ajayi, in a statement said: “It is quite gladdening that a lawmaker, a Senator will tell us what the position of the law is. For him to say that there is no such law is quite gladdening but our position in Afenifere is that if there were such a law, we will want to know when it was promulgated and to what extent it should cover.

“In any case, such a law will be obsolete and it will not be binding. For the senator to tell us that there is no such law, it is in tandem with our position.

“The Federal Government should forget the idea about reopening any grazing route.”
