Religion / Re: Bishop Oyedepo On COVID-19: Any System The Church Attacks Will Crash by okunola1: 3:55am On Jan 01, 2021
[It's obvious you are not a winner otherwise you are a bastard. Their is no big deal in what Bishop said. The so called rulers should lead by example. Question you should ask is; Does Virus only flies around in the church or what's hullabaloo about the church and their services. It's a new year, I don't have time to talk much. Mind you I don't attend Winners. quote author=divinecode101 post=97599805]I am a winner and respect Bishop Oyedepo so much, but I think he missed it this time, this is trash he is saying at this time.

Even in the US, UK, Israel etc, they respect Government laws an they follow the rules, can he say this trash in UK and he is not fined?

His comments appear as pure rvbbish

May God heal the world, Amen
May their generation be cursed forever. If you are lacking in idea, the right thing to do is resign and let reasonable people rule for crying out loud.

Abeg. Everyone should go and sit down and stop bothering us with Covid 19, we have had a lot of that. It's not selling again except that some people in government are using it to siphon money. Even WHO is confused and many are dying of hunger.

Guy,
If you have issues with the governor, you could open up on the issues or address to him personally. Many people here have asked what is government using for those discharged since there are no vaccines yet and then someone was able to open up on what he used and then a lot of you guys are vomitting trash. I am not here to trade words but I think you guys should be appreciative ones in a while or at best keep shut.
(quote Melezenawii]This guy is highly irresponsible. Very careless and garrulous... Quite unfortunate
I'm not but rather you need a brain reset if it's so difficult for you to differentiate between an isolation center and rescue for hurricane. Again, go back to your irresponsible government to do the needful with the tax they collect. Churches are not isolation centres
Religion / Re: Coronavirus: 3 Nigerian Church Buildings That Can Be Used As Treatment Centres by okunola1: 6:45pm On Mar 19, 2020
You only displayed your level of stupidity by mentioning the churches. Let me assure you that your plans are dead on arrival. Churches are not isolation center. Go back to your reckless irresponsible government to tow the lanes of other countries by doing the needful.(quote author=HigherEd post=87570357]Considering the fact that Nigeria as it is currently run does not have the capacity to build a 1000 bed hospital in just days. It is imperative to identify already existing resources that can be used to cater for thousands of infected patients in a potential outbreak.

Amazingly, in terms of structure, some enclosed Nigerian buildings may prove so useful for a whole number of reasons. Personally, I have always argued that government should work with churches and incorporate their facilities with NEMA as potential temporal facilities to accommodate large numbers of people during intense national crisis. Of course, there's need for government to build her own facilities as the Churches built theirs for a reason.

But with the Covid19 potential outbreak, Churches are not going to be operational for the large part. So government should begin initiating contacts with churches to see if their facilities are suitable for makeshift hospitals in case of a potential outbreak.

1st: Faith Tabernacle Ota:

Faith Tabernacle Ota is one of the largest free span structure currently existing anywhere in the world. Worth billions of Naira. The facility can accommodate 53,000 worshippers at any given time. It can therefore accommodate between 3,000 - 3,500 beds. With it being fully Air conditioned, it is independent of external ventilation.
Another feature which makes it an ideal place for mass treatment of potential infected patients from South West Nigeria is that it is run by an independent power plant with a 21 year record of having 24/7 electricity.

Lastly, a two minutes drive eastward into the Church's university is one of the country's most viable molecular and virology laboratories, which can be used to test patients.
If the government is proactive in putting test and other measures right at the airport, they won't have to start tracing the contacts when we know the extents to which this would have gone. I see this as lackadaisical attitude, same thing happening to our Security.

I think this is a devastating news coming from Nigeria government and health ministry, we have more than enough time to prepare and guide against this from entering Nigeria. What happens to quarantine and necessary test of Foreign nationals from infected countries. Just yesterday, the senate said government wasn't doing enough. Our government needs to be proactive

I really understand ur case well enough and guess I could contribute to the best of my knowledge. Firstly, understand that quite a lot of people go through this situation but the manner they handle it matters most. Please dont ever attempt to force yourself on any man. U are too precious to be overlooked. Men that did not approach U never deserved to have you. I will advise you to believe God for your own man and sincerely you will not be disappointed for he will come at the right time. Dont even attempt to dress as prostitute just to attract men. I mean it and believe me U are very costly. Dont sell yourself to nothing to do men who will only feed on your body and defile you on a platter of gold. I am a man myself and I advise as I will do to my blood sister. Please exercise a little patience .
Health / Re: How Do U Deal With Your Temper. by okunola1: 4:40pm On Nov 23, 2009
I once battled with this in childhood to the extent of smashing 3 ludo games on different occasions anytime I lost out and was laughed over amidst some other occasions.
Meanwhile I have come to discover that though fasting is okay but in addition I think if u always anticipate that people will offend u and u prepare for what in turn will happen (Ur response) it will help a lot.

Now I know that the message of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing. Anyway a note of warning everyman will give account for all stupid words and blasphemy uttered. If I were you, I will refuse to be foolish in speaking unconfirmed accusations against the men of God and there callings. Besides, you expect the man to wipe out poverty from Nigeria in the 25 years of his ministry, fine but how many has your generation old and living wiped out since there days of adventures. And somebody criticize men of God, and hoping they get the fact from God, I hope you make it(heaven) but definitely not with this criticism. Truly, the Lord knows those that are His. Keep your mouth shut and find something profitable to say. A word is enough for the wise hope you are.

Politics / Re: Animals Do Not Turn Into Human Beings: Ok? by okunola1: 11:52am On Aug 09, 2008
I think guys are beginning to mix things up. There is no contesting the fact that black magic (juju) does exist. I have with my own eyes seen a person stabbed with a knife and it did not penetrate his body. I have witnessed a situation where a person locks a padlock and three different pistols fired at him were all jammed. I have seen festivals in my village where a canoe that should move on water was actually being paddled on land and it was moving without tyres or rollers. All these are incidents of black magic. It has been in practice since pre-colonian times, some slaves that were taken from west africa took this magic to America and that is why we have voodoo practice there as well.

If you say there is no black magic which we call juju, then basically you are trying to dodge the truth. It does exist and we all know it. The issue at hand is the posibility of a human turning into an animal physically. There are witches and wizards, Even the bible acknowledges this class of people as being evil and not deserving to live. But the truth is that this people have spiritual powers which operates in the spirit and not in the physical. When you say that one turns into a cat or a bat or any other animal as it may be, it is not in the physical. It is in the spiritual. Physically that person is still human. They can only operate in an animal physically by possessing the animal. i.e imputing an evil spirit into the animal so they can control its body.

If you are observant, you will notice that there are different level of spiritism. There is a level in the spiritual that is very much similar to the physical. This is the level that affects what happens in the physical. Anyone who can operate at that level can change things that happen in the physical. That is where witches and wizards operate. They have harnested the secrets and powers to operate there. At this level of the spiritual, you can imagine a thing and it will be manifested to you. For instance if someone is fighting with you, you want a knife, just imagine it and it will come to you. So at this level you can wish to be a cat and you will see yourself as a cat.

If you know how about this level, It will be difficult for anyone or anything to manipulate your destiny. Its just that we are ignorant of this and that is why we often cry that we are being manipulated. But of course you dont have to learn to exist in this level, if the gift is not given you of God, it becomes difficult. That is why most cults have learnt to meditate. Meditation takes you into this level. For those who are church goers, prayer is another tool that can be used to counter any thing decreed against you at that level. So prayer still remains the most powerful tool of all.

That is why the bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and wickedness in high places. Physically you cannot become a animal, spiritually it is possible. That is the true knowledge.

Family / Re: Why Marriages Don’t Work: The Change Factor by okunola1: 1:02pm On Aug 05, 2008
I had to hold myself from throwing up as i read this piece.  Really it would had made a master peice but i just could not read it to the end because i found it impossible.  You make it look as if it is a man thing.  My believe is that the problem in marriage starts with the woman.  You can never predict them.  When you are dating, she is so pleasant, always careful not to offend you, she cleans up your house, would even go to the extent of washing your clothes, would want to impress you with her wonderful cooking.  She will always seek advice from you and what so ever you say on an issue is law and is final.  Your family would be her best friends.  Two months after marriage, she suddenly realizes that she is not a slave and can't be doing all the cooking and cleaning of the house.  She can't wash your clothes any more, she wonders why she would have to do all the cooking and washing the dishes and you sit in front of the television with a bottle of beer. (formerly even if you offered to help in the kitchen, she would politely turn you down.). She complains about everything.  Your family becomes a  problem (be careful before your mother turns out to be a witch). If you work late, you have gone to visit another woman.  You don't have right to have a lady friend, you are not even permitted to gist with the ladies in your office. Though she will have male friends, her old school mates will call her to chat with her, her colleagues will buy her lunch and even dinner attimes, he will even drop her home.
If you as a man dare, buy lunch for a colleague; my God you better not sleep home that day because it would be better to get yourself locked up in kirikiri. If you must offer left to anyone, let it not be a woman alone.  if there must be a woman among the list, she must not sit in front of the car.  Your advice turns to stupidity that is if you are even allowed to render some.  She preffers to take advice from her friends and will promptly contest any decision you take concerning the home.  Nothing you say is good.  You say black, she says you should had said white.  Next time to please her you say it is white and what do you get "the white did not come from your mind" you are not being sincere.  you are right, she gets angry and you beg. It takes a week to get over that one.  She is right, you say sorry and beg, it only God know how that will end. No matter who is at fault, it is always the man's fault.  They never accept their faults.  They are always right (I too Know). They want to boss over you but who not take it if you try to boss over them.

You will find life so frustrating because you find yourself doing everything to please a woman but they are insatiable.  Most men end up in the beer parlours trying to find solance. Most will probably die at age 50-60 because they are not happy inside.  I believe the home determines how long a man will live. A happy marriage will get you to 80-100 and above, a sad one ends you premature.  Every man wants a happy home, but how to find the right woman to make that home happy becomes a problem.  I must confess that there is no right woman.  those men running from one woman after the other waste their time because they are all made of the same stuff.  No two women are mentally different.  They all think the same way.  Academically you may find some difference, but when it comes to reasoning: They follow the same sad fashion. So just try as much as possible to patch up with the one you have, you can get it better.  It would be stupid to break up with her afterall someone needs to bear the children unless you can find another way to bring them into the world.  That is all they are really useful for.

In conclusion: If you a man wants to be happy, the only way is to try as much as possible to produce a child or two during the first three years of marriage and pour your love on your child.  Let it be your consellation and let it give you happiness.  Spend as much time as you can with it and mould it in the way you always dreamt of for your child.  The child you can mould, not a woman. That is the only source of true happiness. You can't get that from a woman, no matter how much love you pour into her. She will still be a woman. In my silent hours i sometimes wonder if eating the forbidden fruit was the original sin, because I wonder what Adam must had done for God to had given him a woman as companion.

Nicely said Seun, I love the points you raised. Though personally I detest the use of abusive language, but in this case i couldn't agree less.
Now About point raised that he was "generalizing".  I disagree. He said "some idiotic" if you find yourself in the category of those who believed the stories then you can count yourself idiotic but if you didn't (like myself) then you are not idiotic.  It depends on where you stand.  I took no offence at his words because i never believed the stories. the words don't apply to me. So don't hang the guy for calling an idiot "an idiot"
