Asiwaju05:pentecostal christianity and all those pastors who blame the economic hardship of their members caused by the federal government of Nigeria on little kids who barely know who they are - so sad! |
duro4chang:they are crazy- the country Nigeria is an african third world country and that comes with tremendous poverty and hunger - so how did some 11 year old cause his misfortune in life? if he was successful before he gave birth to them and probably living in the western world - how would their witchcraft caused him poverty?? |
PaNnamdi:exactly ![]() |
bukky1994:thx bro - no mind the op money makes the world go round money gives u plenty of options with women even if a woman wants u when broke ….. if you remain broke, she will lose respect for u and that will come with craving a better deal and her friends or family wil encourage her to …….. and one day, she will break ur heart that’s why they say look for money b4 love!!!! |
Torosk1:cut make i cut soap for u my first experience i was like 13 years old when this girl who was about 15 toasted me… damn i know i liked her because she was so pretty then but i didn’t know what to do with my feelings - so i was just busy squandering all her moves - she even asked my cousin sister to help her roast me for her and it was such a funny situation until of course I left town after the holidays ended and a year later when i came back, she no won even take eye see me - another sharp man don dey gbolarize her mercilessly- me sef i maintain my lane - but that experience made me take future opportunities like that with impunity and many more came in later years and i never disappointed myself ![]() |
Englishisamust:using Qatar as a measure of not standing a chance of winning the world cup by hosting it, I quite agree with that BUT Qatar is not doing it for the money, they are doing it for national pride considering their debt to GDP ratio, Qatar is 1,000% more self sufficient than any African country or all African countries put together - so, let me ask you Sir, the social safety nets available for Qatari citizens to thrive - are such available in Nigeria ? is hunger of Nigeria’s magnitude happening in Qatar ? do people get missing in Qatar in broad day light due to kidnappings ? Do ritual killings happen incessantly in Qatar? Do average Qataris have a massive problem earning up to $5 a day from honest work ? Is armed robbery and unresolved assassinations prevalent in Qatar like in Nigeria ? Is Qatar the current “poverty” capital of the world ? Until you can respond by stating similarities between Qatar and Nigeria in the above areas i just mentioned, then your analysis is faulty Dude, I don’t live in Nigeria and I make way way more than $30,000 a year - I am just concerned about the lack of corporate responsibility on the part of Access Bank in creating a tournament that their customers won’t ever win - the very customers that created the profit that provided that $30k prize that an Ethiopian took away in their very presence… If you think corporate sponsors don’t look out for their own interest in saner climes - let me ask you, when Nigeria won the First U-16 world cup in 1985, do you realize Kodak, the sponsors didn’t sponsor the next edition of the games ? it was an open secret then that they withdrew their sponsorship because Nigeria’s win was not helpful to their business - then Coca Cola took over and regardless of who wins, Coca Cola will make money because it’s stakes are high everywhere on planet earth - and lastly when have u seen an American company with little corporate stakes in Africa sponsoring AFCON? why is McDonalds or even Continental Airlines or Budweiser beer not sponsoring African tournaments like they sponsor the NFL Super bowl ? it’s simple - they know where their bread is being buttered (American consumers) and they know Americans will win it and all dollar of sponsoring the event will return to their purse as their customer loyalty soars- Is that same with Access Bank? Bro, every hand should be don deck to rescue Nigerians from debilitating poverty - 30 more people rescued by $1,000 each may be “numerically” insignificant as you pointed out earlier, yet it is 30 lives rescued and in the age of “all lives matter” - 30 is massive in the eyes of God and humanity! |
Englishisamust:your responses are very myopic and allergic to seeing the picture. 1. Sunday Mba scored that goal in 2013 as a reference to what our league can produce not because any sane person expects him to be in much relevant playing soccer in 2022 because footballers have a life span in the game, except you are a poor student of history - The now late Paolo Rossi was the higest goal scorer at Espana 82 world cup and Italy won the cup. where was Rossi in Mexico 1986 or Italia 90 editions? he fizzled out. Is that an indictment of the Italian league being “so poor” because Rossi’s knack at scoring goals faded? I guess using your Mba analogy- the Italian league is useless because Rossi didn’t play forever - at the top level . what of Salvatore “Toto” Schilacci of Italia 90 world cup - Just like Rossi in 1982, he was the world cup golden boot winner in 1990 for Italy - he was not even in the Azurri team to USA 94, so I guess the Italian league is “so useless” and same as Nigeria because their talisman Schilacci faded away after just one world cup shine - lastly what about Paul “Gaza” Gascogne who wrecked havoc on opponents for England at Italia 90 world cup scoring crazy goals ? he fizzled out and was no longer playing football by 1998 - I guess the premier league is useless because of Gascoigne’s personal travails - you see how myopic your analysis are? you forget that same Nigerian league produced the likes of Moses Kpakor of BCC lions of Gboko, who effectively policed African Footballer of the year and European Champions league winner with FC Porto Rabah Madjer of Algeria in the finals of Algiers 90, That Madjer had to confess he was made so useless by Kpakor. same Kpakor never played professional football outside Nigeria in his career - I can go on and on but let me stop there on the Mba issue - you never see anything good about your country and when there is a single isolated instance of failure - you generalize! |
Englishisamust:The bold side shows that you have some inferiority complex issues - the same local league that produced Sunday Mba whose lone goal in the finals gave Nigeria AFCON gold in 2013 is the same league u arr describing "so local" - I no blame you Sir Let me ask you, if $30,000 is so small and a drop in the bucket for the organizers - will that money not empower 30 Access Bank customers or 30 Nigerians with $1,000 each to set up a road side or small scale business ? How many Nigerians living in Nigeria make up to $5 or less a day ? The hunger and frustration wey dey naija right now dey London like that ? U dey compare naija with London ? The kidnapping and insecurity wey dey naija right now dey London ? If u are hoping to build tourism with some marathon race when there is so much hunger and frustration in the land then u are dreaming or simply living in a bubble of self delusion... there is absolutely no justification for such capital flight - in business administration, there is a maxim called "social responsibility" .... that implies what organizations do to assist the communities where they conduct business .... but this organization called Access Bank is targeting Kenya and Ethiopia for assistance and not NIGERIA! We hosted Afcon and even the junior world cup because every Nigerian believe's we stand a chance of winning it - why has Nigerian not hosted world basket ball tourneys? Or world karate competition? Because we can never win it - those sports are not our core competence. ....please don't just argue for arguing sake Let them take that bs marathon to kenya or Ethiopia - enuff said! |
olorunthobby:men wise up- after these macbook gifts - she probably went to fvck a dude who can’t even buy her common sharwama - i have made a promise to myself - no woman will enjoy shishi of my money in gifts ever again - i can only take you out for dinner and buy u ice cream - those things that will melt in your bowels after a few hours - wine all that but physical gifts you will keep and enjoy after u give me attitude ? lai lai except u are my wife who bore my kids or baby mama - no girl friend or lover is worth giving tangible gifts- after all the sex they give men is intangible - u can’t even remember the look or feel of the pvssy after u come - so why give tangible rewards for intangible services ? |
Starz825:tax the hell out of that money by 65% because that money is going to ethiopia not nigeria why should any nigerian compete with a kenyan or ethiopian on marathon ? it is like playing messi, neymar, mbappe and ronaldo in one team against remo stars and expecting remo stars to win - Imporrrrrrr impossible - reason is because their country’s location is on high altitude so naturally they breed long distance runners due to environmental factors…. that’s unfair to Nigerians if they want to have this race again, the. organizers should take it to kenya or ethiopia and save nigerians the agony of seeing foreigners come and collect the star prize when hunger dey bite kontri men useless and misplaced priorities why can’t the organizers give prizes for the funniest comedy skits in africa - nicest home video actor / actress or musician so our people can stand a chance of winning it ? after all those activities make more people happy in distress times than one useless marathon that benefits only the participants or rather winner - health wise and financially - My question is - will Kenyan or Ethiopian companies do any competition about best African films or music knowing their host countries won’t stand a chance against Nigeria ? Naaaaaahhhhh- Awa mumu never do? |
Bahamas95:no mind am - his juju was his waist breaking dribbles , deft touches, crazy long range headers, deceptive but hot shots at goalies and wicked passes - Abedi Ayew Pele- “LEGEND” |
VULCAN:because na fabu — lies lies lies is all i see in the OP’s post — yen yen yen, “marry an american darling” - that line looks like a dream than a reality - wishful thinking ![]() |
yuping:no bros, na Okere prison for Warri him dey go ![]() |
his village people got him finally- now they and his family will mismanage the hotel it that will look like a leper’s colony in 3 months - that’s if the government no take the hotel |
Davidonkonsults:abeg no mind the lady with her fabu… that’s a big fat lie - rape can’t happen in an airplane and watch this case getting dismissed for lack of evidence- if this story is allowed to fly - it will bring the airline industry to its knees as there will be allegations and counter allegations of rape, molestation and all that like the ME TOO movement and it will lead to hundreds billions of dollars payed as damages from cases of these since 13BC lol…. how can anyone be so daring to penetrate a lady while there are prying eyes on board, when air hostess for walk up to you - even if light off and both of you are drunk - the people seating behind you - on your side and in front of you too can’t see - hear or sense something unusual ? na toilet e for happen ? plane toilets is so small it can’t fit most passengers properly talkless of 2 people siddon look mode activated! |
halaal:2 certain things in western world Debt and Taxes! |
Manny21:no mind dem - go look wetin indians turn Uganda to - they turned Ugandans to slaves because Indians were getting easy citizenship until Idi Amin forced them out - once Indians, chinese and Lebanese bigin carry naija kpali, we will hate ourselves as a people - they will gather money together and buy all our lands and make our citizens work inside it like beast with little pay, buy up out properties and then put us in it as tenants and make our children and wives their domestic servants and they will so abuse abuse our women and children ehnnnn - hmm. this people don’t know what they are playing with - they want to alienate Nigerians in their home land - the mistake East Africans are unable to recover from is what we are trying to get ourselves into - hmm racism never join - na only tribalism dey naija we dey complain - wait until racism join |
Nemesis0147:Egypt with 8 Afcon titles and winning it in 2006, 2008, 2010 what else do they want ? na only dem dey Africa ? |
Kenn55:sorry not entirely true - I live in the USA and I don’t know much about Canada - I am in the $75,000 to $100,000 tax bracket and I pay 20% as taxes - extra 11% on to Social Security and Medicaid - how I get around that is to put in 10% of my earnings into my 401k to reduce my taxable income - even at that whatsoever one gets at the end of the year as refunds is never a straight math - it depends on so many factors, like EIC tax credit, charitable donations, tax write offs, student loans delinquency, garnishments, and all that - I have never lived in the UK but I have folks there who tell me the British tax system is draconian to the extent they pay tax on antenna tv, not cable but antenna tv - the bottom line here is that taxes reduces whatever is earned in the west significantly and it’s never what the rate on paper looks like that you take home - i will leave it there thanks! |
Mindlog:how sweet it is for Cisse, having lost to Cameroun in the finals of Mail 2002 as a player and captain of the team via penalty kicks to now win the trophy on Cameroonian soil as the Coach of the Teranga Lions of Senegal 20 years later - hmmm life !! what the likes of great Senegalese players like Jules Bocande, Roger Mendy, Victor Diagne, GoalKeeper Cheikh Seik, Kalilou Fadiga, Henry Camara, El- Hadji Diouf, Buba Diop, Cisse, and a host of Senegalese greats was achieved today, Congrats to Senegal …… Its a big day for African football - they have entered into the class of African Champions- no longer continental minnows. If only Nigeria can just believe in Eguavoen, send him on coaching refresher courses - to improve his knowledge and tactics - and just believe in him over 8 years we can even win the senior world cup or at best get to the Semis - Eguavoen has great leadership skills but no, naija won’t do that - also he is not from one of the major tribes so he won’t last long on that seat … However, today Senegal is reaping their 7 years investment by believing Cisse can do it - I dare to say if Cisse was given the kind of assignment Eguavoen was given in that short time - i dont think he will win all 3 group matches - that was how good Eguavoen did at Afcon, but in Nigeria - we never value our own —- the Late legend Steve Keshi had to qualify Togo for the world cup in 2006, the same tournament Nigeria couldn’t qualify for us to believe in him — that paid off with Keshi winning the Afcon in 2013 and a good performance at Brazil world cup in 2014 Sadly, A prophet never gets respect in his home land! |
swiftz:Eto was among the Lions that defeated Nigeria in the finals on penalties when we hosted the Nations cup in year 2000… now him don see as e dey be for body when host lose - Samuel Eto, Patrick Mboma, Etame Mayer, Raymond Kalla, Geremi Njitap, Late Marc Vivien Foe, Salomon Olembe, Joel Epalle, Rigobert Song, Desire Job, Boukar Alioum and all that were so happy to beat Nigeria at home - 22 years later - Eto is having the real taste of what we felt that Day in Lagos 22 years ago - na so life be |
SportsHD:same as Cameroun beat Argentina 1-0 opening game Italia 90 world cup Cameroun crashed out in Quarters while the same Argentina got to the finals - na so life be |
IAMLIT:N100k or N100 million ? ![]() |
Omniman:What exactly is your point ? That I am lying or what ? well you asked me to read the income tax rates for the UK and I just did - and I pasted it below - in fact I am almost right on the spot because it’s 20% taxes for the £9 income bracket so £72 earnings attracts £14.4 taxes which makes the take home pay £57.6 so because I was wrong by .6 which is not up to £1 you are blabbing ? ![]() now let's do some arithmetic and relate it to your response - 8 hours per work day x 20 work day a month = 160 hours per month 160 x 12 months = 1,920 hours a year 1,920 hours a year x £9 rate for your cleaner work = £17,280 Tax rate for this income bracket = 20% 160 x 9 = £1,440 and pays a tax of £288 and takes home £1,152 please tell your audience this reality of high taxes and the living standards of the UK and purchasing power of the pounds sterling in the UK as compared to that standard of living - stop deceiving people! ![]()
|
henrinity:thx |
Omniman:and you fail to mention taxes …. which wil take like £15 pounds from that £72 leaving you with a take home pay of £57 as take home pay. you don’t earn £££ in the UK and spend naira - you spend £££ and what N1,000 can buy for you in Nigeria is what £7 will buy for you in London - so, a man making N70k a month in Nigeria is living exactly like that man who makes £9 an hour in the UK - standard of living issues so stop hyping the pay |
executive12:I live abroad almost 20 something years now and counting |
JUXTOS:I have been to almost 50 countries in my life both rich and poor countries and so have never seen anywhere in the world where the government or people of that country welcomes you with money and accommodation and a job when u arrive - i have never seen anywhere you pick money on the ground- and even if you are lucky to visit somewhere and you are fortunate to have family or friends there waiting to assist you blend in, the honeymoon will be over in a week or so as they will give u that job, and move u out to your own place where u will spend that your earnings on bills the system has created to swallow what you earn… lastly, you don’t earn dollars or euros or pounds abroad and spend naira - you spend that hard currency over there too in the commensurate level on good and services like the standard is over there and then the big battle bigins on how to keep some of what you earn and many, i mean many diasporans havnt figured this out in donkey years - so i am not saying people should not travel… travel if you have ur last breath depends on it but if u have a good capital - don’t, trade with it - no matter how bad Nigeria is, if u live within your means - u can make it big… in Nigeria - there are still self contained or BQ in a nice house even in places like lagos, warri or ph that goes for N200k a year - in the western world that your 200k naira can only get you a slum apartment for a month - think people - yes naija may have challenges but if many of us diasporans, knowing what we know now about the abroad, have the second chance to travel and time can roll back to the days of old, we will not even travel to stay but just to visit after we have made it at home in Nigeria - a word is enough for the wise, ka chineke me ziokwu! |
obasidon1:while your are running away from Nigeria - somewhere in Lebanon, some men are thinking and praying hard to find themselves in Nigeria - even without $1 in their pocket, they believe they will make it big within 5 years and become millionaires because of Nigeria’s almost non existent taxes, huge market to sell anything sellable, loop holes everywhere that they can exploit that western organized societies can’t tolerate - and u want to waste that money venturing into the unknown and 10 years later - you still don’t have papers to travel to your land of birth Nigeria. and even when u have the papers, you can’t afford the air ticket and even if u can afford the air ticket - you get to Nigeria and discover most guys who didn’t travel when u did now have houses, cars, now married to the women they love or at least chose for themselves and by themselves with children and u will look lost because u don’t have a house of your own, probably u don’t have a wife and kids and it is now u are trying to hurriedly look for a “wait and take” wife which some family member organized for u as a rescue plan - and you are not even sure her feelings towards you is genuine because probably she too wants to escape Nigeria and she sees you as a means of doing just that! brother - if i were you, i will go get a chilled bottle of beer and relax - the grass is always greener on the other side - put on your thinking cap and think critically - keep that 2.5 million in the bank so you don’t make stupid decisions in a haste - spend the next 2 weeks researching what u can be selling that people must buy in your area and start doing that with N500k - only when u start making profits then introduce another 500k into it, be prudent with your money and watch ur life take off for good if in future u want to travel and live abroad u will not go like a fugitive - but with dignity and on your own terms. be wise!!!! |
phemmyfour:a girl in her early 20’s was fond of body shaming people those days when we were in school - now she is in her 40’s no kids yet so no one can say it’s baby fat but today she looks like Mechellen tire - some things come with age and there is nothing anyone can do about it - if u kike u gym from lagos to lisbon - when that time comes you will pack up weight look at Samuel Eto’s of Cameroun, I remember seeing how he used his flexible physique to score amazing goals all over Africa and Europe but with age now, Baba don big anyhow- Wven ElHadji Diouf of Senegal is now fat- now these were sportsmen who know what it is to keep fit but some things come with age and there is nothing anyone can do about it In Nigeria, look at Onyeka Onwenu - in the 1980’s she was very slender and has all her kids then but around 2007 to 2017 she added up a lot even when she was no longer having kids so let this one body shaming keep doing it- she doesn’t know how she will look like 10 to 15 years from now - never bet against nature and the passage of time |

stano2:There was one that I gave a job… I wanted to help her get something doing so that she can take care of herself. Just a few days to her starting the job - she started her mind games which created the impression she was seeing other guys - I confronted her about it and she told me she wants to be seeing other guys because she feels the relationship is an open one because I was not serious about marrying her ASAP and she didn’t want to waste her time - and I told her off that I can’t continue the relationship because the pressure was too much on me and I don’t want to go into crime to raise money to marry her, set her up in business like i promised her as soon as we marry and then transition to a family man immediately - because she can’t wan it even for less than one year that i suggested - then she was like 25/26… and we have not even been together physically more than 2 months When i called off the relationship - I didn’t take the job away from her, in fact i even asked her to continue with the job if she intends to in a very respectful way that our breakup shouldn’t affect the job I gave her - initially she agreed but one day later - she texted me that she didn’t want the job anymore in a very disrespectful way. I have never asked her to do anything for me without me encouraging her with money so it doesn’t look like I am using her to do chores but when it came to do something for me that i needed done even when i will still going to pay her - she declined by pulling out of the job and THAT KILED WHATEVER FEELINGS I HAVE for her as that’s very selfish… although she came back begging and all that texting and all that - it was over!!!! my conclusion about her behavior regarding the job is that - if ever we are together as man and wife and she has the financial leverage and I am broke, she will leave and I can’t invest my life into someone like that ! |
