Excellent move,

If they are confident the retrenchment wasn't unlawful, why didn't they show up yesterday? Hopefully their lawyers will advise them to show up the next hearing date.

I keep wondering what Uzoma stands to benefit if the bank crashes, as his actions so far suggests he doesn't mind running his father's business down with his strong headedness.

Really!

You mean you're an ex banker?

But your moniker makes me imagine you sell medicine. You know that medicine marketed in the south western part of the country, which the sellers claim is able to cure virtually all types of ailments.

It's called 'Ajase Pokipoki'

What part of my last paragraph is so.difficult for you to understand. "Like I earlier mentioned, I don't have issues with people fighting for their rights, I only have issues with people misinterpreting facts."

What facts have I misinterpreted Oga? I'll advise you to stop displaying your ignorance here. Just come with your evidence(s) disputing my claims if you so much believe I'm misinterpreting any facts. The country's problems are continually compounded by people who reason the way you do.

Meanwhile do not reply me again unless you have evidence(s) clearly disputing my claims

I don't have to be a "customer, investor or staff" before I can state the facts. The Op did not give facts that the bank is going south and what you attached is 2015 and 2016 results. You should be smart enough to know that fortunes can change between April 2016 and April 2017 (when the bank will post its end of year result) and you cannot predict a bank's profitability based on the past year result. The way it changed for the bank for 2015 and 2016.
Besides, can you list 10 organization in Nigeria that did not have profitability issues from the onset of Buhari administration in 2015?

I am saying this because this kind of "false news" can have a negative effect on banks. Bank in Nigeria have gone distress because of this kind of news.
Remember, thousand of people are on the payroll of the bank. Do you want the bank to collapse for them to be jobless?
Like I earlier mentioned, I don't have issues with people fighting for their rights, I only have issues with people misinterpreting facts.

It's quite disturbing that you seem so bothered about the staff currently on the bank's payroll, but ironically unconcerned about the unlawfully exited staff.

I did tell you to go and study the bank's financials from 2014 to date to ascertain my claim and even assisted you with two different links. If you are so bothered about the bank's staff, then why are you so lazy to do what I advised you to do? After all, Buhari was not yet president in 2014 and the country was not in recession then.

The import of this thread is to let Nigerians know the injustice meted out to the disengaged staff which they have now gone to court to seek redress for. It is not about running down the bank, after all if the bank's management paid off the affected staff(like others bank's that also laid off same same year did) there won't be a need for the legal action as well as this thread.

Did you read in the original post that the retrenchment was carried out even against the advise of the country's labor minister? All that concerns you is that the bank should not go down, even if they continue perpetrating heinous corporate criminal offenses.

Nawa for you oh Oga!

What proof so you have that the bank is going south? Is it mere hearsay or you have their financial to prove the bank is going south? Am.not against people.protesting for their rights but I am against slander.
Please put a proof that the bank is going south!!!

You sound like you are an important stakeholder (perhaps a customer, investor or staff) of diamond bank. If you indeed are, all you need to do is to get a copy of the bank's current financials to ascertain my claim. Nigerians deserve to know what is currently going on in the bank, and it is only fair we let them

that for the 49 (sic) days that you were away on medical leave in London, your appointees were gentle and behaved themselves and there were no killings in any part of the country by rampaging herdsmen; but now you are back and the troubles are back with us again? We all prayed for your quick recovery and swift return to office. Must we now regret doing so?”

Though I'm not a fan of Fayose, I'm really worried that the quote above is clearly the truth. One begins to wonder if the numerous Buhari blind supporters eg Sarrki will still continue to support him if(God forbid) a loved one of theirs happen to be a victim of the unending herdsmen killings now synonymous with this Buhari administration. While Fulanis are never arrested when they strike and kill people in their numbers, a few hausa/fulanis were killed in Ife days ago and several arrests have been made already.

I will also like to know Sarrki's reaction to the fact that only Yorubas have so far been arrested in connection with the Ife killings

Over 300 unlawfully disengaged staff of Diamond bank have dragged the management of the Bank to the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Jos division over their unlawful disengagement and refusal of the bank to pay severance benefits. Investigations reveal that the bank has been heading southwards going by all industry standard performance indicators ever since the current Managing Director/Chief executive Officer - Mr Uzoma Dozie took over management of the lender about three years ago.

In a bid to reduce operational costs by all means due to the effects of the current economic recession, the bank adopted a new operational structure early last year (2016) resulting in the need for a reduced workforce. In implementing this, the bank opted for an unlawful means of retrenchment, deciding to yank off over 300 staff from various grades, even against the advise of the Honorable Minister of Labour. The affected staff were neither paid severance nor redundancy benefits, despite the fact that other banks who carried out similar exercises in the same year paid their affected staff severance/redundancy benefits. The affected staff have now decided and gone ahead to institute legal action against diamond bank at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Jos division.

Hearing of the case has been fixed for the 4th of April 2017. It is really worrisome seeing a bank that appears to hold integrity in high esteem flagrantly disregard labour laws in carrying out such exercise in a most wicked manner. Hopefully, the outcome of this case will make organizations operating in the country who hire and fire at will without recourse to the extant labour laws of the land to start acting responsibly.

THE Worst that can happen to anyone is seeing your offer letter after months of commitments and hardwork but you cant meet one of the major conditions[guarantor].

Hello bro,

Please clarify, are guarantors required to be provided when submitting application or after loan approval i.e. after collecting offer letter?

Thanks and happy new year

thats exactly what I am doing. but because somebody have already used the app on the phone previously, it telling me I can't use my account on the phone.

Oh ok!
Then get the person using the phone before to transfer his/her app to his/her new smartphone (ff the procedure already described) Once he/she does that, U'll just need to register ur own profile on the phone afresh.
I'm afraid that's the only way you can use ur account on the phone. In fact no amount of formatting will allow you register ur profile on the phone except the previous user transfers his/her profile to another phone.

I'm certain this will resolve the issue

so how did you later get around your problems. I am experiencing such now and there is no help from customer service.
If what OP described is exactly what u're experiencing, its very simple to sort out.
Open the app on ur new device
Don't enter ur login details, instead look for the icon "changed device"
Select and also select "register on a new device"
Then provide ur login details ; username, password and pin
Submit
You'll then receive(via SMS) a new registration code
Key in the registration code and you'll be logged in to the app.

It sounds strange that you were told to format ur phone at the bank

Edwinmason:
well from my own understanding...God said give me my ten percent he didnt say give to the poor.....paying ur tithe and helping the poor are 2 different things entirely

After reading this comment of yours, I can't but wonder if tithes collected by pastors are sent to God in heaven. If you are truly a christian as your comment suggests, you really need to go back and study your bible very well.

You see, giving to the needy, the poor, orphans and pastors that really need it are all different ways of giving to God. it is fraudulent to claim that paying your tithe(to a pastor) and helping the poor are 2 different things entirely except if you can prove that tithes paid are not spent by humans but sent directly to God.

I'm a christian by the way, but I don't take whatever message a pastor preaches hook line and sinker like most people who claim to be christians do. I read my bible after every service attended and sift out whatever I hear in the service that do not conform with it.
