daluu129: hi peeps, please its on the media that NOUN was listed among the 41 illegal universities in Nigeria. please does anyone have any information on that. if the information is true, then whats the way forward now...Madam, OUN is different from NOUN. D illegal institution listed is named 'Open University of Nigeria' and not 'National Open University of Nigeria'. Details here http://www.nou.edu.ng/noun/announcements/FAKE%20INSTITUTIONS.html |

Immanuelar:Alright, NOUN unlike conventional universities admit & matriculate students every semester. If u decide 2 join nxt semester, students who were matriculated yesterday'l be in their 2nd semester while u'l be in ur 1st semester. U might want 2 check out www.noun.edu.ng & www.nou.edu.ng 4 further info about d university. |

Politics / Re: Dangote Secures $4.25 Billion Loan To Build Refinery In Nigeria by ol2012: 5:13pm On May 09, 2013 |
Hardfact: Sounds nice on the surface. It'll make more sense if many more will be given license in like manner so avoid the monopoly which likes of Dangote have long been enjoying in other areas while the people are left at their mercy.Sir, Obasanjo's govt issued eighteen(18) private refinery licenses but, after several years, only d one in anambra(orient) is under construction. D issue is not about giving more licenses but providing a regulatory framework which ensures private investments in refineries and allied industries are profitable. Dats part of what d PIB presently in d national assembly seeks 2 address. Dangote being a very smart investor knows fully well dat every issue about dat would av been resolved b4 2016 when his refinery is xpected 2 come on stream. |

glorious star: if am nt ready for exams dis semester, can i register d courses and do d exams nxt semester? Wat is d implication of nt registering for any course at all dis semester? Sm1 pls help me out am confused!2 answer ur 1st question, Yes u can do d exams nxt semester only if u do not attempt TMAs & as well do not register 4 exams dis semester. U know course registration is different from exam registration. As 4 d 2nd question, as far as I know, there ar no implications. In my own case, I applied & was offered admission in Dec 2011, did clearance in January 2012. I could not commence studies last yr 4 personal reasons & just did 1st semester course registration last month. Ofcourse there were no implications as I already knew I av up 2 six semesters 4 a four semester course. Though I already downloaded all my course materials 4 d entire programme in January & av been studying even b4 registering 4 dis semester's course last month. 1 Like |

kekakuz:Do u know d no of students NOUN currently has? Dat u'r not prepared does not mean others ar not ma. Some of us downloaded course materials 4 dis semester Jan & av bin studying hard since then. If u know u'r not prepared 4 exams dis semester, simply don't bother 2 register 4 exams & don't attempt TMA's. Its as simple as dat as no 1 will penalise u 4 dat. Dats d flexibility u enjoy which is not available in conventional universities |
