Learnt they want him to train and prove his match fitness for first team duties. This will push morata more and he will probably learn one or two things he lacks from costa. Do you think it is a nice move bringing a disruptive element like Costa into the first team? Although, I believe that Conte made a mess of the situation. Costa is a lunatic though... Pataki: Wenger truly seems to be ruthless this season.
Sanchez being offered that ridiculous amount.
Wilshere pushed to start training with the U23.
Cech is not guaranteed as 1st choice goalkeeper.
Squeezing Benitez by his balls to pay if he wants Perez.
Wenger's latest acquisitions has been men of steel not players that can easily be bullied on the field.
Match day is just a few hours away. Curious to see if this ruthless attitude will be displayed against Leicester.

SIRcumalot: I don't want bale near this club, make he rot for Madrid bench..
tomorrow win go do serious wonder for our boys confidence especially for UCL games,i want make we win that trophy I thought i was the only one sceptical about the possibility of signing Bale. Don't get me wrong, he is explosive and very good with an excellent knowledge about the EPL plus top UCL winning experience. My problem is with his style of play in relation to his extremely fragile body and age. He was unable to start up to 20 matches in a relatively easier league in terms of intensity and fixture congestion. Also, he would most likely cost around 90M pounds. I don't think that will be a wise investment. We can get highly talented players such as Dembele and Forsberg for less. We could also work with what We have and target Carrasco for next summer. |

BlueAngel444: 1 of Neymar's shirt sold for £140, If PSG sells @least 1million shirts (of course it will more) that's £140m, plus the popularity, full stadiums and prestige that comes with it.
A world class player is 1. First team club and country 2. Great following internationally 3. Won prestigious titles and honors 4. Marketable and popular among football fans I don't know where you got your figures from, for your information football jerseys are sold at a range of prices irrespective of the name on it. Football jerseys are sold for between 110 euros to 50 euros depending on the quality of the jersey. Original jerseys worn by players are sold for 110 euros, origina replicas for 80 to 90 euros and, lastly grade B replicas for between 50 to 60 euros (sportdirect and co.). Also, football clubs usually get about 30 to 40% of revenue generated from jersey sales with the lion share going to the kit makers, in the case of PSG, Nike. The probability that Neymar's total shirt sales would exceed a milion pieces is extremely low. Last season Man United sold the most jerseys, 2.5M pieces while Madrid and Barca sold around 2M. |

Eruditor: Intelligent debate but slightly disingenuous.
The 17 years of Mou's coaching history involves Benfica, UD Leira and Porto 3 Clubs which at the time had less than the spending capacity of QPR or Portsmouth Circa 2000-2004. That is 4 years off the 17 years you stated.
Your maths should have been 1.229Billion/13 years. That is, 94.5 MILLION PER YEAR.
So yes, Mou spends more per year. Hehehe... Pep fan, this particular post gives credence to the notion that Mou is a better manager. He won trophies such as the UCL and a league title with teams that are not traditional big spenders nor elite European team. Pep couldn't do the same at Bayern or City. Food for thought. |

nateevs: Hehe. Figures mate, figures! Given that statistically, a whole league sells about 5m to 6m shirts per season, how can you justify that? The clubs with the highest selling number of shirts are probably Barcelona, Bayern, United, Madrid and Chelsea. I bet no one of them sells more than 2m shirts per season. Given that most of these shirts sell between £35 and £80 and at an average £50 per shirts, the highest earners make an estimated £100m per season from combined team shirt sales. This is Real Madrid level sales.
Even if Neymar makes up for a whopping 70% shirt sales in a 1.5m (grossly overstated sales number) for PSG; at £50 per shirt, he would make no more that £75m per season. The catch though is that about 70-80% of those sales go to Adidas/Nike, leaving PSG with a paltry £15m/year from Neymar's estimated shirt sales.
Look at the figures mate! Double the figures if you like, triple the sales if you want, how can Neymar ever pay back €222m transfer fee over, let alone the reported £200m salary over 5 years? Neymar will need to be pusing PSG shirt sales to about 5m shirts a year to stand any chance of ever repaying his transfer fee. To put things in perspective, the whole of the Premier league sells no more than 5m shirts.
How do you make such declaration with a straight face? Finally... someone willing to talk figures!! In respect of shirt sales... the likes of United, Barca and Madrid have been hitting approx 2M or more in the past three seasons. PSG sold around 650K. Neymar was no 11 on the list of players with the highest number of shirt sales. It will not be wrong to project that Bevan push PSG shirt sales to around 1M per season. Football jerseys of top clubs are sold for 80 to 90 quids. If we assume that Neymar would sell about half a million that is about 40M. You are correct that the kit makers get around 70% of shirt sales revenue, 30% of 40M will account for 12M per year on jersey sales alone. Neymar's market pull and fame in South America and Asia should conveniently provide an increment of close to 20M per season if Man United without a player as marketable as Neymar is able to pull about around 130M per year. Lastly, if you consider that top clubs such as Madrid and United usually get about 30 to 40% of total value of their players individual endorsement, we should be looking at another 20M or more. In total that will be approximately 50M per year based on his presence without taking into consideration on-field related earnings. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2269599/Manchester-Uniteds-incredible-list-sponsors-helping-3billion-super-club.htmlhttps://www.google.fi/amp/s/hypebeast.com/2016/11/football-club-players-with-most-shirt-sales-2016%3famp=1 |

BlueAngel444: Some peeps are wondering how can Mbappe be £160 well if Morata £70 n Lukaku £90 (£110 if u add rooney). For an 18year old champion with 26goals, dey ain't so crazy (as d market) after all.
Every new player is a risk, no matter how consistent der past might be.... (neymar for €222 is also a risk)
All of currencies re in million. If you don't understand the Rooney deal take several seats and don't act a foool. Rooney had 2 years left on a 300K a week contract which translates to about 15M per year. For two years that is about 30M on wages alone excluding bonuses. United paid Rooney 10M to get him off the club's books. So how on earth did you get the extra 20M on the Lukaku deal?? Sometimes the level of ignorance and understanding on display here is appalling. If you want to troll, troll with class. Again.. Concerning Neymar you also do not understand the business of football. There is little or no risk in the Neymar signing from a financial perspective. Dude is a money making machine, he is extremely marketable especially in Latin America and Asia. Mbappe for anything more than 50M pounds is a poor investment. Scoring 26 league goals playing in the French league is not a major achievement. Although he is extremely talented with huge potential. I think he needs to replicate the same performance and stats for at least one more season. |
