Dibiachukwu: Nigerians in Nigeria are even too different and don't have similar dna. Igbos don't have any thing to do with any other nation. Except God's begotten nation . Igbo is made in gold. Yous are akamu. For the last time you ignoramuses. Nigeria is a country, not a nation. We don't have the same ancestry.

A GIRL’S FIRST TIME

It’s your first time. As you lie back,
your muscle tightens. You put him
off for a while searching for an
excuse, but he refuses to be swayed
as he approaches you. He asks if
you’re afraid and you shake your head bravely. He has had more
experience, but it’s the first time his
finger has found the right place. He
probes deeply and you shiver; your
body tenses but he’s gentle like he
promised he’d be. He looks deeply within your eyes and tells you to
trust him he’s done this many times
before. His cool smile relaxes you
and you open wider to give him
more room for an easy entrance.
You begin to plead and beg him to hurry, but he slowly takes his time,
wanting to cause you as little pain
as possible. As he presses closer,
going deeper, you feel the tissue
give way; pain surges throughout
your body and you feel the slight trickle of blood as he continues. He
looks at you concerned and asks you
if it’s too painful. Your eyes are filled
with tears but you shake your head
and nod your head for him to go on.
He begins going in and out with skill but you are too numb to feel him
within you. After a few moments,
you feel something bursting within
you and he pulls it out of you. You
lay panting, glad to have it over. He
looks at you and smiling warmly, tells you, with a chuckle that you
have been his most stubborn yet
most rewarding experience. You
smile and thank your dentist. After
all, it was your first time to have a
tooth pulled..

HEAVEN IS REAL..REPENT...lol

Education / Unilorin Unilag, Uniben Win Essay Competition by oladapoa1(m): 7:01am On Oct 04, 2013
A student of the University of Ilorin, Alao
Ibrahim, emerged second runner-up in the 2013
edition of the Chartered Institute of Personnel
Management (CIPM) Essay Competition. The 300-level student came after first prize
winner Wright Damilola of University of Lagos
and first runner-up Uzoigwe Chimezie of
University of Benin. The contest featured 107 undergraduates. A final
seven contestants defended their essay on
"Youth empowerment and development drive:
An invaluable step to secure Nigeria's future
prosperity" in September. The 300-level student and head of the Union of
Campus Journalists earlier won an essay contest
run by the online resource Naija Writers' Coach
this April. Ibrahim said winning the contest was breaking
new ground. "The information about the 2013
edition got to me in early June when I had to go
sleepless for several nights to prepare for my
second semester exams," he said. "Intuitively, I couldn't work on the essay until
after the exams. So while my colleagues were
returning home after a successful academic
session, I waited behind to commence the 20-
page work. I submitted my entry few days
before the deadline in July. Then in August I was invited for the Essay Defence slated for 6th
September and after the defence I was
announced as the 2nd runner-up." Last year, another Unilorin student Muhammed
Tosin was among winners of the annual contest. Zimbabwe: U.S.$21 Million

Education / Unilorin Dons Break Major Biometric Machine Riddle by oladapoa1(m): 6:53am On Oct 04, 2013
A team of engineers at the University of Ilorin
has produced a prototype biometric machine that
is capable of eliminating a major deficiency
encountered by imported machines. The team leader, Prof. Tunji Samuel Ibiyemi of the
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department,
said that with the use of local content, the
researchers have been able to unravel the
challenge of the inability of the imported
biometric machine to adequately recognise physical features of black people. Prof. Ibiyemi disclosed that imported solutions to
the challenges of impersonation, economic fraud,
multiple voting, examination malpractices,
election rigging, and security challenge do not
work optimally among black people as they do
among white people, adding that “what we have just produced one that works better for blacks.” The don, whose research effort was sponsored
by the World Bank-assisted Science and
Technology Education Post-Basic (Step-B) Project,
explained that “this lack of local content in the
making of the machines we use for vital national
assignments perhaps explain why government efforts on projects like e-voting, national identity
card scheme, security intelligence on criminal
citizens had not been yielding enough fruits.” Prof. Ibiyemi led a team of three other
researchers, Prof. J. Sadiku of Computer Science
Department, Dr. S. A. Aliu and Dr. I. O. Avazi of
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department,
to study ‘Biometric Signal Processing for Personal
Application and Forensic Application’. The Professor of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering said, “An average Chinese recognises
Chinese people more easily. Likewise, Americans
know one another better. When I was in Britain,
any black person could pick any of his friend’s
identity card and go anywhere across the country unfettered. Those working at the
airports will confirm to you that you need local
people to identify one another. “Most imported machines don’t recognise tribal
marks. These machines raise alarm when they
see a masked face. But what we have produced
can recognise tribal marks, faces that are masked
and faces that are disguised using cosmetics.” Prof. Ibiyemi pointed out that the machines
developed by his team are not only more cost-
effective than their imported equivalents, they
are also more functionally efficient. He said, “For
instance, after our proposal was approved for
funding and we were experiencing delays in accessing the money, we funded the
development of a locally made Iris Scanner at
N60, 000. But when we eventually got money to
buy this equipment, we got it for N400, 000 (that
is 2,500 US dollars). And the former produces
sharper and clearer images than the latter.” He explained further, “Besides this, we used
machines (computers) to recognise the human
face, human iris, finger prints, toe prints and sole
prints. We worked on speaker and speech
recognition, signature verification and hand
writing verification. “What we found is amazing. For example, using
any of these parameters, we can get different
patterns of iris, fingerprints, toeprints, soleprints
that differentiate the 14 billion people in the
world. No two persons have the same pattern for
any of these parameters. In fact, the left iris pattern for an individual is different from the
right side for the same individual. Similarly, the
thumb print is different from the index
fingerprint for each person and so on. “No website is available within Africa for
biometric data on black people. Foreign data are
populated by white people. We needed black
people’s data to work with, so we started our
own website-www.unilorin.edu.ng/step-b/
biometrics. “We collected over one million fingerprints,
600,000 toeprints, 200 soleprints, and 374 latent
fingerprints. The website is hosted in Italy. We
also went to the home of lepers and took 200
soleprints. When we brought them to the
laboratory, we discovered that it is easier to recognise people through their soleprints than
through their fingerprints. “Our fingerprint equipment will identify each
individual. We can detect multiple voting. There
are five groupings of finger prints. Using one
million samples, we compared our result with US-
based Federal Bureau of Intelligence (FBI) result,”
he said.

Politics / PHCN Workers Protest In Akure, Demand For Payment Of Entitlements by oladapoa1(m): 3:12pm On Sep 30, 2013
Members of the National Union of Electricity
Employees (NUEE), Ondo State chapter, today staged a peaceful protest to express their grievances over the failure of the federal government to pay their
entitlements before handing over the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) to private investors. The workers who locked the gate of the PHCN district Headquarters in Akure
warned private investors not to enter into any agreement with the federal government until their outstanding
entitlements were paid. Carrying placards with various inscriptions,
the PHCN staff faulted the claim made by the federal government that their entitlements have been paid, saying the claim was a propaganda employed by government to deceive members of the public. They also complained
about the non-payment
of gratuities to some of their colleagues who retired in 2011. Speaking on behalf of the protesters, the Chairman of Akure chapter of the Union, Mr. Clement Daudu and the Vice President,
Senior Staff Association
of Electricity and Allied Companies, Mr. Neke
Nwanchukwu said the Union members will not resume work until their
entitlements were paid to them. Mr. Nwanchukwu said, “We are not against
privatization of PHCN, but we want the federal government to pay our
entitlements. “We are not going to resume work until our entitlements are paid. We are warning the investors to steer clear the
agreement for now because if they go ahead, they are going to pay
dearly for it”.
