CelebritiesAlleged Defilement: We Were Acting Movie Script In Viral Video ― Baba Ijesha by Oladat(op): 8:45am On Mar 05, 2022
Nollywood actor, Olarewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha, on Friday testified before an Ikeja Special Offences Court that he was acting a script in the viral video with a minor.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Baba Ijesha made this revelation while being led in evidence by the defence counsel, Dada Awosika (SAN).

Baba Ijesha told the court that the foster mother of the minor, Ms Damilola Adekoya, a comedian also known as Princess, had called and requested him to be part of the movie production.

“On April 19, 2021, Princess sent me a message that she wanted to start a production and she would like me to play the role of a lover boy which I replied ‘okay’.

“She said I was to play the role of a lover boy adding that she wanted to surprise people that I can also play normal roles.

“She said the story is about rape and she wanted to tell the story in another dimension,” he said.

The defence counsel tendered before the court, a printout of WhatsApps message between Princess and the defendant, which was admitted into evidence by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo.

The embattled actor said he asked Princess for the movie location but she told him to come over to her house.

“Before I entered, Princess met me at the balcony that the movie production was a Lagos State project, adding that the state wanted her to be the face of ‘anti child molestation.’

“She told me to improvise and create a story by myself. I told her the house was dark when I entered. She said we should rehearse that she would use her phone.

“Princess told me to kiss and suck the breast of the child, adding that the dress the girl was wearing was purposely for the role the girl wanted to play.

“She would leave the room so that the child would not be shy to play out the role.

“All those things we are seeing in that video is just acting. My lord check my record when it comes to acting, I can kill myself and die for acting. She was the one directing and filming my angles,” he said.

Baba Ijesha told the court that himself and Princess were directors of the movie, adding that she told him he could act out the scene in the kitchen as well.

“She told me I could go into the kitchen as well. She told the girl in question you remember what I told you, when I leave the room now, act out your role perfectly.

“The girl removed my shoe and I started acting out my role. I romanced her based on the movie role Princess gave me.

“As I was acting with the girl, kissing and licking her fingers, I was also whispering to her ‘hey do not look at the camera’.

“Suddenly, I saw like eight people including Princess, entered the room and started beating the girl.

“I even thought it was part of acting. She beat her and said ‘idiot is that what I asked you to do’. One of the men gave me a blow and alleged that I raped the girl,” he said.

The defendant further told the court that he was shocked when he was being beaten and thought that the men who meted out the beating were amateur actors because they are not meant to use actual physical violence in movie scenes.

Baba Ijesha said that he was forced in one of the viral videos by Princess to admit that he defiled the minor.

“Princess said “you know I love you, just tell me that seven years ago you used your car key to disvirgin the girl” that she would allow me to go if I said so.

“I had to accept under pressure so that the men would not injure me the more, after Princess invited one police officer named Abigail, before I was taken to Sabo Police Station after,” he told the court.

The defendant said he was forced to sign a statement which was not written by him at the police station.

“The statement in question profiled me because I have all my information online and Princess knows all my information as well.

“Immediately, Abigail asked me to sign and I did just that, she took me back to the cell and I stayed there till the following morning,” he said.

Under cross-examination by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, Dr Babajide Martins, the defendant admitted to have known the girl since she was seven.

He added that he did not inform the Police at Sabo and Panti, respectively that they were acting.

“I did not inform the policemen that we were acting because I was not myself.

“I also did not inform them at the two police stations that Princess and I were in a relationship,” he said.

Probing Baba Ijesha further, Martins said: “While you were being beaten, you said you thought that they were amateur actors because of the actual violence.

“Since you said it was a movie script, so you are not meant to mimic sexual assault on an underage child?”

Baba Ijesha in his response said the scenes he acted with the minor were appropriate.

The defendant is facing a six-count charge bordering on indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo adjourned the case until March 11 for continuation of defence.

Nollywood actor, Ugezu J Ugezu, has stirred reactions after he shared his opinion on doing a DNA test to confirm the paternity of a child.

Taking to his Instagram page on Monday, February 21, the thespian noted that the issue of DNA has tore many homes apart. According to him, carrying out a DNA test on a child is not an African thing.

He noted that any child who calls an African man father is an African man’s child, and that was how our forefathers lived their lives and enjoyed peace of mind.

“A child who calls an African man father is an African man’s child. Period. This DNA thing is not really an African thing. A child born to an African man is the African man’s child. Our fathers held this belief and enjoyed peace of mind. This DNA stuff is tearing many homes apart and destroying many innocent children. In THINGS FALL APART, the mother Earth rose against Okonkwo for killing the child who called him father. THINK!”. He wrote.

The third paragraph of the article reads:"In the petition sent to the police and other security agencies, the family called for an investigation to be conducted regarding Olunloyo’s claim that their son was a cult member among others."
Now, the key phrase in that paragraph is "called for an investigation to be conducted".
I hope you can now understand that the import of the petition is for the security agencies to INVESTIGATE the allegation of Kemi and NOT to ARREST her? Good. You don't need to thank me.

Foreign AffairsUk Government To Issue Temporary Visas For Lorry And Tanker Drivers by Oladat(op): 8:25pm On Sep 27, 2021
The government is introducing temporary visas for 5,000 fuel tanker and food lorry drivers to work in the UK in the run-up to Christmas.

It has faced calls to do so for several weeks, amid growing concerns about deliveries of food and fuel.

The government has resisted those calls until now, with Transport Secretary Grant Shapps previously saying: "We do have to stand on our own two feet as the United Kingdom".

The shortage of HGV drivers is due to a combination of Covid, Brexit and other factors.

How serious has the problem become?
A Road Haulage Association (RHA) survey of its members estimates there is now a shortage of more than 100,000 qualified drivers in the UK.

That number includes thousands of drivers from European Union (EU) member states who were previously living and working in the UK.

Survey findings showing time taken to fill HGV driver vacancies
The Annual Population Survey produced by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimates that there were 16,000 fewer EU nationals working as HGV drivers in the year ending March 2021, than in the previous year.

Even before Covid, the overall estimated shortage was about 60,000 drivers.

Why now?
Covid is certainly part of the problem. As travel became increasingly restricted last year, and large parts of the economy shut down, many European drivers went home. And haulage companies say very few have returned.

The pandemic also created a large backlog in HGV driver tests, so it's been impossible to get enough new drivers up and running.

The industry warned the prime minister in June that there were 25,000 fewer candidates passing their test in 2020 than in 2019.

What about Brexit?
There are HGV driver shortages across Europe, but in the UK Brexit has made things worse.

Many European drivers who went back to their home countries, or decided to work elsewhere, are unable to return.

When the UK was part of the EU single market, they used to be able to come and go as they pleased.

But new immigration rules mean that is no longer the case.

There is also new bureaucracy, and the decline in the value of the pound against the euro since the Brexit vote has made working in the UK less attractive for EU nationals.

The strain on the freight transport system comes before Britain imposes checks on goods coming in from the EU. They have now been delayed until next year - some in January, others in July.

If they prove too intrusive, that could make it even more difficult to encourage European drivers to work in this country. Many drivers are paid by the mile or kilometre rather than by the hour, so delays cost them money.

Tax and conditions
There have also been tax changes making it more expensive for drivers from elsewhere in Europe to work or be employed in the UK.

The reform of the IR35 rules - on how people working off the payroll pay tax - are designed to prevent workers setting up limited companies and paying less tax and National Insurance while working, in effect, as an employee.

Survey findings about why there are driver shortages
Haulage companies say the average age of HGV drivers in the UK is 55, and they want more to be done to attract younger workers.

Why is there a shortage of lorry drivers?
Backlash against longer hours for lorry drivers
That includes better terms and conditions, better facilities for long distance drivers to use, and a recognition that they are a vital part of the economy.

One consequence of shortages, though, has been that some wages for drivers are already going up.

Craig Stevens, managing director at STD Developments LtdCraig Stevens
The drivers can command more money - the profitability of the transport industry is very small in normal circumstances and that means we'll have to up prices for our customers

What about Northern Ireland?
Like other parts of the UK, Northern Ireland is short of HGV drivers but there haven't been fuel shortages because it is not experiencing the same acute problems with tanker drivers.

Northern Ireland was less reliant on drivers from the EU so has been less impacted by those workers no longer being available. An industry source says tanker driving tends to have better pay and working hours, so it is sought after by local drivers.

Geography also works in Northern Ireland's favour - it's not much more than 100 miles wide so supply chains can't get as stretched as they are in the rest of the UK.

Northern Ireland is to a large extent served by the same refineries as the rest of the UK. For example, Texaco ships fuel from its refinery in Pembroke to a storage facility at Belfast Harbour.

But Northern Ireland has no more access to EU workers such as HGV drivers than other parts of the UK.

What about the rest of Europe?
According to data collected by Transport Intelligence, Poland was short of more than 120,000 drivers last year, while in Germany between 45,000 and 60,000 were needed. New figures are expected in the coming weeks.

Chart showing HGV job ads rising across European countries
But shortages in other countries are having less impact than in the UK.

Other European countries can call upon a much larger pool of labour in the EU single market, with the guarantee of free movement. In the UK, that flexibility is no longer available, and the labour shortage is affecting other industries as well - from food processing to fruit picking.

What is being done about shortages?
As well as allowing more foreign workers into the UK from October, Ministry of Defence examiners will be brought in to increase the number of HGV driving tests.

There will be free intensive 'boot camps' to train 3,000 people to become HGV drivers, with another 1,000 to be trained through courses funded by the adult education budget.

The government is also writing to nearly one million drivers who hold an HGV licence to encourage them to return to the industry.

There have been warnings about fruit and vegetable deliveries because of driver shortages
It has also slightly relaxed the Drivers' Hours rules, which means drivers will be able to increase their daily driving limit from nine hours to 11 hours twice a week.

A government spokesperson said longer journeys "must only be used where necessary and must not compromise driver safety".

And there is £7,000 per person funding for the Large Goods Vehicle Driver apprenticeship scheme.

FamilyTwin Sisters Impregnated By Their Mother's Fiancé In Nasarawa, Welcome Babies by Oladat(op): 4:51pm On Jul 03, 2021
Sacrilege in Nasarawa as twin sisters get pregnant for their mother’s lover

*They lured me to sleep with them, says errant lover
*First twin sister: I couldn’t resist his swag
*Second twin sister: First time was amazing, I demanded another round
*I can’t be alive to see this shame — Distraught mother

It all sounds like a scene in Nollywood movie, but it is as real as daylight. Twin sisters had a baby each two months apart for a man their mother was dating and planned to marry after losing her husband in one of the incidents of the farmers/herders crisis that has rocked Nasarawa and other neighbouring states in recent times.

Thoroughly embarrassed by the ugly spectacle, the distraught mother of the twin sisters, Mrs Alice Ukange, is threatening to take her own life, saying that she cannot be alive to see “the shame” meted out to her by Philomina and Patricia.

Both Philomina, who was delivered of a baby girl in January, and Patricia, who was delivered of a baby boy in March, insist that they were impregnated by Mr Augustine Angwe, who had been dating their mother, Alice, since she lost her husband, Francis Ukange, after 14 years in marriage.

The couple were said to have been blessed with the twin sisters about four years after they got married. And with the death of Ukange, Alice resorted to combining farming with petty trading in order to make ends meet.

With life becoming extremely hard for Alice and her daughters, they relocated to Assakyo, a suburb community in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital, where she started buying raw food items from local farmers and selling same to make some money.

With this, she was able to send her twins to a public school in Assakyo and the family appeared to have found their feet until a wolf in sheep clothing found its way into their fold.

The poor mother had met Mr. Angwe, an indigene of Vandeikya Local Government Area, Benue state, in 2017 while the latter was in Nasarawa State to transact his business, which was buying raw food items from the local farmers and taking them to the Southeast to sell at higher prices.

In the course of doing the same business, Angwe and Alice met in a local market in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State and they struck a relationship which within three months blossomed to the point that Alice relocated from Assakyo to stay with Augustine in Lafia where he had paid for an apartment.

In no time, Angwe, who had lost his wife and two kids in a fatal accident on Katsina Ala Road in Benue State and was yet to remarry, became a part of the family, rendering finance assistance to Alice’s female twins to meet their basic needs; a development that soon drew the twins very close to him.

Later, Angwe and Alice began a joint business, buying yams from local farmers in Nasarawa State and transporting them for sales at higher price in Lagos and Port Harcourt. The business flourished with Alice always on the road while Angwe took care of the home front and made arrangements for new stocks.

Meanwhile, one of the twin sisters, Philomina, had completed her secondary school and secured admission into the College of Education Akwanga to do a Pre-NCE programme while Patricia remained in Lafia for a diploma programme at the Nasarawa State Polytechnic.

Now a father figure to the twin sisters, Angwe allegedly started enticing them with luxury items and seized the chance to sleep with them at different locations until he got both of them pregnant.

Lamenting her condition in an interview with our correspondent, Alice said: “The man (Angwe) encouraged me and gave me some money to run this yam business, going from Nasarawa to Port Harcourt and Lagos. So I was always away and he took them as his own children. Little did I think that he could lure them to sleep with him.”

Alice believes that Angwe might have used a charm on her daughters to get them to sleep with him, saying: “How he was able to start sleeping with them so easily is what I don’t know. At 22 years, my twins are no longer kids. They are fully aware that the man is dating me.”

“It is unthinkable and unbelievable. He was visiting Philomina in Akwanga and using the opportunity to sleep with her in a hotel. He enticed her with luxury items and bought her a big phone. Back in Lafia, he was also sleeping with Patricia using the same tricks.

“I was always away on business trips while he stayed behind, looking for local yams to buy. When I noticed that they were both pregnant, they refused to tell me who was responsible for them.

“Before the untimely death of their father, he had warned them never to do an abortion, saying that any of them who tried to abort a pregnancy would die. The essence of it was to scare them so they would not destroy themselves early.

“So when the idea of aborting the unwanted pregnancy was mooted, the thought of their late father’s words came and we all became afraid. They also refused to disclose the person that was responsible. So out of anger, I left them alone.

“Incidentally, Mr Augustine (Angwe) too was asking me to leave them alone, saying that they would make their confessions at their own time. But one month, two months, three months and four months passed without them identifying the person. That was how they carried the pregnancies for nine months and were delivered of babies.” Shocking revelation

Alice recalled that two months the second of the twin sisters was delivered of her own baby, Angwe woke her up one night and broke to her the news that he was actually responsible for their pregnancies and that the new born babies belonged to him.

“I broke down in tears and cried for a whole week. I asked him what I had done to deserve this wicked act. It is a shame that my own fiancé is the father of my twins’ babies. How would I explain this shameful development to people?

“My husband was killed with members of his entire family when herdsmen invaded their village and cleared everybody in the village. We had travelled to Lafia for some medication and were the only surviving people in the family.

“I met Augustine as a gentle, nice and humble man. He treated me like my late husband. He cared so much about my twins. But he ended up ruining our lives. How can you be sleeping with me and my twin children at the same time?”

Our correspondent had got hint of the development early last month (June), but getting the parties involved in the matter to speak was a herculean task until he met Alice in Awe Market where she had gone to buy yams and she obliged to speak about it.

She said: “My name is Alice Ukange. I am a widow. I lost my husband here in Awe during the herdsmen/farmers crisis some years back. I met one Augustine Angwe in the course of my business. One thing led to another and we started dating ourselves.

“He appeared to be gentle, humble and kind. I was carried away and I allowed my twins to be close to him. He took time and planted evil in my house by impregnating them. “They have now given birth. I allowed it because their father warned them not to do abortion and that they would die if they did.

“Augustine has finished me. He slept with me, slept with my twins and impregnated them, and they have given birth for him.

“I am confused and have informed one of my late husband’s relatives and he too is speechless.

“Going to the police would not solve the problem as the damage has been done already. There is nothing the police can do, more so that Augustine is ever ready to take care of them. But the big question remains how a man would marry twin sisters.”

In a chat with or correspondent in Lafia, Angwe admitted impregnating the twin sisters, saying that he would have aborted the pregnancies but they insisted on keeping them. He also said the girls in question were the ones who lured him into sleeping with them.

He said: “I didn’t know that they would get pregnant. But when they did, I wanted them aborted but they refused, saying that their father warned them against it.

“My brother, these girls were actually the ones who lured me into sleeping with them. They enjoyed it the first time we had it. From what started like a joke, it became a regular thing.

“I know I have deeply hurt the mother but it has happen and there is nothing anybody can do. That is the work of the devil and I wholeheartedly accepted responsibility so as not to ruin their lives. They can pick up the pieces of their lives and move on after nursing the babies.

“To avoid the shame, I moved them to Makurdi. I will take care of the little babies. And if their mothers want to go to school after the babies might have walked, they can continue and I will support them. If they don’t want to stay with me, I will take my children while they continue with their lives.

“I have been begging the mother since I disclosed this information to her that I am responsible for it and I will take care of it, but she is still angry. I know that what I did was wrong. It is a taboo, but it is late to correct it.”

Our correspondent also travelled from Lafia to Makurdi to meet one of the twin sisters, Philomina, who was seeing nursing her new born baby.

Philomina said she was in a dilemma, adding that she wished that all that had happened to her never did. She added that both she and her twin sister, Patricia, were in agony.

She said: “I can’t really explain how I found myself here. I didn’t know that the man was sleeping with my twin sister too. I know that he was dating my mother, but how he got to impregnate me, I don’t know.

“I think I have made one of the biggest mistakes ever. How did I get here? Augustine (Angwe) is my mum’s lover and I know it quite well. But every time he came visiting me in Akwanga, I just had this feeling. He is very attractive and there is a unique swag about him.

“I started messing with him in Akwanga. There was a time he came to Akwanga in the evening and decided to see me. My mum had travelled to Port Harcourt on a business trip. He called me to meet him in a beer palour and he was there alone drinking beer.

“We began to talk and I eased my way over to him. He was resistant at first, but that just made me more excited. I low key seduced him and our affair began. Every time my mum travelled, he would come over and have sex with me.

“I knew him when he started dating my mother and we were intimate right afterwards. So when I missed my period, it took me some time to disclose to him that he was responsible for it. I didn’t also know how to break the news to my mum

“Well, the worst has happened. My late father warned me not to do abortion and my child deserves to have a father. She will walk and I will return to school to pick up my life. That is all I have to say.

“As for getting married to him, she said it is not possible. I will further my education.”

Our correspondent also visited Gboko where Patricia was also nursing her new born baby boy.

She said: “The first day I had sex with Augustine, my mother went to Obi Market. It was in the morning. My mum left us at home. She forgot some money and returned to pick it.

“She almost caught us but I lied about it when she asked what we were doing. She suspected something, but the trust she has in Augustine convinced her.

“The thing is she got a glimpse of me while I was fixing my clothes up and asked why I got undressed in the morning hours.

“I told her I was trying out the new outfit I had just bought. In the whole of that time, Augustine was in the bathroom cooling off. She didn’t question me any further. She picked up her money and left.

“It was amazing. I see why my mum loves Augustine so much. So when she left, I decided we should have a second round, because I enjoyed it, and we continued at every little opportunity.

“When I missed my period, I was actually afraid to tell my mum that Augustine was responsible. I had thought about abortion to just mask everything, but remembering the warning our late father gave us about abortion, I decided to leave it.

“I have brought shame to my mother and the entire family. May God forgive all my sins. I never knew it would get to this level. I was doing it blindly and it has consumed me.”

On her future plans, she said she would hand the baby over to Angwe at the appropriate and move on with her life.

“I can’t marry him. I will nurture his son for him and walk away.”

Mr Clement Agbe, a relation to the late husband of Alice, said that what had happened in the family was strange to the culture of Tiv people.

“It is a taboo. But let’s see what the future holds for the new born babies. It is unthinkable.”

The Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Police Command, Mr. Rahman Nansel, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said the matter had not been reported to the command.

CrimeTravel Agent Nabbed For 4.2million Naira Visa Scam by Oladat(op): 7:53pm On Jun 29, 2021
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Kaduna State have arrested one Mrs Mary Olaleye, the promoter of Victoria Travels Resorts Limited, for allegedly obtaining N4,240,000 from two prospective travellers by false pretences.

A statement by the anti-graft agency’s Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, said Olaleye obtained the sum from Tochukwu Asika and Daniel Alabi on the pretext of procuring Canadian visas and making other travel arrangements for them.

The statement read in part, “The complainants alleged that sometime in 2018, they contacted the suspect to arrange a trip to the Turks and Caicos islands for them, for which they paid him the sum of N1m each.

“Two days to their departure, the suspect allegedly informed them that the trip had been put on hold and offered them an alternative of visas to Canada, which they accepted and paid a cumulative sum of N4,240,000 for the visas, consultancy fee and air tickets.

“The complainants further stated that after a long hiatus, the suspect called and Canadian visa and Yellow Fever cards were issued to them, and informed them that they would be travelling through Kenya. However, upon arrival in Kenya, they were arrested and detained by Immigration officials for possession of fake Yellow Fever cards.

“Upon their release from detention after being issued with new Yellow Fever cards, the duo made spirited efforts to contact the suspect to get her Kenyan representative to assist them with the connecting flight to Canada, but could not reach her as she had switched off her mobile lines. The complainants were later re-arrested by Kenyan Immigration and deported to Nigeria.”

Uwujaren added that the victims resorted to the EFCC when all efforts to retrieve their money proved abortive, adding that the suspect shunned several invitations by the Kaduna office of the anti-graft agency until a lien was placed on her account.

She was subsequently arrested at her bank in Abuja and brought back to Kaduna for further investigation.

According to the statement, the suspect will be charged as soon as investigation into the case is concluded.

PoliticsIgp’s Wife Threat On ‘beer Parlours' by Oladat(op): 2:09pm On Jun 08, 2021
I write to rebut the pathetic threat by the President of the Police Officers Wives’ Association and wife of the Inspector-General of Police, Hajia Hajara Usman Baba, to remove “beer parlours” in police barracks across the country.

“We are going to send signals immediately for the relocation of the ‘beer parlours’. If you don’t keep to it, you will be ejected out of the barracks,” she threatened recently. As a citizen of Nigeria, I feel somebody is trying to steal my rights hence, this write-up . How did we end up with a nation of power mongers? To think the woman is not even a police officer makes it more disturbing. What power has she to arrogate such a function to herself? These are the same police officers who escort her, and other supposed VIPs around and she woke up one day to issue a diktat.

Police officers are adults who have passed 18 years of age. Why is it the business of the IG’s wife if I decide to ingest paraffin or a solution of cement with battery water? The barracks offer shelter for a wide variety of police officers no matter their faith. Nigeria, the last time I checked, remains a secular state and so are police barracks. A fish is boiled by the same water it likes to hide in and the same gun that shields, also kills.

Nigeria is the reason why Africa is stagnated and all other countries looking up to Nigeria will be disappointed. Within the Nigerian space, as soon an inch of space is granted, they seek to take over the whole universe.

Nigeria has long tottered on the precipice. Unable to keep the country and her citizens safe, a new Sherriff has emerged from the ashes of the Nigeria Police Force and her immediate task is to control the use and movement of alcohol in the barracks. Nigeria is not even a failed state but a fully failed state trailing behind Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Central African Republic and Myanmar. In fully failed states, a lot of power is arrogated to individuals who have the grasping skills of a toddler.

Why is the IG’s wife not worried about the endemic corruption crippling the police, the skewed recruitment and promotion and the poor welfare status of serving police officers? What of the poor police widows whose husbands died on the line of duty and are only remembered when it is time to eject them out of the barracks? How is what I drink in the barracks her business?

Why is she not telling me what to cook and eat and at what time I should retire to bed? The IG’s wife is enforcing a nonexistent law and by extension arrogating to herself powers that she does not have. It is disheartening that husband and wife are in the business of arrogating distant powers to themselves. The husband is new on the job, has just been confirmed after being on acting capacity but his recent pronouncements are nothing to write home about.

Due to lack of what to do, the IG’s wife has embarked on a tour of police barracks. No problems but she is no law enforcer and has no right to do that. Instead, she is arrogating to herself the power that she does not possess. There is no inheritance even though some people think otherwise. This Macbeth must have been longing for this opportunity and she grabbed it with both hands.

Look at the way police stations across the country are going up in flames and the rank and file mauled on a daily basis.

A bottle of beer or two taken by these anguished police officers at the end of the day to calm their fraying nerves has become a national issue? Methinks that Madam Usman does not possess a faint understanding to engage in this type of business.

This threat sounds to me as absurd. Who do we blame this on?

TV/MoviesChris Iheuwa Escapes From Ritualists In Port Harcourt (Movie) by Oladat(op): 11:01pm On Jun 07, 2021
How I escaped from ritualists, by actor Chris Iheuwa

Nollywood actor Chris Iheuwa has narrated his narrow escape from ritualists, human organ harvesters and cultists in faraway Port Harcout, Rivers state.

The ‘La Femme Anjola’ actor, on June 4, 2021, narrated his ordeal in a long statement documenting his narrow escape.

Iheuwa recounted how someone had called him for a movie role in Port Harcourt, paid for his air fare and sent him a chauffeur-driven vehicle only for him to end up in a ritualist and human organs traders’ den.

The actor said he was lucky to have informed his friend, a police top shot ahead of his trip who also furnished details of his location when he became suspicious of the activities of the fake movie producers.

According to him: “Our moviemaking job takes us to various locations, towns, villages, States and in some cases countries.

“I had rounded up filming a flick with Biodun Stephen at Peaceville Estate in Thomas Estate within the neighborhood of Ajah inward Epe, outskirts of Lagos State and was heading home to the other side of town, Ikeja GRA to be precise, when I a call came through on my phone.

“Hello I bellowed, in my official voice to an unknown line or an unfamiliar number.

“Good afternoon Sir, is this Chris, please?” the female voice from the other end of the line enquired…somehow , there’s a ‘let your guards down’ effect the female folk voice has on men, I must confess , I am no exception.

“Yes , this is he …how can I help please…I enquired.

“My name is Ama Pepple, I am calling from Rumuola in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, a producer gave us your name and number, we are working on a movie project and would like for you to be part of it.

“Thank you for reaching out Ms Pepple, I responded…and in my usual manner I enquired … may I have the date, the script so I can go through before we discuss artiste fees.

“Ok Sir…” she responded.

“A week later, we agreed on date, artiste fees, costume and location for the shoot in PH, Rivers State.

“Days afterwards, I received a travel document on Air Peace for PH.

“I informed my people , gave them the details of the shoot and the officials , called my friend the Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers State that I was PH bound.

“Some hours later, we arrived PH and the Artiste Liaison Officer came to pick me from the airport or so I thought.

“I called my friend the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) and informed him of my presence in his precinct, he asked for the address and I asked the ALO who came for me, I noticed he was very hesitant to answer me but eventually blurted out the area albeit uncomfortably.

“The address I forwarded to my friend, a little over 30 minutes later we arrived what I observed to be a posh area behind D-Line in Rumuola an area in Obi-Akpor LGA in Rivers State.

“I noticed the area was very quiet and looked secluded and uninhabited, even in very bougeousy areas you’ll still find people even security men or Mallams selling stuff from their gatehouse windows.

“This didn’t go unnoticed to me and I discreetly forwarded my map pin to my friend the PPRO.

“Shortly after we arrived into a very affluent-looking apartment, the edifice itself looked uninhabited and had very few signs of human inhabitance.

“I did a panoramic view of the apartment, to my left, was a gatehouse and further down I saw a kernel with what looked like well-trained German Shepherd dogs all training their ferocious eyes on me.

“Further down, I saw a walkway with lush green lawns that seemed to stretch further than the eyes could see but also disappearing at a sudden curb as if it was meant to confuse one.

“To my right, I saw a couple of luxurious cars and a makeshift production bus hurriedly adorned with posters of movies past.

“A similar lawn with well-manicured lawns similar to the one to the right but with a cacophony of crisscrossed cactus and hibiscus flower pots littering the disappearing curve of the curb.

“As I was being ushered in, I quickly took some snaps of the environ and sent via WhatsApp to my friend not sure if the house had an inbuilt internet disabler.

“Inside was a lavishly decorated living room with gold trimmings and ornaments and a wall draping sandwiched by stock heads of wild animals hunted down for their precious horns and ivory tusks.

“I sat down and was immediately offered a choice of water , wine or beer.

“Totally jettisoning the subconscious alarms ringing in my head warning me to decline both, I innocently accepted a choice of cold water. I should have known better when it arrived , served by a lady who seemed unsure of herself and literarily shivering , again this should have warned me.

“After dropping the water off a glass cup on top of a very thick side table, she was summoned immediately but not before she gave me a very cold look filled with fear and danger alarms ringing, stupid me did not take note.

“I gulped down the water in one fell swoop and requested to see my co actors and the crew , at this time I was frighteningly alone until yet another steward , this time a much more assured looking male steward sundered in , picked up the remote control of a very wide tv set with similar dimensions of a vertically placed ping pong board, he turned it on and requested if I wanted to watch a Nollywood movie or a foreign one. I answered in the latter and allowed myself to be enveloped in the comfortably well made leather settee I had settled in.

“I requested for the bathroom as he was about to leave and also enquired about the other crew members and my co actors, he mumbled “they’ll see you shortly, and the right door to your left” to both my questions.

“I could have sworn I staggered to get up from my enveloping settee to navigate the bathroom as he described, feeling like I was staggering , I made for the white door with a male miniature emoji indicating boys room on the door.

“The bathroom had a 2′ x 2′ window installed and as I struggled with my quasi consciousness to unzip my fly, I could have sworn I heard voices speaking in hush tones deciding how much to make off my body parts.

“After I was done and flushed, which I later realised to be a mistake, I observed the hush toned voices had subsided and foot steps had taken over hurriedly leaving the bathroom window I had just used…

“I managed to send an SOS message to my friend fearing the worst and his urgent arrival to my rescue with a last minute message not to come alone.

“After I confirmed he had received the message and confirmation of his quick “Copy that, stay calm and do not give away your fears feedback” I quickly pocketed my phone, opened the door and fell straight into the arms of four heavily built men who started manhandling me and asking what I had heard, a quick upper court to my jugular by one of the men after series of migraine inducing slaps and punches and I passed out.

“I came to at the Air Force Medical Facility by Rumukrushi Road and my friend was there to assure me all was well. I had narrowly escaped a case of ritualists and cultists who were rampant in that side of PH.

“My friend told me I was lucky and my updates had made things easy for him and his men as well as the IGP anti- kidnapping Team who worked together to have me and about 20 other victims rescued.

“Sadly two other victims were not that lucky as they had been dismembered, butchered and their parts packed for human organ traders, dealers and merchants.”

He is very lucky it's not a black bear. Those mudafuckers don't care if you are alive or dead, they will tear right into you and start chowing. Don't even turn your back and try to run. A black bear can easily outrun you and also climb trees.

Brown bears are heavy duties but are fooled by the "playing dead" technique. Unless they are very hungry

Since we don't have bears here in Nigeria... We are kinda lucky
I totally disagree. I think it's the other way around; the bears are lucky for not being here. They would have been a good source of bushmeat!

The stupid South, you see how the Northerners & their media( Daily Trust) are fighting for for their own (Pantami). But, when it comes to a Southerner, all the media apparatus in the South will be unleashed to make sure he is frustrated out of office. For example Walter Onnoghen and kemi adeosun.
What is our problem in this country! Is it that we don't read, or we don't actually understand what we supposedly read. After reading many of the comments here, I've actually given up.

Op, you need to correct your headline.Toyin didn't give the area touts #120,000 like you wrote, she gave them#15,000.She said that she gave them 5000 initially to buy drinks and after shooting, she gave them 10,000.
The 120,000 was for the people who make up the crowd in the movie shoot.

This is what you get when you set up an armed security outfit without proper training and orientation. How, where and when were the members of the amotekun corps trained? We don't seem to learn from our past experience in this country. How could we forget the carnage caused by the OPC in it's heyday?I hope the government would admit it's mistake and disband this clown of a security outfit, recruit new members and give them proper training.

Northerners are always happy to see massive destruction in the south. They have been online floating many threads to mock the south about a destruction they started when they sent hoodlums to disrupt the protest.

We must have the names of the commander and the shooters at Lekki toll gate.

The south should beware of the north.
Do you mean that the hoodlums are from the north? Are the guys who perpetrated those destructions Hausa/Fulani. Please come off it.

CrimeMan Rob Bank, Spray Money On The Street(photos) by Oladat(op): 9:59am On Dec 25, 2019
A white-bearded man robbed a bank two days before Christmas then threw the money in the air and enthusiastically wished passers-by a merry Christmas, witnesses have said.
Police said "an older white male" robbed the Academy Bank in Colorado Springs on Monday lunchtime.
"He robbed the bank, came out, threw the money all over the place," witness Dion Pascale told Colorado's 11 News.
"He started throwing money out of the bag and then said, 'Merry Christmas!'"
Witnesses said the hirsute suspect then wandered over to a nearby Starbucks coffee shop, sat down in front of it, and waited to be arrested.
In a particularly festive gesture, the passers-by are reported to have scooped up all the money from the street and taken it back inside the bank.
Colorado Springs police named the suspect as David Wayne Oliver, 65. He is not believed to have had any little helpers.

No! I don't think this is a case of poverty. What I think is the case of child witch.Maybe the parents have been Hoodwinked into believing that the child is a witch. I have seen a child (a 3 year old) whipped with a bunch of brooms in a religious worship house. It was so serious that the broken brooms penetrated the skin of the child.
