Hello House,

How's business going with everyone?

I need a little help here. Brandbucket just approved three of my brandables but the issue is i'm about to pay the $10 fee but they don't seem to have Nigeria listed on the Mastercard payment link.

Anyone here uses a foreign issued mastercard and is willing to help me pay $30. I can transfer the fund to your Paypal or local account here in a matter of minutes. I will also give you my login details on BB to complete the transaction.

Kindly help.

Best Regards.

Check my profile for my contact details.
Have you paid your listing fee?

pls wats bargain domain ? i was negotiating with a buyer and he said he needed bargain domain.
Thanks
'Bargain' in this sense means 'cheap'. The type of domains that you will find at GoDaddy's TDNAM. They usually go for less than $20.

From WordWeb dictionary:
Noun: bargain baa(r)-gin
1. An agreement between parties (usually arrived at after discussion) fixing obligations of each
"he made a bargain with the devil"
2. An advantageous purchase
"she got a bargain at the auction"
The buyer meant number 2 and not number 1.

Hi,
You could try voting on BB to get points. 10 votes equal 1 point and you need just 10 points to list a domain. I don't know if there are any restrictions regarding voting with a new account. Just try it.

Why pay when you can just vote? 100 votes should take you not more than 20 minutes on a laptop (It won't work on a phone). I currently have 17 points in my account. I've never used points to list a domain before but I will use the points for my next listing.

I am new here, is their anything good about buying a .com.ng domain? Also, how do you check the whoiswho?. Thanks
If you need a domain for your business, you can register a .com.ng. If you want to resell a domain, stay away from .com.ng.

Check 'WHOISwho' at whois.com

@oladayo042
Do you think 3dbigscreen . com got potentials?
Like I told @bj4reel in a private correspondence, it is difficult to assess future trend domains. This is because some technology gets developed along the way that makes a hitherto low-value domain become a category killer. On the other hand, some technology never gets off or does not gain popular usage, turning a promising domain into a low-value domain.

Since theatres are referred to as 'big screen', I will advise that you keep an eye on 3DTheatre&3DTheater dot com (both parked). If those ever take off, that makes your domain much more certain to sell. However, if the owners/operators of 3D Theatres don't see a need to buy 3DTheatre(com), why will they buy 3DBigScreen(com)?

I submitted some names to Namerific and all of them were rejected. Since then, I have stopped submitting names to them.

I thought as much.

Does anyone here have interest in Hemp name? There are two good name on auction but I don't have funds to acquire them at the moment but I can get a buyer for them if people here can come together and win the auction.

Only interested persons should indicate. Mind you, this auction could run up to $500. So please, if you have interest, let me know. You provide the funds, I get a buyer for this and we split the profit. Buyer had done deals with me before and I am sure they will buy this one too if we can win it.

My funds are on hold by a relative as it came in through her account before I got myself my own Dorm account. It will take time before it will get to me, mostly end of this month and by then, the name would have vanished off the shelf because we have just 6 days to go for the names.

Here it what we should do,

Let's prepare for the worse and hope for the best.

Preparing for the worse:

Assume that the name on auction will run up to $500. We should aim at $500 benchmark, though auction is currently at $20 but the views (eyes on it ) are about 20. Therefore do not be decieved by the $20 current price lol.

Buyer would definitely buy at $1000 and above, depending on the negotiating power.

Interested persons should let me know and I will drop my email. If not, I fit use my own laptop borrow money and I am sure I will get back the money lol.

Let me know guys!
I'm mailing you now

pls bro..kindly summarize the best / recommended methods concerning buying domain names and recieving payments if they are eventually sold...
thanks
I will appreciate it if you can make your question more clearer. Are you asking for how to buy or what to buy?

How to buy?
GoDaddy and your debit card. I heard AccessBank has the lowest exchange rate among Nigerian banks. GoDaddy is good for a newbie because of their always-available coupon codes.

How to receive payment?
Contact LegalWealth on Nairaland. That's the simplest solution I know of.

How do you think Drone Corporation is worth or should sell for.
I would be cautious of naming a price for a future trend domain in the drone niche. This is because we are still 'scratching the surface' when it comes to public usage and popularity. Drone usage is still in its infancy and we are already seeing some big ticket sales.

I would expect this name to go for at least four figures. DroneCorp is owned by @gilescoley of NP and I think DroneCorporation is better than that name.

Just put it on 'make offer' and let the offers start rolling in. You will need a lot of patience here.

There is God oooo. Everything starts and ends with your blog. Even on the blog post you linked to, all I can see is "pay N1000 into my account and I'll send you the two packages".

I don't even pity your customers. The information they are looking for is right out there but they are too lazy to find it. The only thing that will make me buy an e-book is if the information is not freely available elsewhere. Since I've been on the internet, there is no information that is not outside there for free. If there is, please let me know.

Haba! @2sexi too has a blog but he doesn't link to his blog to answer every question here. In fact, I'm yet to see him include his blog in response to a question here, save for his signature.

I will counter that putting a make offer vs BIN is decision hugely hinge on demand. The likes of 3D and cloud for instance would be suicidal if you put a BIN but in a case where you are not so sure of what's out there and the demand is quite low, you can include a BIN, except you like the name and do not intended to sell it.

Such is the case of a friend who uses one of his domain to blog. He never wanted to sell. Therefore, he gave the domain name an extended expiry date to 2024.

However, one of the Top tech storage company has been on his neck to sell it to them. They were even willing to cough out 6 figures for the name.

It just depend on the demand. I will practise same for Drone Corporation. Hopefully, by Monday, my name will be on whois so, you can check by then.

It depends on demand bro and whether you are not willing to sell.
I totally agree with what you wrote here. I'm not sure my domains have a lot of demand like the niches you've mentioned.

Like I have said many times on this thread, I am still a newbie and I'm experimenting with a lot of things, 'BIN' vs 'Make offer' being one of them. For example, all my domain name are now forwarded to Afternic where 'BIN' and 'Make offer' can be used concurrently.

Let's see how it goes.

Pardon me Monsieur, but what's the bighie in getting ur domain name accepted at namerific? I thought Sedo was the holy grail of sales sites. So, what is it about Namerific?
Thanks for asking this question. I like asking questions myself and I like those who ask as well.

There is no biggie in getting your name accepted at Namerific. In fact, I can think up five names now and will bet that at least two of them will be accepted at Namerific. I have seven names at BrandBucket and four at BrandRoot and no sale yet. This is why I said the name may not sell anytime soon. So, no biggie about getting on Namerific.

However, just like I told @BsatTech, having more eyeballs to your name is a good thing in itself. It increases the chance of selling your name.

Regarding Sedo being the holy grail of domain marketplaces, the pros will not agree about that. In fact, the pros see Sedo as the junkyard marketplace where anything goes. In my opinion, DomainNameSales should be the holy grail. They assess your portfolio before they approve your account and they turn out huge figures. Thumbs up to Frank and his team.

yeah, I like BIN too but with a BIN, you can't know if your price is chasing buyers away or how much the buyer would have been willing to pay.

Please guys i need your help on this mail i just received on one of the brandable names i sent to Namerific.

Please I need guidelines on how to do this.

Regards.
Congrats on having your name accepted at Namerific. Though it does not mean the name will sell soon, it is good to be on a platform where your name can get more eyeballs.

To forward your name to Namerific, click on 'Launch Domain' under 'My Account' in your GoDaddy account. Then click the downward-facing arrow in front of the domain name you want to forward and click on 'Forward Domain' under the dropdown menu. Enter the namerific.com/xxxxxxx in the address bar and save.

It should be as easy as a walk in the park.

Sedo, with a BIN. I have since then changed all my domains to 'Make Offer'. BIN makes you leave (or think you left) money on the table, even if you did not.

Its hard doing this without a laptop,i have to always go to a cafe which i hate sort of.

Any tips,or quick words regarding a business model for domain flipping?

I do read wide on this whole thing but somehow the info i get from nigerians doing the biz is more satisfying than what i read from those foreign websites.
Yeah, doing this business from a cybercafe sucks. What makes it worse is that you can't do some things on your phone, like using the Google Adwords Keyword Planner.

I'll suggest that you do most, nay all, of your domain research using your phone and just go to the cafe when you actually need to use a computer. I started with a Nokia C1 too because my laptop's battery was not good then and I had no money for PC subscription. Research on phone, buy at cafe.

For business model, you'll have to determing that by yourself, depending on a lot of factors like your purse, risk tolerance, etc. By 'business model', I'm referring to your domain strategy. Everyone has their own strategy. Aftermarket? Handreg? If handreg, brandables or future trend? If future trend, what niche? I'll suggest that you read the regular sales report on DNJournal, TLDInvestors and frequent the sales thread on Namepros. Knowing what is selling will help you know what to buy. My current business model is to combine brandables with LKeyword (I mean valuable keywords) domains.

Lastly, please stick to dotcom.

Your 'soon' may actually be a year, less or more. Notwithstanding the time, making your first sale (like I did after a year and a month) let you know whether your business model is right.
