Couldn't certify my own sedo account, so i'm about opening an account with flippa; but i need to know how does one receive payments from flippa ? is it only through escrow, and does escrow accept Nigerians?
Also what other sites can a Nigerian easily buy and sell domains without without withdrawal problems and phony US Addresses.
thanks y'all
Sedo and Flippa are not substitutes. Sedo is a general marketplace while Flippa is an auction-only marketplace.

You could try Afternic and GoDaddy Premium listings. Both sites accept Nigerians and you get your funds through Paypal (@Arbitrage and @Legalwealth help here).

This is my response to a guy who asked what you are asking:
That you have not gotten the second mail is actually a good sign. Afterall, it is better than getting a regret mail five minutes after the assessment report.

My best bet is that there are some superpower
combinations that they are considering whether to
accept/reject. This may explain why some people
got the second mail (both acceptance and
rejection) immediately after the assessment
report and some are yet to get it few days after
their report.
It looks like I was right because the guy was later invited to write the second test.

I disagree with #4.

In the same resume', the applicant must have listed Microsoft as a place of employment.

So what's the big deal if he/she states that he consulted for a major software company in Redmond?

What then is the classified information the applicant is divulging?

SMH
\

I think you didn't get the point.

A guy works at a consulting firm (eg KPMG, McKinsey, etc) that has consulted for Microsoft before.

Employees of the consulting firm are required not to disclose their clients. The truth is that they are really working for the consulting firm, no matter where client posting may take them to.

The guy wanted to join Google. He didn't want to betray his non-disclosure oath so he vaguely mentioned 'a major software company in Redmond' in his CV.

Due to Google's knowledge of how the consulting firm works, they know that he's bound by a non-disclosure oath. Google H.R thinks mentioning ' a major software company in Redmond' betrays that oath in spirit but not in letter.

Google is afraid that if they hire this guy, he may later want to join Facebook and be tempted to write on his CV: 'I developed a brilliant social network for a tech giant in Mountain View, CA.' Afterall, he has not mentioned Google.

Non-disclosure means total non-disclosure. You can't agree to non-disclosure and be giving out subtle hints.

einsteino: am a UNN grad with reg no 2007/147169(u can verify it).. I must say I disapprove of this, yeah we are good but we do not hold a monopoly of exceptional students.

this precedent you are setting is a dangerous one, I doubt P&G would want to associate itself with something this unsavory especially now that its been brought to public notice.

I advise you modify your minimum requirement to maybe a first class from any uni(it makes more sense even though I know there are 2-1 materials who could be as productive as the former)
eaglechild: This goes to show that serious companies that are result oriented recognize the superiority of UNN graduates.
mrking3: Sadly, many other firms now will follow suit! This guys are setting dangerous precedent!! This isn't cool!! What's their basis of selecting just UNN graduates?
Cool down guys. For reasons best known to Procter & Gamble, they select a particular university for their annual internship programme; the university selected last year is never the same as the one for this year. ABU Zaria was selected last year and UNN this year. UNN final year student better maximise this opportunity because UNN may not smell the internship in the next 20 years.

CareerThe Biggest Mistake I See On Resumes - Google Head Of HR by oladayo042(op): 5:08pm On Sep 18, 2014
This post was posted on LinkedIn by Laszlo Bock, Senior Vice President of People Operations at Google. Enjoy!
I've sent out hundreds of resumes over my career, applying for just about every kind of job. I've
personally reviewed more than 20,000 resumes.
And at Google we sometimes get more than 50,000
resumes in a single week.

I have seen A LOT of resumes. Some are brilliant, most are just ok, many are disasters. The toughest part is that for 15 years, I've continued to see the same mistakes made again and again by candidates, any one of which can eliminate them from consideration for a job. What's most depressing is that I can tell from the resumes that many of these are good, even great, people. But in a fiercely competitive labor market, hiring managers don't need to compromise on quality. All it takes is one small mistake and a manager will reject an otherwise interesting candidate.

I know this is well-worn ground on LinkedIn, but I'm
starting here because -- I promise you -- more than
half of you have at least one of these mistakes on
your resume. And I'd much rather see folks win jobs
than get passed over.

In the interest of helping more candidates make it
past that first resume screen, here are the five
biggest mistakes I see on resumes.

Mistake 1: Typos. This one seems obvious, but it happens again and again. A 2013 CareerBuilder survey found that 58% of resumes have typos. In fact, people who tweak their resumes the most carefully can be especially vulnerable to this kind of error, because they often result from going back again and again to fine tune your resume just one last time. And in doing so, a subject and verb suddenly don't match up, or a period is left in the wrong place, or a set of dates gets knocked out of alignment. I see this in MBA resumes all the time.

Typos are deadly because employers interpret them
as a lack of detail-orientation, as a failure to care
about quality. The fix?

Read your resume from bottom to top: reversing the normal order helps you focus on each line in
isolation. Or have someone else proofread closely
for you.

Mistake 2: Length. A good rule of thumb is one page of resume for every ten years of work
experience. Hard to fit it all in, right? But a three or
four or ten page resume simply won't get read
closely. As Blaise Pascal wrote, "I would have
written you a shorter letter, but I did not have the
time." A crisp, focused resume demonstrates an
ability to synthesize, prioritize, and convey the most important information about you. Think about it this way: the *sole* purpose of a resume is to get you an interview. That's it. It's not to convince a hiring manager to say "yes" to you (that's what the
interview is for) or to tell your life's story (that's
what a patient spouse is for). Your resume is a tool
that gets you to that first interview. Once you're in
the room, the resume doesn't matter much. So cut
back your resume. It's too long.

Mistake 3: Formatting. Unless you're applying for a job such as a designer or artist, your focus should be on making your resume clean and legible. At least ten point font. At least half-inch margins. White paper, black ink. Consistent spacing between lines, columns aligned, your name and contact information on every page. If you can, look at it in both Google Docs and Word, and then attach it to an email and open it as a preview. Formatting can get garbled when moving across platforms. Saving it as a PDF is a good way to go.

Mistake 4: Confidential information. I once
received a resume from an applicant working at a
top-three consulting firm. This firm had a strict
confidentiality policy: client names were never to be
shared. On the resume, the candidate wrote:
"Consulted to a major software company in
Redmond, Washington." Rejected! There's an
inherent conflict between your employer's needs
(keep business secrets confidential) and your needs
(show how awesome I am so I can get a better job).
So candidates often find ways to honor the letter of
their confidentiality agreements but not the spirit.
It's a mistake. While this candidate didn't mention
Microsoft specifically, any reviewer knew that's
what he meant. In a very rough audit, we found that
at least 5-10% of resumes reveal confidential
information. Which tells me, as an employer, that I
should never hire those candidates ... unless I want
my own trade secrets emailed to my competitors.

The New York Times test is helpful here: if you
wouldn't want to see it on the home page of the NYT with your name attached (or if your boss wouldn't!), don't put it on your resume.

Mistake 5: Lies. This breaks my heart. Putting a lie on your resume is never, ever, ever, worth it.
Everyone, up to and including CEOs, gets fired for
this. (Google "CEO fired for lying on resume" and
see.) People lie about their degrees (three credits
shy of a college degree is not a degree), GPAs (I've
seen hundreds of people "accidentally" round their
GPAs up, but never have I seen one accidentally
rounded down -- never), and where they went to
school (sorry, but employers don't view a degree
granted online for "life experience" as the same as
UCLA or Seton Hall). People lie about how long they
were at companies, how big their teams were, and
their sales results, always goofing in their favor.

There are three big problems with lying: (1) You can
easily get busted. The Internet, reference checks,
and people who worked at your company in the past can all reveal your fraud. (2) Lies follow you forever. Fib on your resume and 15 years later get a big promotion and are discovered? Fired. And try
explaining that in your next interview. (3) Our
Moms taught us better. Seriously.

So this is how to mess up your resume. Don't do it!
Hiring managers are looking for the best people
they can find, but the majority of us all but
guarantee that we'll get rejected. The good news is that -- precisely because most resumes have these kinds of mistakes -- avoiding them makes you stand out.

In a future post, I'll expand beyond what not to do,
and cover the things you *should* be doing to make
your resume stand out from the stack.
You can check out the source for some nice rebuttals.

Seriously, do you need to create another thread for Part 2?

You like being verbose. Even some of your replies to simple comments here are more than 300 words. Despite your promise of the contrary, the Part 2 is still unnecessarily long. People don't want to read your review of "Think and Grow Rich." People don't want to read your analysis of probability theory. Just give them the info, straight away.

The harsh truth is that every job seeker will have to compete. Resources are scarce, including time. What is the probability that I will read your blog out of the thousands of blogs offering job and career advice? 0.000001? That's competition! I thought you said you hate it?

Have a nice day.

Ferdybaba: Hi guys, my friend told me about getting a regret mail after doing the personality test, so I decided to apply and do the test so I can decipher what they expect from applicants, not that I need the job or even have any interest in banking. So I applied, did the test and got another mail asking me to do an aptitude test, implying that I passed the Personality test... Am just here to give tips and headsup to those who are yet to write the said test.The test is scenario based, they present u with a possible scenario and ask u to rank in order of wat u will 'most likely do' or 'least likely do' when in such a situation....my tips are as followed;

1. You are not being timed, so don't answer in a hurry. Try to read and understand what the situation entails and what u can reasonably do.
2. They want u to be consistent in your answers cos the test is meant to investigate if you are a team player or a self starter(someone who loves to work alone)
3. In my opinion, I believe they need more of team players, so your 'most likely' choice from the options should be the one that reflects a team player.
4. Some of the scenarios wish to know if u have the ability to take initiative and the likelyhood of you relating with your manager when the situation demands it.
5. You will be provided with 5 random options, you should rearrange them by placing in ranking order what u would have done, your most likely answer should be dragged and moved to number1, then 2,3,4 are other options which are u may also take in order of preference, and finally u will place the 'least likely' u would take in any scenarios as the number 5....pls ensure u rearrange in this order so that to reflect ur strength accordingly.
6. pls don't compromise ur team playing attitude, cos if u do, it will reflect that u are not consistent...consequently leading to u failing the test.
7. Trust God and I wish u good success.

Kind Regards...
What are your 'superpowers'?

@2sExy1

Do you use Payoneer with your Paypal?
I had over $200 on my card when I got it. I also had funds on my Payoneer card when I linked it to my Paypal account. Paypal deducted $1.95 and refunded it the next day. You guessed right. The transaction wasn't successful because you didn't have funds in your account.

After logging in, go to my account, then you'll see Payments. Click on it and delete your debit card from that account. Don't bother to add another card. HenryThegreat1: I wonder y some1 applied 4 direct sales agent will b writing math nd English. A graduate of mktg 4 dat.
Maths and English are basic skills that everyone needs; be it a graduate of Accounting or Yoruba, applying for the role of a sales agent or human resources. GMAT questions are mostly framed around real-life issues. For example, a GMAT question can come in this format:

"A sales agent gives a 10% discount for every purchase above N10000 of Product A; 15% for purchases above N7000 of Product B; and 12% for purchases above N15000 of Product C. Discounts are only applicable when goods are paid for immediately after purchase. HenryTheGreat bought N12000 worth of Product A; N7000 worth of Product B; and N14999 worth of Product C. He paid in full immediately. How much discount will he get?"

This question may seem easy because I made it up in my head. The essence of the question is to illustrate that Maths and English are very useful in aptitude tests.

what do you expect from an angry man?to type grammatically correct sentences? I don't think that will be possible
Is anger supposed to make someone write badly?

I know that anger can make you commit blunders or even stammer when speaking but not when writing. Writing affords you the opportunity to correct yourself, an opportunity that speaking obviously lacks.
