Good morning colleagues.
Please I need an advice on the best route to retain my stay in the UK. I'm a student with my program coming to completion in September, while my visa expires in Jan 2025.
I'm actually thinking of post study work visa(PSWV) for a family of 4, but my fear is after this PSWV, what next? As I'm aware that most companies don't want to sponsor even after the so called PSWV.
I've lots of experience in my field but I think the companies are mostly concerned about the sponsorship.
Please what is the best thing for me to do as I've run out of ideas?

This morning, I noticed from my tracker that my application has been transferred to VAC. Instead of an email on decision made, it was DHL that messaged me for collection.
Please what could this mean?

1. You mentioned you used the same account for your application so technically the current statement should also show your POF. If funds have been deducted towards tuition or living expense submit the invoice to account for the difference

2.For your dependants they need a consent letter from you. Cover letters help explain things better to the ECO if you think you need to then include one


3. Address it to the British High Commissioner

Hello @Duchess90 and other gurus in the house. I have 24m in one of my accounts for POF (family of 4) and I have another 16m in another account which was not initially planned for POF. Due to the impact of fx, the 24m was no longer enough for all so I proceeded for my own visa. Now I want to use the two accounts for my dependants for their POF.
1)Do I need to also present my SOA to proof funds are not recycled?
2)Do I need to write a cover letter for using the two accounts?
3)For consent letter to use my statement of accounts, is it to be addressed to ECO, UKVI UK or ECO, UKVI Lagos?

Try The Consultants Practice in Ikoyi, you may have a slot that suits your time. I did mine there.

What if the applicant chose NO and described that there is plan to get an accommodation close to the university? Will this suffice?

1) Can I still use this statement for the two of us or for me alone since the fund had dropped below requirements at some point though not by withdrawal but by forex fluctuation?

2) For study gap of 10yrs, I have employment and promotion letters, is reference letter still necessary?

@duchess90 and other gurus in the house. I need some clarification on this; I'm waiting for my POF to mature at the end of this month for a family of 4. But unfortunately the POF will only be enough for MA and one dependant as we speak due to the current oanda rate. So I want to apply for myself and my wife because of this situation.
Now my question is, I have an uncle who will like to stand as a sponsor for my 2 kids.
1) Is this possible?
2) if yes, how do I go about it?

You're very right! It's something we really need to acknowledge. Sometimes I keep wondering how easy it is for someone to give such imense selfless support to others at almost every hour of the day. We can not thank you enough, only God can reward you guys.

I'll be very direct, let's give it to these guys.
They reply virtually every one's message here on a daily if not hourly bases.

From my inner most part I pray for all the guys that God will bless them immensely. I sincerely wish there was a reward mechanism here on nairaland.

If not for the complexity of the travel section I would have opened a fresh thread for this. Make one person no come Tiamiyu or Emtee the idea.

I also want to use this medium to encourage people with dependants back in Nigeria to keep the faith up and put across their applications ASAP. Visas are still being approved as I speak.

I'm a dependant and my journey with two kids was a nothing but miracle, from TB Test, to Visa application, to Biometrics, to Visa approval and then POE at Gatwick.

Biometrics Thursday, Empty NSF Friday, Passport pickup mail Tuesday. Visa was approved in 3 working days... It can only be God.

God will do yours too.

Also if there's anyone here around Portsmouth, Fraton, Isle of Wight or environs pls mention me let's discuss offline...

Make a list of what you think is applicable, we will add to your list if there's something missing

Your TB certificate

Your evidence of maintenance

If you have a study gap of more than 5years please include evidence of your activities (whether you were employed or self employed)

If you also look back at the thread you will see people have previously posted their visa outcome and the documents they uploaded

I've read on several occasions from this platform about people enquiring on the use of microfinance banks for POF. Regarding that, below is the warning message I received today from a sch that I applied to in the UK;

"Dear Applicant,

I hope this mail finds you well.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has recently just revoked the licenses of some microfinance banks, which means that the banks would discontinue their operations with immediate effect. Information on the affected microfinance banks can be found here(https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/600157-updated-cbn-revokes-licences-of-132-microfinance-banks-others-full-list.html)

In view of this, we strongly recommend that you make use of ONLY COMMERCIAL BANKS for your maintenance document (proof of funds).

If you have further clarification, kindly call any of the underlisted numbers... "
