Foreign Affairs › Re: Death toll of South Africans Killed In Nigeria Megachurch Collapse rises to 84 by olaeffect(m): 7:26am On Sep 17, 2014
This is very sad.

Something I see here however is a country that has value for its citizens. If it were Nigerians that died in such manner in another country we will not even know. When we even have people dying daily like that here at home on daily basis.

We need to place more value on human life.

R.I.P to the dead.

Lovexme: If staffs are well-paid and taken good care of by their employers, employees wouldn't do such. Unless, of course, man's insatiable hunger for more money.

The dude probably emptied the bank's account, and that's pretty ruthless.
You are correct, most of these IT guys (not industrial attachment ooo) are contract staff in most bank and they are now easy prey for fraudsters. How can banks expect to cut cost by using contract staff as system engineers.
As the saying goes: "If you keep looking for ways to pay peanuts; you will soon end up employing monkeys"

Their is no excuse for stealing sha. Please don't ever steal from a bank you will be caught. The money no be bank own grin

The same missionaries that gave us education that we used in fighting slave trade and becoming better people or which ones are you referring to?
Can we all come here and type if not for the missionaries? And you can still come here and type poo. Was it only the west that took slaves from Africa. Where are all the trans Sahara slaves taken from Africa to the middle east?

firstolalekan: Many things contradicts themselves in the bible...
Most Christians are so choosy in reading from the the Bible ( old and new) Most of you read mostly read from the new and make excuses that many things in the old testament doesn't apply today because Jesus... bla bla bla - Go and tell that to the jews.
But, yours pastors will never stop preaching from the book of Malachi because they want to build mansions and buy private jets. Alas, other books like Leviticus and exodus are no go area...
Hypocrisy at its peak.
And your point is?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Scientific Facts: The Biblical Evidence by olaeffect(m): 12:10pm On Sep 14, 2014
firstolalekan: op, keeping deceiving yourself on an adulterated and doctored story book written by men with myopic view.
The today's bible has many absurd flaws.
Go and read the post all over again please. You will notice that some of the flaws (truth) in the past are now being confirmed by science as "facts" and most of your current/present flaws(truth) will be discovered to be "facts" in 200 or 300 years time but you won't have the opportunity to believe then because we will all be long dead. Since you lack faith now and you want everything to be scientifically proven before you believe.

Hope you know that procreation is yet to be fully and totally scientifically proven or understood, but your parents and mine still went ahead and gave birth to you and I. Hope you will wait for science to fully understand procreation before you give birth to you own children.

sambiggzy: Prophet temitope B. Joshua.... has attributed the collapse of his building to the hovering of a misterious aircraft around the building...... i swear to God this man thinks we are fools abi........ but some foolish christians will believe this just because TB joshua said it..... very soon people will forget that negligence led to the collapse of that building.... trying to convert a four story building to a six story building clearly forgetting that the foundation of that building was meant for four storie building..... i swear gan those people that died in that collapsed building were murdered..... in civilised and intelligent societies..... The Man Tb joshua will be tried for culpable homicide or manslaughter as a result of blantant negligence...... coming to give me one cock and bull story that an aircraft collapsed ur building with what.... an invincible bomb...... this man must think so low of nigerians to toil with our intelligence like that..... But some idiotic foolish minds will still believe it ...afterall the great TB joshua said it.... olodo rabata christians that we have.... i rest my case
I will advice we all watch our words and don't jump to conclusion. Thank God I have access to EmmanuelTv on my decoder, I will watch and hear by myself before I make comment.
I don't believe our reporters and newspaper ooo. I read about an incident that happened in my area in the paper, their was 92% discrepancy with what actually took place. It either the reporter was high on something or someone gave him a false account and he wrote it like he was there.

let's just wait and see.

redsun: Why are Nigerians so religious in the 21st century like they are in the dark age Europe? Why don't Nigerians learn about the real past that can be reached with a touch of button? Instead they chose to dwell on mythical and fictitious books that keeps them blind and reluctant to learn the truth that even the smallest creatures on earth like ants are fully aware of.
Bros, its not only Nigerians that are religious, don't try to fool yourself or others, and don't give us any bullish*t about the USA and developed countries that you don't reside in). We just read about the USA air force oath issue in regards to God.

If you watch EmanuelTv you will know that a larger number of synagogue members are foreigners. Saw a program yesterday on Assemblies of God Church in South Korea (ol boy). You will know that we are not religious at all in Nigeria.

Sit down there and allow the circular TV culture be deceiving you. If only you know how religion (Christianity, Islam, e.t.c) is gaining grounds in the so called nonreligious countries you go bow.

moderatorr: You are an over fed illiterate. Misplacing plural with singular and lacking commonplace knowledge of how to use a hashtag. I can bet my twitter account that there are pupils in that class that will laugh at your use of English.
Calling your country dark when you have never done anything to help it.
10% of your monthly pocket money will buy 2 benches and 2 tables for that class.
The following month, another 10% will buy excersise books, biro, marker and duster for that class.
In OBJ's voice "na your papa house dey dark".
Agreed with you to the point before you asked him to use 10% of his pay to buy benches, this is totally unacceptable by me. When your uncle's in the national assembly are being given N45m per quarter (apart from their salary and allowance, which value we don't even know) for constituency development and we are not asking them to account for it.
I did rather he give his 10% to sahara reporter or a reputable media outfit to do a big story on that school if he is so concerned.

So they now also treat us like rubbish when we go to buy ticket, please does the ticket come with Visa?

I empathize with the young man only if his parents are not amongst the many people responsible for the present situation of the country.

But for all those that are responsible for the present educational decadence in Nigeria but are sending their own children abroad to school similar and worse case will be their portion.

let's all be warned. He that pander his family cheap (like our leaders do Nigerians) should not expect any form of regards from others.

Our own government has treated us worst than how this young man was treated by foreigners. So how can we fight this injustice.

zicoraads: Well...over to the conspiracy theorists!

RIP to the dead.

It doesn't matter the effort the devil puts into trying to derail ourbelieve in God. As Christians and believers, temptations would come, persecution would come, the devil would try to tempt us to loose faith in God.

First it was Christ Embassy, now SCOAN. But it doesn't matter which denomination it affects, we are all Christians and therefore an attack on one is an attack on us all. We shall prevail and the devil would be shamed.
May the good Lord continue to bless you for this comment.

Namadi can't deliver his own constituency. I won't be surprised if he is dropped. GEJ wants to win 2015 by every lawful means (as we are meant to believe), so if Namadi can't add any number to the equation, he should expect to be outplayed. If he feels he has the political muzzle let him run for president too.

Conscription should be what we should be doing now, not asking people to pay N1,000.00 and be registering online.

But starting with the persons you mention above no concern me ooo.
