Very funny- his going to launch an application- APC is bringing in £400m as FDI* - FDI's don't trust him, because of his stand on corruption- and now this court jester? Left other issues and is going to Launch trading platform application- sooner then later he would go to CBN to launch the new forex trading platform*, and some idiots will shout GEJ till they die!!! cheesy

Oyah! Oyah!! The damage you have done is enough- go back to your village* how can a market be comfortable with a man that appoints the likes of obanikoro as minister?

Aha, I have been saying this for years when the War started, that this callous man - in sheep skin was at the heart of the war - that he had and has only one intent - annihilate northeastern part of nigeria* now the president of another country has come out to say it again- I was not working on speculation I was looking at the antecedents available as it was happening - never again would a wicked man like this - whom uses the blood of the innocent to atone for his own wickedness - this man must not return O! If he does - you would understand the wickedness inherent in the heart of wicked man- and you would understand why majority are suffering and his enjoying- look at the innocent lives lost - when they could have been saved- and people bring sentiments and say his working- working my foot

Politics › The Devaluation Of The Naira And The Real Effect On Petroleum Product Prices by olajide8(op): 11:49am On Mar 03, 2015
For a while- I was one of the first advocates for a reduction of pump price of petroleum products, if truly we had a free market determining the prices of petroleum products based on the international market value of finished products "thou we run a sham in nigeria", but now I would want to show you - were this government has failed due to the massive steal going on, now that the value of the dollar has sky rocket against that of the naira - "bearing in mind the fact that we don't produce finished products," we need more naira to buy few dollars to purchase this all important commodity - automatically what this means is that the price of the commodity in a free market would sky rocket and believe you me- we would end up paying more for this product then the price fixed at N97 previously- which had been their plan all along, split nigeria along economic lines- because they purposely mis-managed the economy, and are still mis-managing the economy as we speak- they are actually canvassing for votes and issuing all sort of false positions* - let the foolish continue to get fooled - but we need better people to manage this economy - NOI* "world bank MD" we have seen the stuff your made off- coupled with an un serious minded group of people, not taking charge for faults but always laying the blame on someone else's doorstep.
Nairaland General › Re: A Cursed Few In Our Generation by olajide8(op): 3:45pm On Mar 01, 2015
I have been so irritated like nowadays - GEJ I don't have any problem with him, I only have an issue with his incompetence, we were not all born to be competent and that's why they invented the grading scale, to help us develop, but the greatest of all irritants is the amount of advertorials - I open a news paper I see GEJ till 2099* some threads are started on nairaland with only one intent perpetrate falsehood and sell a bad product, when it can't be sold they attack personalities and are quick to jump to positions like APC supporters are fighters- well their are 2 things involved the aggressie and the aggressor* I switch on my TV to watch a local station and I see 1200km of roads lagos - ibadan expressway- ore sagamu road* I don't blame them, they don't go by road so they don't know if the roads are good or bad*, I just see advert and adverts N21b is no chicken change O! TV stations newspapers and radio stations are cashing in big time* - because of all these lies, I watch cctv aljazeera and bbc more nowadays if I get really frustrated I watch hiptv and BET TV just to avoid seeing and listening to the lies. What even baffles me the most is people still don't understand - it's not about buhari again! It's about the ability to make a statement with our votes and put some certain set of people where they belong, if they take us for a ride- it's the ability to look for an alternative that would not thrive on 16 is greater then 19 - 4 impeach 21 because they have just one person that circumvent and destroyed the structure of the presidency - so he can single handedly romance and allow the likes of FFK talk and insult our sensibilities- Fayose that rigged and was impeached for stealing- imagine someone that still has a case to answer, immunity my foot- and so many more- ibori daughter and any member of ibori's family should not be allowed to hold any political office in nigeria* as a deterrent for the money her father stole, but no, under this administration - anything goes- what is the punishment for corruption and stealing? A national honour* I want to imagine, if GEJ had been in power for 8 years they would have finished nigeria*
Politics › Re: 2 Female Suicide Bombers Kill 4 In Borno by olajide8(m): 12:39pm On Mar 01, 2015
Ernieman:
You are right by saying the bombs on them are time-activated. But imagine a situtaion whereby an innocent girl is captured and forced to be a suicide bomber and eventually sent on a mission to bomb a place just like this very case. What should be the strategy of the Government in protecting both the life of the bomber and other people? If you ask me, I think the Government and the Police are not doing much and funny enough we have witnessed over 5cases similar to this, still nothing has been done...where is the leadership in Government? It is appalling! Common sense will tell me as a Leader to caution Motorists at ALL Motor parks to notify female passengers NOT to put on Hijabs or any kind of over-flowing gown and if they MUST put on Hijab, then they must reveal to everyone at a distance far from where people are that they are clean. Trained anti-Bomb squad who have special training in diffusing bombs should also be deployed @Motor parks in case there is a situation where a bomber admits he/she has strapped bomb and would want it diffused. And another is to reduce the number of motor parks by ordering the closure of most of them, especially those ones in remote towns....I mean there are a range of ideas that would counter this particular strategy by the deadly sect. God bless Nigeria.
Yes I agree with you- I also want to believe the parents of these minors are not doing enough, reporting cases of kidnapping is very paramount in this battle- secondly identifying these kid bombers is also salient
Politics › Re: 2 Female Suicide Bombers Kill 4 In Borno by olajide8(m): 8:59pm On Feb 28, 2015
If they blew up before they were able to get to where they were heading - it means the bomb on them, is time activated and not remote controlled- so that means most of the corpse (useless suicide bombers) walking with the bombs, travel over a distance to perpetrate their heinous act it's time- the military start to delay traffic, at check points and then? Tell hijab wearers to strip- if not they would be shot at and killed - that simple* no more hijabs* shekena!!!

even in the diaspora, APC still sends a message and the character of the person is not attacked.

it gets more obvious by the day that some people are just mischievous like Buhari said- most of those people their carrying placards for GEJ are jamaicans - and the rest of the tanoids - you no hear capital oil has been given back to ubah, and if buhari gets into power it would be collected back, when buhari gets back into power Fayose is going back to jail, you know hear- FFK would be remanded in jail for corruption and stealing, they are all fighting a case of their lives.

for the others that don't know and are supporting them, you came to these world to escort them cheesy grin cry

you may also serve their children, just like ibori's daughter, that her father stole from you- and she would soon rub sirens in you face to leave the road for her she wants to pass.. with your own wealth tongue cheesy cry

I can't seem to understand why people can't understand message the op! Was trying to send, they look at the write ups without thinking of its meanings - it's not about ethnocentricism it's about the change we need- we need another foundation to start nigeria from, we need to be able to put the likes of egbon ffk - in jail for stealing and corruption, we need to silent militants from threatening the corporate existence of nigeria - we need to be able to block wastages in nigeria - we need to live in a society where merit is celebrated, hard work is paid for, where the likes of fayose- who was impeached, for corruption and steal -dont have the authority to come on air and papers and wish a political opponent death- because of the fact that the immunity clause may possibly be removed* which would herald his gallant walk to jail- from state house, where the likes of obanikoro - area father would be taken to eleko island where he would be taught manners and answer to atrocities committed by him* and his supporters, for dragging the military "the representatives of nigeria's sovereignty into the murky, dirty waters" of politics

This is how corruption is perpetrated in nigeria* give the MD what he wants you get your money, you don't give him you neither get your money nor do you stage your fight.
The police are also used to stage this act of corruption and that's why I say this government is corrupt everyday I go through this - and that's why I had to go back into paid employment, I wish he had recorded the act.
But for now no evidence.

Thanks Jide, but during this anticipation of a general fall just before the elections, something tells me to stick around for the resolutions of the boards on what the bonuses or dividends would be. The odds are 50:50 both ways in my opinion considering my investment profile on that stock. Either waiting or pulling out like you have suggested, i may just be screwed equally both ways. I just hope it doesn't make me use long term tactics now that i'm struggling to rake in cash with minimal losses.
This is the principle I tell my clients that need to re-engineer their portfolio's after a small loss- value the stock, jump out if possibly it does 2/3 of the value, you purchased* which maybe difficult, but they gave you 1 for 1, which means it's equivalent to N50, if they post good results about a week to the close of their registers, their stocks would gain, (and I really feel for you*) because anyway I see it - mehn, you went in when it was too high* I guess the 1 for 1 has given you twice the amount but you are short by about 1/8 of the value (N18-20bucks) to cut losses - if it does N42 based on their reports- if possibly they offer bonus issues, follow what I suggested - move out immediately after they have closed their registers* except you would have to stay in it for the long term-

I bought okomu oil when they were offering bonuses of 1:1 reason because my late uncle always said agric companies stand the test of time and they'll never fail you cos they serve the country. I really bought at a high price almost @N100 per share and a considerable volume and it plunged after the closing dates and further down it went due to electo-economic uncertainties and now i'm stuck and can't seem to pull out, my average cost is still way above N50, though i got the bonuses, but my losses there are still humongous. Any HELP Please.
You may have to cut your loses and get out of the stock- it hovering around, N30 and maybe like that for a while because of the economic indices- value of the naira- divestment from processing/packaging to actual agric, (imagine government approach) so it may loose more stay around N28 - move up to N31-36 which is its intrinsic value- we have to wait for a change of government policy* which may not happen- then the bandwagon effect of FDI' other then that except they do another 1 for 1 it can't clock N70 in the shortest time.

I have been on the forum for quite a while and I have seen a lot of my forumites drop off the site *iice* etc- but that's not what I wanted to talk about- I wanted to make reference to the value of contributions and the fact that some people can't ask questions about the happening - and how they relate, i.e falling oil prices and how this affects, value of the naira as the prices fall - what happens in an economy where the centre is highly corrupt and unrepentant - as well as blaming others for the poor policies implementation or circumvented structures of government, their are so many reasons why I find it hard to comprehend the level of myopic"ity" I just hope their could be a button seun could incorporate to ban ethnocentric contributors- and those that are positively biased to negativity- maybe I should also leave the stage like so many have left in the past*** some I can't remember-

I need to know why they do that even when most times it's against their wish. What's your advice for her? Don't you think that the guy may eventually leave her for an Anambra Lady?

Bro, it seems you got it mixed up here. Afriprud is different from UBAcap. Afriprud is former UBA registrars while Ubacap comprises other coys spurn off UBA plc ( stock broking, insurance, asset mgt etc).
I am also of the opinion that UBAcap especially, would not have had much business to do in 2014 because of the down-turn in the market (as far as share underwriting, stock broking is concerned).
Actually, I have no intentions of trading or investing in either of them for now after selling off heritage holdings grin This is the stock market and regardless of these facts, investor sentiments towards these stocks can actually get an astute trader is tasere gains. cheesy
Uba Registrars (afripud) is different from uba capital- in my own terms, I haven't seen anything unique or policy, they are taking on that would produce consistent income, or something different from what they have been doing- now for them to continue to do business profitably they decided to go Public and changed their name* honestly speaking the market cannot be judged by their previous records for so many reason* the MPR foreign direct investors funds paucity - the social-political environment is the major driving force*
If afripud can do N2.55 thou I haven't done the forecast trend at this very moment and the weighted average to determine where they are, 28k is a good offer because it equals 1/5 the value of the stock, at N2.55- but how soon can you get out of it, before it crashes further I don't foresee them climbing because of the political state of the country* after the elections in fact I see them dropping or loosing more- I doubt if UBAcap would give dividends possibly they may give right issues because of the paucity of funds - they need to retain all cash earnings - so a prudent manager will retain their earnings and raise more funds in this challenging economy. Ubacap - If they do 0.10k they may decide to give this amount and then turn around and do rights issues-
