I just heard that small and medium enterprises development agency of nigeria (SMEDAN), just closed their tenders *late info*, I also heard the same of energy regulatory commission (ERC) - I don't know how it works with these agencies, because I haven't had any transaction with them- please information about any other agency, would be highly appreciated (*we have to pay our staff salaries, and meet up- loan obligations O*) *smh* LOL- |
^all agencies "ministries/parastatals"- so far we can submit documents and hustle the contracts to make our lives better Civil Defence is an issue, the level of corruption in there is crazy in fact "smelling", immigrations also, they practical write names and collect money before you can get a contract their, that's if you lucky to be shortlisted in the first place, so let's avoid those places until we are sure some good would come out of them. |
A very important thing occurred to me - we have been talking politics, employment, government policy, but we haven't taken advantage of even the small advantages we see so mine is to start, yours is to contribute -so we could give ourselves business leads- NEPAD bid opening for small works, equipment supply computer consumables office maintenance, car maintenance etc was opened and closed yesterday 12th August NPHCDA bid opening for all contracts construction, supply of medical equipment, automobiles ambulances, bore-holes etc was closed on the 13th August- Contributions would be highly appreciated, we need leads please forget tenders journals -the corruption level in the corporations that publish their tenders are gross you wouldn't be given a fair chance, where you are given the chance- some other requirements are shielded from the tender*ers* to make it impossible to win fairly- |
You guyz pushed her to her peak, you see now! |
docadams: I was lying on the bed when I logged onto this thread and going through it sent my mind back to years of wonders in Nigerian music scene especially wit 'love can make it work, dont u know I'm falling in love.... I need u, u need me' by Alex O. Tears of fond memories cascaded down my face.Madam leave our guy for us, *nah only you*- nah Alex O days, we dey remember O! |
Can anyone still remember charlie boys *we don get away for 90-90* |
I think after he went a little quiet, we heard he traveled to sell his album internationally, in holland, blackky took over the music scene with rosy and trust unilag people he was the first student artist then they hyped him, God he was good, then came alex zitto tickle me man, around the corner was the mandators, then adewale ayuba (Mr Johnson) bursted into the scene, the dude that just came back from the U.S then, from nowhere came shina peters and that was all we heard about the earlier ones it was just in the early 90's we started hearing daniel wilson and rag muffin - he was like the local shaba ranks chakademus and pliers |
deekseen: Loved him so much back then. Played and danced to his music a lot. The voice, the boogie/bubble dance step, the relaxed hair and the fine face were part of his selling points.Where is the guy? I really missed those dance steps in secondary school then he brought out the pace - he could do, so you would believe you could that was in 1988-89, O! |
Yes - and it was hell, still is hell wasted years Lolz |
solomon111: From the various comments on this thread,i have not seen a single logical argument against the new system.Read it very well, you would understand that whether its whatever formation, they are targeting the wrong place, they can't even control what the states do, so why introduce a place which is targeted at the states its bound to fail- babs fafunwa really thought out the 6-3-3-4 system, while the 2 was left to parents, the *4* has been the issue, what does it churn out in the long run, job seekers or job makers- then selectivity and a discard for merit on the alter of certifications, that's why they are just doing all this nonsense, you want a solution to the problems read between the lines above- |
sylve11: To be honest we the commoners r not enjoying democracy.Personally, I am not at all - they are just a bunch of know nothings- |
Which kind of policy makers are these ones self, from 6-3-3-4 to 9-3-4 now 1-6-3-3-4 in less then 14years, goosh again and again scatter and re-arrange, *let people* we nigerians O! -think we are working -ministers, what nonsense!! It has always been 2-6-3-3-4 and would remain like that and any other thing is in their minds, can't they just streamline the 4 (that's where the problem is!) or make people a-par educationally, if not, make it a must for everybody to go through polytechnics, like in America before you go to university, so you have an option, you could either opt out after college, or proceed to university, your grades now determine what level and how many years you would spend there, or if you want to do a masters straight -what is all this rubbish at the basic level that they as a government can't even verify, if it is working because the basic schools and secondary schools are managed by the states - they are just scattering and re-arranging *shikena* |
toba: is it a v6? try scan the car. 02 sensor may be bad or other things. scan firstYes the scan said O2 - so I told the panel beater to fix it, the engine is more relaxed, when it is -stationary but me reaching speed peak in a few seconds, well it hasn't reached that level yet |

A word of advise if its true please when you want to change your shaft allow the engine to cool especially the Gear because air must not enter the gear box |
rume: You come across as someone who only knows about the olympics and not someone who follows athletics as an atheltic fan(correct me if I'm wrong). I can assure you that even other competitors and other nations(journalists/athletes) will take notice of her performance. It is an African Record for crying out loud and there are not many 10.7 female runners so her accomplishment while not being an olympic medal(which she already has) is worth taking note of.Well - let me, take back my words initially, because of what you have said, *Would you prefer she did nothing and turned up at the "Olympics" * she performed well, considering the fact that, we are really not an athletic loving nation, but- I just wanted us to encourage her to win that coveted gold medal, on the world stage. Its like winning the world cup, if you win the women's 100m gold at the olympics, you become the world current fastest woman, but no matter how many records you break at all these meets, they would mention it as the woman that ran the fastest time, set a world record at the london diamond olympics - believe you me, even if you don't break the a record at the olympics, in as much as you came first at the 100m dash, they would call her, the fastest woman in the world, I guess that was my position- |
Acidosis: Sir, you can design a convincing website such that the prices won't be on display for "potentials" to see. When they call, all you need to do is "negotiate" professionally. You can't rule out the "pricing mechanism", cos its bound to happen. That's the beauty of publishing, no two jobs are exactly cost*ed* the same way, because different items and products have different composition before you have the finished product, that's why it would be very difficult to give prices e.g a letter head maybe full coloured, and also have gold embossing on it and its also the same as a normal letter heading that doesn't have any gold foiling or embossing- and people can be quite funny, they would call you all sorts of names if you don't stick to your initial pricing, even with the variations - people in abuja would shout fraud so you just have to be cautious |

deene: Ol boy. U r such a fool ooo ... Who told u dat shelly ann fraser started winning Golds overnytI say this again bros, step out of your house cross the road theirs this transformer if I can remember well adjacent your house, if they call you don't answer ruuuunnnnnnn, and go and hug it, Nigerian's even as young as you are contempted with second fiddle, you don't even know what excellence is, you score an A, at a pre-degree course and you are praising yourself isn't it someone that scored A at a full Degree course, kai- do you guys want to end her career here, when there's the olympic |
Acidosis: Cool.We have a blog, but the truth is that from my market research most people don't go their because they believe the cost of the website would also add to the overall cost of any product we deliver, now looking at our target market, potential and actual, the potential would ask for the price and look for someone else to execute at a lower price, what this means is we serve as a pricing mechanism under which they should have a cost, the other actuals are govt establishments and my brother bids tenders and nepotism don't allow everyone to have a fair share to survive |
^ and for now we are far away from that goal I was thinking of taking it out of the country, *our services* but we can't compete against those that give us the raw materials (european market) neither can we go into an economy that is worst then ours, because wouldn't be able to afford our prices (that's the african market) |
Acidosis: What exactly is the goal and objective of the company?Be a world class publishing firm and advertising agency, delivering timely service products at the RIGHT PRICE, best quality |
Acidosis: Lest I forget,Any specific service idea, other then the magazine or the supreme court judgments, these are our cover products but like I said funds can sometimes be a problem. |
^ Yes, that's called gorrilla war fare marketing, but its a very funny strategy because of the cost implication, you see, most of these so called people don't go out looking for those that provide these services, they give it to those around the corner of their offices and demand the service, (which we have covered) so there are tonnes of middle men, here and there, so even if you walk up to the end user, you are not certain of the fact that when he needs the service, he would remember you! In respect of the fact that he has your call/business card a calendar is hung up in his office, that he remembers to check the date from, and some of these competition already have the template of production of these organisations, so its cheaper for them to reproduce, unlike -when you are offering them the service for the first time, and another challenge is they always want the best quality at the below the lowest cost, because they believe its directly from the factory sort of. |
For sometime I have been designing and developing different campaign designs for people and corporate organisations, but now its my turn, and I am in trouble, I can't seem to create a demand for my organisations services. firstly, we are into printing and publishing and we have a wide range of equipments, but that's not the issue, the issue is, I have thought of all marketing principles and theories, using reduced prices, discount sales and credit advances, and in the process, we have had, to write of a lot of bad debts, I used a lot of personnel selling about 12-14 personnel to open the market, and had to drop them after incurring huge losses, but beyond this their are a few organisations that are still calling the shots in some other places way further then where I am, now I looked at the immediate environment and tried to come up with another product, but the market didn't buy it, a magazine, we have the right to do some other publications but we need the business to roll on its own, as my new marketing campaign design is *as turnover-from demand for the services* before we can diversify into that area, now I have thought of the encircling strategy, but the cost implication for an organisation as small as ours in terms of working capital is difficult, in fact, the larger players in the market are using this strategy mixed with nepotism, and the location is not in a high density state, like lagos where their would be a demand for anything, we are based in a place where high end consumers are based *Abuja* at this juncture i am forced to look for answers, beyond what I am aware of! |
amAZEing: Which one any member of ya family don break?Shuuu, hug transformer nah!! Dem tell you say we be antelope for my house, wey dey run, Me I want to see an olympic medal around her neck, and not these small competitions *shekena*- smh |
Nah so so local records they would be breaking instead of their eyes on the larger picture *The Olympics* diamond, london this, johannesburg that! Nonsense |
wirinet: Devaluation in isolation is not the answer, it would be counter productive. Remember the arguments for SAP in 1984. The naira was devalued from about N22 to the dollar to about N80, all it caused was hyper inflation. And now its N160, has it help local production? no.Let's look at the history of the japanese Yen and why america has been begging them to re-value, the their lies the answer to the currency devaluation, now the idea is to stop everything from coming in for a certain period only basic items and nigeria's population in africa is too big to be ignored by any rightful thinking business concern, like I said before we need to encourage either by crook and force assembly organisation like toyota et al, we have started doing our local phones, but we need to encourage computer manufacturers, electronic garget makers like LG, and samsung to establish production lines, with only one intent transfer of technology, develop industrial clusters and supply goddam power 24-7 to those industrial parks, sell it to manufacturers -and tell them we are closing our borders, also inform them their would be Tax rebates for the same period of 10-15years if they come, and they would have what to produce with, the rest they would put in place, encourage fashion designers to come and open offices in nigeria, buy machinery that do the plastic hair that is driving our women insane, I dey admire them die sha! to come into the market, and devalue our currency so it would force these manufacturers to create an export line - well like I use to say NO DISCUSSION we have a clueless president that is not intelligent at all, and all his ministers are just lecturers not entrepreneurs- |

The obvious truth about developing and developed countries is the direction Agriculture is not the way to go, technology is the answer and that's what developed countries sell *TECHNOLOGY* mechanized agriculture, is technology, the answer is technology equipment machinery that can help us manufacture produce, we have to go steal it, or force them to invest in nigeria by establishing assembly plants. And if any government says agriculture os the way we may have to wait a little longer then we expected to develop, we need agriculture for only one reason feed ourselves and not exportation *that is a plus if we reach that level* these people with all their certificates can not see, they are only book intelligent |
They want the CBN to not devalue the naira LOLz! What they should have done a long time ago!! Hahahahaha, when Nigerian's are going to dubai to buy clothes, shoes, bags, hair, luxury apartments, they are going to dubai to spend money or parties and champagne, *maybe I would do the same, party up*, but let's look at this, most of this money is stolen money, imagine how much funds has left nigeria and is leaving regularly, on hotel bills, plane tickets hotel reservations, we are going to china also, to buy clothing items wall the great china wall, japan to buy cars, so much is leaving, so also to Ghana for education, south africa, united kingdom on education matters, india on health issues to treat things we could locally treat, if some of these people, were not allowed to leave the shores of this country OH nigeria OH nigeria Hmmm you people would not kill me!, see the only revenues coming in -oil and company taxes, Directors, ministers special advisers, senators and Honorable's, are no longer storing their money in naira there is a high demand for the dollar, because of the value, go to their parties and see how it is been handed out*dollars O*, and what's may be the reason for storing their money in foreign currency, maybe because at any point in time - if a serious govt comes into power the features of the naira may be changed, and *Gbam* they would be affected, now rather then direct funds to developing the income generating functions, even if we may make loss on the initial investment in SME's, we are still importing refined oil, our industries are being killed by government policies, bank interest rates are over the roof, bad debts are not being written off, everything is just going wrong, and no honest direction is being charted out for the economy, political rubbish is what is playing out everywhere, imagine this, housing estates for the police, in which the guest of honor should be the minister of police affairs, max the SGF, but who do we see? commissioning trivial issues of housing for the already corrupt Police force- President GEJ see the harassment that is happening in police stations- we need this structural adjustment programme - our borders need to be closed for at least 10-15years, the size of the civil service should be reduced, and those working their should be paid a pittance - just 18k, to discourage people for looking for government jobs |
This is what we lack, a leader but what we have is clueless bosses- I can't talk again - once again NO DISCUSSION
