Family › Re: Violence: Again The Double Standards by olajide8(m): 11:46pm On Sep 13, 2014
aisha2: A few months ago I did a post on the Jay Z Solange elevator scandal, unfortunately the tsunami wiped it off.

Now with the Ray Rice issue the issue of double standards is glaring.

A woman attacks a man, he fights back and he is the criminal. Same thing would have happened to Jay Z if he hit back.

Women should not go around hitting men because they have the weaker se-x card same way men should not go around hitting women adults should handle conflicts like adults.

If anyone behaves like a thug man or woman then they have brought on themselves treatelment reserves for thugs.
If a woman feels slapping or hitting a man is the way to resolve conflicts then they should also expect slaps back.

I don't buy the smaller hands argument, abuse is more emotional than physical hitting is hitting.

All of a sudden everyone is awake and condemning this even president Obama but I didn't hear his voice when solange hit Jay Z.

We can't win the war against gender based violence if the wat is tilted to one side. Till we balance the standards and show clearly that man or woman no one has the right to go hitting another we won't win.
Violence has no gender, no gender has monopoly of being abuser or victim. Stop violence against person's let there be a universal standard for all.
This double standards is what makes my EX walk around claiming I beat her- where as she beat me- I was protecting myself when she almost strangled me to death- when I slapped her back that's like 16years ago* double standards politics, double standards employment, double standards in everything* women- its God sha!

henrysam: We are very funny in this country. Most of the post here claims government is lying without giving us evidence that will counter government assertion.
If sheriff was in Chad does that stop the president from having bilateral discussion on security with thechadian president.
Sheriff name was not in the list of government delegations to Chad.
I just wonder when we are going to grow up in this country. Ug it has been fake news from BBC news or sharareporters most of the op here will believe.we cannot be negative to our government and expect positive things to happen to us.
That is why we remain like this.
If you believe the nigerian government - you would believe our economy would crumble within 6months if the subsidy on petroleum products wasn't removed totally(corruption) - no be sure-P, dem channel the same removed partial subsidy too - did nigeria economically- crumble?
Why are people so gullible in nigeria*

hansad: Note that GEJ swore to protect you and all of us from invaders bearing in mind that Nigeria's instrument of coercion - the armed forces - shall provide the firing power to do the defence job. But when the armed forces is divided due to religious loyalty, as is the case now, do you expect GEJ to defend us and Nigeria's integrity with his bare hands? Or why has Nigeria army been unable to defeat Boko Haram since? If your Boko comrades did not declare war against GEJ administration RIGHT FROM DAY ONE, GEJ administration could have gone far in providing the amenities you enumerated. GEJ has outperformed his prdecessors by all standards, only thing is that bigots like you who want to return Nigeria to the hands of known haters of democracy and religious extremists remain blind.
What a shallow minded point of view, from a Pro-GEJ(est)- firstly, I am not a muslim and I am sure a better christian then you- as commander in chief who hires and fires "like in the past" fire who should be fired in the military-if the job is not done and hire who would get the job done- no sentiments, moreso do the thwarts BH know who has sentiments for them or not? At least we know families that shouldn't loose loved ones are loosing them by the day, due to this senseless delay of decision making. He should make timely decisions, and stop wasting time -for every second that passes these thwarts gain an upper hand and to correct your mopic(ness) the military is not a force of coercion its a force to protect our territorial integrity, from outside and within
Secondly, excuses plus effort is equal to no performance and the only yardstick for measurement of performance is result- so to me he has not performed, and construction of roads is the governments responsibility and not a favour, power is governments responsibility and not a favour, doing them extensively and delivering on them would show he is efficient-
All jonathan's economic policies are fashioned from abacha's policies - which to me, were one of the best, but the methods of implementation - below per.
Thirdly, stating an example- the ebola fund this government set aside, we heard the minister of health said it was for the purchase of logistics vehicles rather then build first class isolation center's - is it until you are affected directly that you would start to think with your head and not your feet*
I may still need to take you up on the performance of past administrations versus the present one ceteris paribus*

texaco1: the simple undiluted truth is that this case has gotten out of hand and from all indications it will be very difficult to dislodge boko haram quickly from borno and that is even if they don't make more incursions into other states. We may well have to accept the fact that they are here to stay ,with the way the fg is combating them.
Hmmm* thou I beg to differ "with regards to the - here to stay statement" - I am of the belief, that these guys want to enjoy whatever they loot when they leave power (Presidency and the service chiefs) - and because of this, they are not doing the need-ful - people within that area know theirs a war and they would either be killed by the insurgents that's, if they don't leave, so they to me want to die- we also know that for their to be peace, their has to be collateral damage from the nigerian army- so what's stopping the order-

If this is true- kudos, may God continue to give you more victories, "to the men that put their lives on the line for me, you deserve my respect"- thou, that's why I never joined the army "I am too selfish, to die for people that would insult me"
Firstly, what is the responsibility of government to me ? Security, education, good roads, and an enabling environment, right to live, right to talk(freedom of speech), etc.
If some of these above are my rights and that's why he was voted into power "GEJ" - and he cannot provide security, his a failure and if driving away insurgents is not my right to security- me I don't know why GEJ is still in power, I MUST STATE IT - ITS MY RIGHT TO BE SECURE-
TAN if GEJ- cannot construct good roads and provide affordable portable water, and I don't have to dig a borehole? - I don't know why his in power- its not an achievement for him, its my right- if some useless thwarts less then 1,500 of them, would share themselves and territorise nigeria and 10,000 men can't wipe them out then -GEJ you have not fulfilled the basic/fundamental reason -why you were selected secure nigeria, and secure me!
Politics › Re: Boko Haram: FG Acquires 12 Fighter Jets by olajide8(m): 12:22pm On Sep 01, 2014
The most painful thing about this is that
1. Immediately after this insurgency issue is settled they wouldn't maintain the jets
2. I doubt if they have trained the pilots for these jets yet
3. I hope these boko thwarts, don't learn how to fly because, they may go and hijack a plane to pursue their mission - and in all honesty, I believe they are using our own armoury to fight us- ransacking barracks, and ammunition dumps - of the nigerian army- police officers leaving their APC (from a secure environment) and bolting into the forest(an un-secure environment)

whatlyf: the most annoying is to see nigerians insult the military battling the insurgents. Some are even wishing the military to fail. I sincerely appreciate the soldiers for risking their lives for the sake of myself and family. Honestly, the Presidency need to look into their welfare and if possible create a special fund for the servicemen drafted to fight the insurgents. This funds should be handled by the Finance Ministry or the Defense Ministry but not the Service Chiefs.
Again, the Ministry of Financehuh - that is not capable of monitoring how the supposed budget they are releasing every quarter is being spent or stolen ? A ministry that releases the budget on paper and never gets executed or better still is stolenhuh The service chiefs are still better then the ministry of finance-
Romance › Re: Real Reasons Why Men Cheat On Beautiful Women by olajide8(m): 8:12pm On Aug 30, 2014
Hmm* men don't cheat, because its in their DNA - I guess men cheat because women create a level of uncertainty/insecurity in the relationship -indirectly.
So they do it to boost confidence, a beautiful woman would go out, even with a wedding ring on her finger* and get asked out- she keeps some of this info to herself and claims, she doesn't have to talk about everything to her man! Mistake talking about it would put his mind at rest! - beauty intoxicates them, they claim its their right, to be asked out and to meet other men, but its not a mans right to do such?* if he does -he is cheating!
God dey!
2) she has been home since morning without make up and decides she's going out to see a friend and gbam!!! she turns into the most beautiful girl in nigeria MBGN where as her husband is home, his asking himself I don't want to be left all alone in the middle of his life- loneliness can make a man run mad- so he asks himself, who is she doing this for- other men? So the man, goes on a tit for tat mission( NB- if he talks to much they would say his jealous, we men get ego)
3) Finally have you seen some of those girls out der nowadays - they are simply EOD's and they know her to treat men - you call they pick your calls no matter the amount of times, place or period, thy don't allow you to spend your money too- where this your fine babe/wife - you go call tire - b4 she picks*
So many more reasons dey O!

I have been wondering for sometime now if we have a problem of forward thinking or we just generally believe in "when we reach the bridge we would cross it" notion- now my issue is if the federal govt would deploy over 30,000/40000 uniformed and un-uniformed men to just a governorship* election, what would now happen to the presidential election which would be holding in about 28-30states? are they going to deploy the whole armed forces to this, would they be sufficient enough to cover the rest of nigeria?- now rigging in this country is so simple, and it is starring s in the face, because we are so beclouded by non-issues - to rig an election, all you have to do -as an incumbent is, ensure the parts where your competition has a strong hold you deny them voters cards or materials, and put masked men wearing black with guns which are not normal sized their- or you limit the number of those to be given, the voters cards in their strong hold - while in your own strong hold, make sure everyone gets their voters card including under-aged if the need be to make up for your numbers, in this case the PDP govt is in control of the machinery, and they are using it to the detriment of the masses.

I was listening to the INEC electoral commissioner in charge of abuja, while he was making reference to voters cards, and he said their are only 4,000 persons registered to vote voters in abuja, a city of over 6m people?- well on several occasions I have tried to register to no avail - someone would come and scatter the place and the registering officers would pack their things and walk away, previous elections "OBJ era, it wasn't like that -I was able to register and collect a temporary voters card.
Now what they do is to ensure all the political appointees, P.A and S.A alone to govt., officials are the voters, its time to change this dirt. Let us get up and not accept this trash again- enough is enough- let us all get our voters card by fire and by force.
