I want to personally acknowledge my good $ great frnd Kbs468 dat has been with us and will alwys be even if he is gonna join us in som months time.

He graduated frm one of d schls in dis state we are goin to be staying for almost a year.
So no doubt, he knws enough abt d state.
Here goes few of d tips he gave me about 2months ago during our chat.

Kbs468:
The state is not industrialised as it is one of the creation of late Gen. Sani Abacha, hence structure-wise, it is under develop with a moderate cost of living.


The state is generally peaceful, security-wise, with the tensed hours being the electioneering periods and occassional up-rising caused by Herds men's invasion of farm lands just as being experienced once in a while in Benue and Plateau states.


Power supply used to be a nightmare but surprisingly, the trend has changed since july just like we are experiencing in Abuja now from information gathered


The people of the state are peasant farmers with only the rich politicians owning commercial farms. In those days, farmers make mega bucks from the sale of 911-rocker loads of yams in warri, Delta state but that has changed as the youths now embrace education and the elderly are on the decline both in strenght and numbers.


Business strives better in environment playing host to higher institutions.

1. Keffi-Nasarawa state University,Keffi

2. Nasarawa-Fed. Poly. Nasarawa

3. College of Education,Akwanga

4. Lafia (state capital)-Fed. Uni. Lafia, Nasarawa state poly. Lafia, Faculty of Agric. and Agricultural extension of Nasarawa state university, keffi.


Jobs if available are usually reserved for the indigines except for the promise of an automatic job offer to a corp member who marries a female indigine made by the Governor which for now has not been practically witnessed.


The people are welcoming, accomondating and friendly to all and sundry

yes there is non in the hostel .Just fan and light, some of the hostel fan are not even working .
make sure you are not caught with the pix above , if it is seen before you go in to the camp it will be seized . I was able to sneak mine in though.

Did u redeploy? If yes, where are u serving now? If u left frm lagos, how were u able to get to nass?

let me also remind you that there is light in keffi camp but you can't use or connect an extension . as an electrical dude I took with me electrical cable, socket and extension basic electrical tools like pliers and screw driver . I Created a power outlet within my bunk where we charge our gadget ,I normally disconnect all visible wirrings before hitting the parade ground until the very day I forgot to do so, before we all came back the entire light source has been disconnected and we hAve been warned not to Connect any electrical gadget. through out the rest of my stay in that camp I was charging my gadget in Miami.

Do u mean there is no common wall sockets in hostels/rooms? And is somfin like dis (pics below) allowed in d hostel?

I was posted to borno state , so I have my nysc camp in nassarawa stream 2 corp member.
Nassarawa camp at located at keffi just by the road. these are things I have to say about keffi camp....


the environment is always neat.


guys toilet are bad , the calibre of corps members that would be converging in the hostel make it worse. You might have to take your bath outside or go to mami most of the time to take your bath.

mami food try sha at least it is quite different from the poison dish as food by nysc .


I don't think you will be needing a mosquito net as the camp environment is always fumigated.

the church and mosque are always available if you are the religious type . I can speak of the mosque , there
is just enough water in the mosque .....always .

there is water in Nassarawa camp but you would definitely be on a queue .


make sure you hide very well your clipper

or it will be seized by the gate before you go in to the camp .

get ready for fire alarm , during my time they did two different fire alarm and each lasted for at least 3 hours.

the soldiers are friendly to some extent but the camp commandant is a fuktard.


If you must attend lecture go early or you end up standing through out the lecture time.


It actually depend on those whom you shared hostel with , in my hostel especially the guys around my bunk we all de claim big boi no body de move things.

Bro if u check d tym I posted wot u quoted, it is early hours of today. Past 3am, long bfor we started chatting. I did dat to call ur attention $ hasten d acceptance since I dnt knw whch u are gonna see first.
