since you are learning networking I'm advise you to get something with 10/100/1000 gigabit Ethernet.if you cannot then it's still okay tho.you'll definitely buy another later

4gb ram is okay, provided you aren't playing badass 3d games like call of duty

Your hard drive ,try seeing if you can get drive with 7200rpm ..that's the only acceptable drive (personally) if Its not an SSD.

Usb 3.0 is faster then usb 2.0 ..but many devices you will ever use in Nigeria is usb 2.0 so no cause for worry.
Infact,for me,the only usb 3 device I have used is a hard drive.

copying a 10GB file from a usb2.0 hard drive will take approximately 5mins but will take 1.5mins in usb 3.it's okay to have at least 1usb3.0 port.which you do

Hi. This write-up is a spec of a computer RAM.
It means this computer has a single 4gb RAM stick ram with a clock speed of 1600mhz.quite fast

It has DDR3L specs.which means the system has a 3rd generation Intel core processor.this particular RAM uses a lower voltage and hence better and less power hungry.

quad core? For intel pentium,core i5 or core i7 which of the quad core of the following cpu are you reffering to?but mind it pentium quadcore is better than its dualcore but nt better than the core i's but due to the dollar hitch it is prefarable

I am referring to Quadcore for intel pentium.
D dollar hitch is d major factor dat has limited me to dat.

NOTE: DONT expect a single laptop to meet all your need.

If you have a separate drive for media files (mine is a 2tb drive in my CD drive caddy),a transcend 128gb ssd will be okay.its quite affordable

It's cheap these days,but dollar rate isn't smiling.
Even in a low end system,an ssd will work wonders.

In all you do ,please try to get an ssd,the performance and battery boost is too superb to ignore.

Get the Lenovo G50-30 Intel Pentium Quad Core 4gb/500gb with a 1GB Nvidia Graphics selling for around 100-110k or HP 15 AMD Quad Core 6GB/1TB with 2GB Radeon Graphics selling for 130k.

Any brand and specs from core i3 3rd gen and 4GB DDR3 will do cos you don't need high performance system for learning networking.

Even Pes16 will run on an Intel graphics HD4000

The only special consideration for web design should be an SSD.very important

I would have suggested a budget system with good battery life, but you included gaming..
For efficient gaming, you require an Intel core i5 or i7, a dedicated graphics card and good display panel..
You can check Lenovo ThinkPad E550. Slim, good battery life, nice display, i7 and Radeon graphics card.. Check out the price on Amazon
