People must make sacrifices for the country to grow. Some may have to give up their time, expertise, allowances, selfish ambitions and so on. Today we are talking about cutting down recurrent Expenditure, yet people want 92billion to be paid in allowance. It's outrageous. We have to look inward and see how capital expenditure ACN be prioritise. For me, everybody should shed some forms of allowances. |

I think say na only me oooooo In a characteristic fashion, anytime Boko Haram releases a video, it attracts over 20,000 views on YouTube within 1hour. Since yesterday, Shekau was reported to have released a video yet no one appears to have seen it. Is sometime wrong somewhere? What is the rationale behind the report? |
Now that they are aware majority of Nigerians are tired of the activities of these insurgents and the death of innocent citizens and have supported GEJ in the deployment of troops, they won't raise their voice again. LAI mohammed has gone into hiding. |
Go to any police station and table your case, or better still, they will direct you to an SSS office |
If its not GEJ,then it's penis sucker ![]() |
Diversification of the economy in full scale. If GEJ transforms the importing economy he met on ground to an export based economy, he would recorded yet another landmark achievement. Goodnews, fresh air |
Islamization of the country is an impossible dream. Also, that the govt has decided to grant them amnesty doesn't mean that it is on its kneel. It only goes to show that the Oga at the top is a listening president. Northern elders have cried out, traditional rulers notably the Sultan has also come out, politicians and many others have canvassed for amnesty. Many too have queried the consequences of these attacks, holding that if amnesty will guarantee peace, then govt should engage the sect. Today GEJ has decided to act on public opinion. He is exploring avenue to facilitate peaceful coexistence. Islamization is out of it, peace is the desired result. Where it is necessary to commit funds, such may be in furtherance of the ongoing poverty alleviation programme. Nigeria is a heterogenous society and the constitution recognizes that. No individual or group can intimidate Nigerians into submission. |
Now the TINUBUS are afraid cos Awo followers know that the ideals which were promoted by the late Sage have given way to corruption. Today, TINUBU and co have sacrificed the plight of an ordinary yoruba man on the altar of greed and self aggrandizement. Let the real awoist come and take over the centre stage, we need real change |
It is on this note that the security agencies have to be celebrated and encouraged. I feel they need our cooperation in the ongoing fight against terrorism. |
bloggernaija: Does this mumu even have a clue what democracy is all about. Desperate opposition? When people lack the ability to sustain rational argument and articulate their position, they resort to abuse. I think that is cheap. The simple response to people in that category is ignore them, they are clowns |
They will be worst than the ruling party. They can't be trusted. Bakare has said it all |
Die by bullet |
Wrong reason to engage in crime. The senators have not been caught, but u have. Now u will face the law alone. Smh |
@ poster, Pack your family along with you to Maiduguri for Boko haram hunting. Your head and part of your family body will be sent back home for burial. Olooshi! The fight and present method by Nigeria govt. is poor and never in consideration of those in remote area where Boko haram operates. Have you ask yourself why someone in age of 15 will carried up arms against his government? Is kill them all as adopted by our president a solution? Are they killing son or direct family of those in same offices with them? Do you even know evil orchestrated by our government is worse than boko haram? Go to bed and wake up with your senses.
What solutions have u then proffered? If the sect claims to be fighting becos of poverty a, why are they killing the poor? Farmers, traders, teachers, local? What is their basic demands? Isn't it to Islamize the country again? Is that what u want? If govt fails, is it enough reasons to kill others? Bros use your head for once. |
grafikii: Like they exposed the kidnappers in the east. Go and face a terrorist and know what it feels likeHow does it feels and what must be done? |
It is unfortunate that Nigerians have not truly seen a sincere move by the northern elites to address this issue. And people are forced to think that they are supporting the group. It's unfortunate that life no longer means anything to them. they have politicize everything. We must rise against these people. |
This madness must stop. We must all fight |
eGuerrilla: @OP,GEJ didn't unilaterally grant them pardon. The decision was a product of a clearly thought exercise. Can we simply say that all opposition Governors that attended the NCS were fool? Or could easily be manipulated by Gej? Are they members of PDP? Why haven't they condemned the pardon? Why didn't they disagree with the move? Why was the call for pardon not confronted with stiff opposition? People must know how this thing works. They saw the need to grant them pardon, it should remain so. GEJ didn't, NCS did. |
He only said people should prevail on GEJ to grant them license. With license, their activities can't be termed illegal. His allegation that the foreigners are lifting our oil was brushed aside. You see? |
gulfer: Me think the state's PPRO position and statement on this will be that, 'the men are actually scaling the fence as a strategic part of the plan to ambush and cordon off the robbers where there will be minimal civilian casualty' LWTMBAD. lol |
Aigbofa: Who took the picture, the armed robbers?NA investigative journalism we dey do now o. Also pictures are not hard to take these days. |
ypzilanti: The police will claim they were jumping the fence to the scene of the crime. Lol.This is the back of the police. No van is parked at the back, they are stationed in the compound. They just took the backyard. Lol Usain Bolt won't see these guys back |
The games was just an avenue for IGP and co to thief money. I wonder why these people can't just bury their selfishness and reposition the force for once. They are always exposing their deficiency, opening themselves to ridicule. |
If issues are not cleared or correctly presented, people could misrepresent facts just to hoodwink unsuspecting Nigerians |
The reported pardon granted to some Nigerians appear to be generating mixed reactions. While some are condemning the move, others are hailing the Council of state. The anti pardon proponents argue that Alami who incidentally was a beneficiary should not have been granted pardon, against the backdrop of the ongoing fight against corruption. They also query the process solely becos he is from Bayelsa state and a former boss of Gej. Nigerians! why politicise such political exercise? Is he not qualified to be pardoned? Most people have not even taken time to study how this thing works. They've not asked to know those that constitute the council of state. Well for the benefit of doubt, let's say A pardon is defined in criminal law as an official act of forgiving a crime. A pardon may be granted under the executive powers of a governor or the President. By granting a convicted person a pardon, the conviction is eradicated from the records, the person is freed from further punishments and penalties, and may not be retried for the same offense. A pardon may be granted to persons for such reasons as advanced age, acts proving rehabilitation, unfairness of trial proceedings, doubts about guilt of the convicted person, or terminal illness. It is usually based upon a notion of undeserved punishment. A pardon does not indicate that the person pardoned is not guilty, but that they are forgiven and no longer deserving of punishment. Now, who are those responsible for granting pardon? The Nigerian constitutions says the council of state. Who are the council of state members? We have, present and former heads of state, vice president, attorney general, Chief Justice of the federation and all governors. Before a person is considered for pardon, he is expected to apply formerly to the council of state, and the council will deliberate on the issue. Most times, his actions, behaviors and contributions to national growth, peace, law and order are cardinal prerequisite for pardon. If these conditions are met, then the council will unanimously okay the pardon for such individual. Did Alami meet these conditions? THE ANSWER IS YES. HE APPLIED, HE HAS BEEN MONITORED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS, HE HAS SHOWN REMORSE, HE IS CURRENTLY INVOLVED IN DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS IN THE NIGER DELTA. HE PARTICIPATED IMMENSELY IN THE EFFORT TO RESETTLE FLOOD VICTIMS, HE IS CURRENTLY PREACHING AGAINST MILITANCY, OIL THEFT AND PIRACY IN THE REGION. HABA WHY SHOULD HE NOT BE CONSIDERED. LASTLY, NIGERIANS CAN'T FAULT THE PROCESS THAT LED TO HIS PARDON, THIS IS BECOS PERSONALITIES LIKE GOWON, ATIKU, IBB, BUHARI, OSHIOMOLE, FASHOLA, BABANGIDA ALIYU, OBASANJO, SHAGARI, CJN, AREGBESOLA, EKWUEME AND OTHERS UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED IT. LET'S KNOW THIS, GEJ DIDN'T GRANT THEM PARDON, THE COUNCIL DID. |
Well spoken |
We are waiting and watching. |
There was a country |
Whaaaaaaat? Is this for real? Hmmmmmmm First to comment sha |
This man is indeed foolish. For the sake of clarity, when an individual retweets, it means the tweet reflects his ideology, enjoys his endorsement, sympathy or consent. It means the tweet has gained your approval, and so you are drawing the attention of your followers to it. Elrufai retweeted @zeebook's tweet, that was blasphemous in character. The implication is that of mockery. All Christians know that one of the cardinal commandments of God is that thou shall not use the name of God in vain. Imagine Elrufai identifying God's name intimately with a woman. The tweet obviously, is suggestive of Muslim misrepresentation of the good works Jesus did while on earth. Perhaps Elrufai was waiting for an opportunity to blaspheme, untill this one presented itself. Having been beaten into shape by reactions, he was forced to apologized. But posting this article on his Facebook page indicates that the apology he offered was false, forced, or withdrawn. Now he has come out to defend himself. We all know what this singular act could have generated if it was prophet Mohammed that was to be involved. We have seen islamic events in faraway country having spillover effects here in Nigeria. We have witnessed severally how Muslims burnt churches, killed Christians and so on, all inthe name of blasphemy. This is a man that aspires to become Nigeria's president come 2015, a man with little or no idea of our religious dynamism. This is a man that has shown today that the only religion that matters is his. Well, I'm happy it happened now, now we know our common enemy. We are waiting for him to rear his head. |
It is only in Nigeria that an agency established by law to protect citizens turns around to be the peoples nightmare. Anyways I'm not surprised. Its in their DNA to commit or aid crime. Just hope Gej does the right thing immediately. |
