Olanrewaju92 and Instructor001 thanks for your efforts to enlighten me. What I actually intended doing is not to go for interview with the block account document but to use it first to get appointment date while I await the sponsorship letter which I will present on the interview day as a proof of adequate financial resources. I understand that one can use any admission letter to book appointment date while waiting for the admission letter of the school one is actually interested in a bid to save time in situations where enrollment deadline is not too far away. I was hoping the same may be applicable here.
As stated above on the image,
There's still some time. My advice still remains u getting that letter at hand or telling ur sponsor to send it via mail b4 it gets to u here via courier. All interview case as said earlier would be treated in respect to the new policy of ur 6 weeks timing.
Hope I made some clarity. No shake, German people dey wait for our arrival.

Happy democracy to you all, I just got my admission letter this afternoon and need a little clarification from the gurus in the house. I want to open a block account immediately and book my interview so as to beat the enrollment deadline (1st August to 24th September) but someone has promised me a sponsorship letter upon getting admission. And it's actually the sponsorship letter that I will go for the visa interview with, so my question is will it raise a red flag if I book interview with block account documents and come for the interview with sponsorship letter? Danke
To my best of knowledge, I don't think using a sponsorship letter is an issue but what I know is its impossible to go for interview using the blocked account as a source of financial support and later waiting on an A.M because u hv a sponsorship letter. How V.O want take know. Guy chill and get ur sponsorship letter first then u can book for interview even as the new policy stipulates that's interview cases would be treated along the 6 weeks timing on ur admission letter.
My €0.50c on this, let the gurus in the house come shed more light.
Guten morgen.

Thanks Olanrewaju for this detailed explanation.

But you didnt answer no 2 of my question , pls I need to know as my originals are currently not with me. Thanks.
Guten morgen,
In respect to the second question, for interview just take along any documents u know (abeg, make e be original - at least to prove some level of authenticity and genuineness in the presence of the VO u meet). It would be worthwhile even ur birth certificate. I'm kinda sure the way they treat case of Mr.A might be different from that of Mr.B
All in all, our prayer is that our case be different (that's in positive feedback)

We shall all fall in this winter let our enemies go on holiday and never come back (Amin)

How do people fund their blocked account considering all the recent problems with the Nigerian banking system?

I was thinking A-form, but that's mainly for tuition fees and you'll need a school's tuition invoice and the payment can only be made to institutional bank accounts.

So how can one transfer money to his own blocked account?

@Olanrewaju92 your informed perspective will be helpful.
Form A still works if u meet d right banker ... Ú will Need to get breakdown of living expense invoice from your school. That's little I know of.

U could make more research from previous pages too. Sallam

Good day people, happy Sunday to you all!

Please I have some questions that requires clarification

1. I have someone that is willing to give me sponsorship letter but he said I shd find out how its done ie the procedure...can someone pls explain to me?

2. Do I have to go for interview with the originals of all my documents? Esp study documents? I was reading thru the checklist and saw it highlighted.

Please people make una answer me ejoor, biko. Na beg I dey beg ooo
Your sponsor needs to make an appointment at the Ausländerbehörde in his city.

They would give he/she a date to come in, as well as the required documents to bring along to verify that he/she is suitable to be your sponsor for your visa. It cost 25€

Once your sponsor has fulfilled all the necessary requirement, he would be issued a document, which is the sponsorship letter, duly stamped (that is the sponsorship letter). He needs to send the copy to you as the embassy needs to see the original format. You can ask that he/she scans it before sending it via courier, as you would need it for requesting a date for your visa interview.
[quote]All what your sponsor needs from you is your full name (as it appears on your passport) date of birth birth and your address here in Nigeria (for the courier)

@bold, what are you answering? I asked if interviews were conducted in Abuja also or only Lagos.
Lagos is designated to the western and southern states while abuja is for northern states. In interview case, it's mostly Lagos but when there's flood of visa applicants, abuja would also be used. The gurus in the house come shed more light.

Is it possible to do Visa interview in Abuja or it's only done in Lagos?

And is non-appearance possible?
I'm 101% sure of u appearing for the interview whilst they wait on u to fund ur blocked account to get ur A.M notification thereafter. Non-appearance keeh, this is not Canada where u won't appear and after all the financial expenses disbursed to build their economy na still refusal. Abeg talk about Germany joooooooor

Secondly will there be negative consequences of this to the student huh?

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Olanrewaju92(m): 6:16am On May 24, 2017
From my above highlighted, technically i don't think you stand any chance. All I see is ''purpose of visit refusal''. I may sound blunt but it is the gospel truth I make onto you.

I would want to seize this opportunity to encourage some of you guys here especially those who must have applied with pgd/c and got refused once/twice as the case may be. The broken heart you get when refused as a result that your second class lower degree result couldn't get you masters admission in Canada and you just want to spend millions for PGD. I would want to advice such fellows to narrow their search to Europe, especially GERMANY and embrace the free tuition education in their education even in masters. As long as your CPGA is from 3.0 or better in our grading system and schools have your programs completely(100%) taught in English, you stand a big chance. Why not embrace this opportunity than continuously giving yourself emotional pains. Don't tell me language barrier b/c your international program is never taught in German and it is also easier to learn the language if you know you don't want to continue staying in naija.

I made similar post last year. 6 guys who were silent readers on this canada thread after being refused are in Germany studying their masters program, tuition free, working and earning Euros, I got to join them in their international group c*** this morning as one sent me PM yesterday. One on their behalf, who left last month told me michV that your brought hope to my life. I may want to tell you that the very same guy had 3rd class and he is now in one of the top 15 schools in Germany studying masters right now. This morning he called me again and said michV send me your account number,to be contd wink .. Germany is the giant amidst the European nations and ranked no.3 in their educational system globally. Those going for pdg/pgc on here and getting refused for visa should embrace this opportunity.
As widely known TRUTH is always bitter, MichV has a point here but to whom this useful information is for make use of it as time is the most important thing to take cognisant of (very wicked cos him no get time to wait). Ki Eni ti oni eti ko gbo.

BTW, MichV u no dey reply pm's. How about that Uni-assist documentation processing, the status Don changed. Abeg reply my pm, we get yarn or burst me for that DIE BESPRECHUNG syd

Dude stop blowing hot air and say things as its.

Don't lie about how things work in other countries just because you preferred Germany for free tuition fees.

1. German embassy also refuse Nigerians visa for so many reasons

2. You don't get hold of the whole amount in your blocked account when you get to German

3. You still have to pay monthly insurance which varies depending on your age at the time of application.

Yes studying in Germany is tuition fee free but its not free in real sense of it.

Telling people an honest truth will help them make an informed decision.

If the German bank or embassy tells me the E8700 is for me, then I don't have any problem. I'd do a good economical job - pay for only basic necessities.
Guy step up, the money is urs that's why it's called a blocked account. When u get to Germany u get access to it. The real deal is no one is taking advantage of ur financial buoyancy if u have the €8000 on ground for payment.
If u try UK, US, Canada for study matter eeeehn na all una family and village members go contribute money (sorry being vulgar but I'm truthful here) for u after which dem fit deny u sef say ur account no dey legit or genuine because dem no trust Nigerians. Funny enough with ur hard earned money wey u get legitimately say u wan go develop deir country, dem still fit deny U visa. Dem no send u come oooo because Dem bliev b say even if Dem give Nigerians visa deir trust for us is not more than 5%

Good, try and get information when it's need arises before giving people false impression about the German policies.

I can attest to you that what the German government is offering not even our own bastardised Nigeria can offer.
Lemme make a point to you and you can make ur research via the UK, US and Canadian study Permit Visa thread --- with your hard earned millions of Naira, this 3 countries will deny U visa if u can't convince or prove to their VO's what you gonna offer them as if say na so dem good reach and everybody for there na upper class citizen. U see people talking about #25-30m and still fighting hard to get Canadian study permit --- Shay Ogun laiye niihuh undecided
whereas here in Germany, with ur admission letter and ur blocked account of #3.5-4.0m / German sponsorship letter, u re in Germany str8 up.

Germany to me still remain the best destination for students as matter stands

But seriously it's not that easy to raise 4M. Tuition free. Tuition free. Is it not the same thing as schooling in UK or Canada with that same 4M. This Germans just be using brain.. tuition free and one still have to raise 4M.
Germany is 100X better than those countries u made mention. Remember in Canada, after paying tuition fees of maybe 8-10k$CAD u still have to show proof of living expenses of 10k$CAD coupled upon the fact that you could be denied visa while applying. Please tell me if German bank or the embassy would tell u the €8000 u re to pay is meant for them or you. Try and be considerate a bit and if deutsch policies don't seem reasonable to you why not try ur so called UK,US and Canada after years of being denied and spending your hand earned naira. Next pls
