CultureRe: Why Are Yoruba's Obsessed With Greeting? by olareed(m): 9:29pm On May 15, 2015
papichula:
Good day everyone, i was going to shop yesterday where i learn tailoring. I passed the shop beside us when a girl of about five to seven years older than told me that i passed without greeting her. I know it is right to greet those older than you but there are sometimes you're thinking of another thing and greeting is not on your radar. I smiled and passed thinking she was joking...

In the afternoon me and my senior passed, none of us greeted...she now told my boss dat i don't greet...

Thank God my boss is a watsup man so he just told me that i should try to greet..

The point is
why didn't she complain about the other guy with me? What nutrient do people gain from greeting them that she does not want to let me be...

Work that i just started less than 3 weeks, they want to spoil my name angry

Yorubas, not all are too obsessed with greeting. You will never see an Hausa person complaining about greeting...

That's not only the person I have seen complaining.
you definitely will feel disrespected when a minor you expect to greet you shuns you....

Sorry while I was there I didn't take pictures but I stayed in Accra around weija. Very close to silver bird cinema. There is this ecobank very close to where I stayed. Usually I go there to redraw money and many Nigerians come there to redraw money for school fees and other things. My host later told me there is a university along the major road. So one day I passed there and I saw it was a 2 story building. I don't no why it didn't occur to me to know d name. I was just pissed. Why should Nigerians go to such schools?. I saw another one under construction. Was a three story building and it was clearly written university of something Accra. So am not just trying to spoil their schools, I saw it. I was told that only the university in legon is a real university, the rest are mushroom.
why will you go to Eco bank to redraw their money?...do you work with CBN?

I'm not typing this to undermine their effort but what is the big deal na? undecided We are a family of first class in my house as well.
My dad made first class from the University of Port Harcourt, my mum made hers at University of Lagos, my elder sister made a first class at Covenant University and I made first class as well at University of Port Harcourt just like my father. cool
If not for that bastard Omo ale Jati Jati Kabiru that spoilt our record by making third class consecutively in two different schools, our long time record would have still been intact. angry

kill kabiru and your record gets restored
Nairaland GeneralRe: Which Of These Annoying Moments Have You Had? by olareed(m): 8:13am On May 15, 2015
That awkward moment when everyone's using a ruler in an exam hall and you don't have the idea as to why...u go jus dey look up and down...
Nairaland GeneralRe: Which Of These Annoying Moments Have You Had? by olareed(m): 8:07am On May 15, 2015
handsometokunbo:
The annoying moment was when i dated d most beautiful lady i have ever dated; a daughter of South Africa Ambassador to................ in 2011 and got to my bedroom to carry out what we were both looking forward to but only for my 3rd leg to say No.

The annoying thing was when she did everything humanly possible but still.........

The annoying moment was when my girlfriend(the one i love with all my heart) came back home to accuse me of cheating(yes I did but I had cleaned my room and every traces of another lady visit), denied it with every convincing words in me but only for her to check behind my window cotton and found a lady shower cap and pant on the wall heater which d stupid visitor left behind d window cotton.

The annoying moment was when my dad caught me red handed with all the money he just withdrew from d bank and kept in his bedroom.

The annoying moment was when I bet with other students that I could walk to our senior girl when I was in SS 1 while she was in SS 3 and slap her. I did but the whole teachers in that School whipped devil out of me that day. I got back to my class with female beret on my head cos all my head was full of big bumps.

The annoying moment was when my trouser gave way right from d back to when d zip is right in the middle of church service on Sunday (Winners chapel out of churches). I couldn't move, I sat on the chair behind straight up cos all my pant was out in the open. My female friends were like " the service is over, let's go home". I was in Church till late in d night when everybody had gone(I stopped wearing fitted suits afterward).

The annoying moment was when I went to our last born school to speak to his teacher who has written couple of letters to my parents about my younger brother. I was asked by parent to go and speak to hus class teacher but only to get there and I found out it was my new girlfriend.

The annoying moment was when I went to live wt my Aunty who has a senior wife(1st wife) but only for their husband (Uncle or in law or whatever) to accused me of sleeping with his 1st wife. Chaiii!!! I want die

The annoying moment was when you greeted your neighbour daughter and his wife with open mind but only for the neighbour to go to my parents to report me that I was sleeping with his wife. Mo ma wa Gbe ke!!!

The annoying moment was when I was caught in exam hall with expo and I started fighting d teacher that caught me with the Expo; throwing punches and all that but only for my parents to coincidentally showed up in the middle of this brouhaha.

The annoying moment was when I stole a very hot chicken from burning hot oil while my mum quickly dashed out to the living room to pick smting but before I could turn around, I heard her footsteps coming towards the kitchen and ended up throwing d hot chicken inside my pant; Chaiii ii!!!!! I nearly die that day with excruciating pain on my groins.

The annoying moment was when I wanted to steal money from my mum bedroom. She mistakenly left her door opened which does not happen twice in a year. I dashed and hide under her bed, waiting for her to go to toilet or living room to go and speak to popsy for a while which would afford me enough time to steal as much as I could but annoyingly, she saw me but pretended as if she didn't see me. She locked her door and left me in that bedroom from around 10am till when she came back around 6pm in the evening with my dad.

The good moment is when you are able to pour everything(which I won't be able to share offline) in you out like this online.

Etc
That awkward moment when you expect to get some likes or comments only to find out there was none...

Jokes EtcThe Furious Kenyan And The Selling Nigerian by olareed(op): 11:20pm On May 11, 2015
One day, a certain Kenyan walked into a bar in
downtown Nairobi. As soon as he entered, he noticed a Nigerian sitting in the corner. So the Kenyan walked over to the counter, removed
his wallet and shouted, "Barman! I am buying free drinks for everyone in this bar, except for that Nigerian over there! So the barman collected the money from the Kenyan and began serving free drinks to everyone in the bar, except to the Nigerian. However, instead of becoming upset, the Nigerian simply looked up at the Kenyan and shouted, "Thank you!"
That infuriated the Kenyan. So once again, the Kenyan took out his wallet and shouted, "Barman! This time I am buying free drinks and food for everyone in this bar, except for that Nigerian sitting in the corner over there!"
So the barman collected the money from the Kenyan and began serving free food and drinks to everyone in the bar. When the barman finished serving the food and drinks, once again, instead of becoming angry, the Nigerian
simply smiled at the Kenyan and shouted,
"Thank you!" That made the Kenyan furious.
So he leaned over on the counter and said to the barman, "What is wrong with that Nigerian? I have bought food and drinks for everyone in this bar except for him, but instead of becoming angry, he just sits there and smiles
at me and shouts 'Thank you.' Is he madhuh"
The barman smiled at the Kenyan and said,
"No, he is not mad. He is the OWNER of this bar."
Jobs/VacanciesAirtel Graduate Trainee: Must I Be An Airtel Subscriber To Land The Job? by olareed(op): 10:48pm On May 11, 2015
Getting a job with any telecommunication companies may covertly require you to be one of their subscribers. It is always not a key requirement but to clear any doubts as to why you may be dropped for that telecommunication job despite you met all the requirements, it is advisable to get their network registered and applied with, and not other networks. You never can tell, it could be the only criterion that would give you that edge over your contenders.

The first false awakening I ever had was in 1999 when armed robber almost killed my friend's dad. On waking up,I realised it was a dream only to find out some gangs knocking their door(I slept over in their house). They barged in, and shot his dad on the arm. I screamed only to find out I was disturbing my brother who was reading in our own house.
