My wife was in her 8th month of pregnancy when we had to make a trip to sort out some educational stuffs. We lodged into this newly built guest house since we intend to stay at the town for 2 weeks.

By around 12am the second day, I was getting ready to sleep when my wife is already fast asleep. That day, the light was off and the guesthouse only put the gen on till 11pm. She woke up to ease herself in the toilet and while coming back I heard her shout "yee, subhanallah".

I actually thought she was joking cause she like that kind of thing, but when she started crying and shouting: "something bit me...something bit", I was gripped by a cold fear so strong that I've never experienced such since the day I was born (though I never tell her this, I just pretend I ain't afraid).

Mind you its 12am, I have no vehicle, the closest hospital is like 20 to 30 mins on bike (where will I even see bike by that time).

So, I killed the scorpion, tied the upper part of her leg, took a blade, cut open the wound and squeeze the poison out as best as I could. After doing that, I applied and the recited what the OP posted. After like 30mins, she slept.

Astagfirullah, may Allah improve our Iman, I stayed awake throughout the night, checking her and see if anything went wrong.
I don't know when I felt asleep, was around 4am, but she woke before me and when I woke and she was like nothing happened to her.

We went to an hospital the next morning and the doctor assured that everything is fine.

Mind you, that's like 3 months ago, the baby is already 2 months old....safe and sound.

As a strong critic that he is, he should've done his homework before considering the appointments.
