BusinessRe: Why Do Nigerians Fail To Make Money? Why Have You Failed To Make Money? by OlasunkanmiSM(m): 6:58pm On Aug 10, 2022
Tokskob2008:
That will be because so many of the online stuffs are either fakes or complete scams, the little genuine ones are usually not exposed on public platforms like this..
Wow! This is deep.

But in my opinion...

It's the way some people approach "make money online"

Many people believe since we're talking online...

There should be little to no work involved which is totally wrong.

The 2nd thing is how the so called "marketers" promote the online business opportunities.

Can't really say much about that.

And there's nothing wrong with training bro. It's required since it's about something new to you.
BusinessRe: I Need Advice On What Business To Start by OlasunkanmiSM(m): 6:34pm On Aug 10, 2022
Well...there are many Business opportunities you can do.

Just make sure you research them very well before you invest your money.

My recommendation?

Start an Online Business.

Why?

They are low risk and require very small capital while the potential is hooooge.

You can start some with less than 100k. Or even 50k.

E-commerce..
Affiliate Marketing..

And so on.

Again...do you research on them before you invest your money.

Jobs/VacanciesEntrepreneurship Or 9-5....which One Is Better? by OlasunkanmiSM(op): 1:24pm On May 25, 2022
If you ask me... that's an article worthy headline

See ehn...let's be honest.

Different strokes for different people. I honestly don't get why some "Entrepreneurs" look down on 9-5 workers.

"Salary is the bribe they give you to forget your dreams"...said a wannabe motivational speaker .

Should be wiped an Oraimo USB cord

I've worked multiple 9-5 jobs. More than I can count.

I've worked even longer hours. 9-5 is a scam in a country like Nigeria. You never work 9-5 even if it's in the job description (another topic for another day sha).

I invested my salary into starting the Entrepreneurship life and it's the best decision I ever made. I'd do it again if I could. 100%.

But my point is...

As long as it's fulfilling your wants and needs...choose which way works best for you.

For most people...it's working 9-5 and they thrive in it.

Entrepreneurship is no walk in the park...that's why few people succeed in it.

They approach it with a 9-5 mind and find out it's totally a different thing...and then give up.

But trust me...the efforts are totally worth it.

And then there are those working 9-5 and doing Entrepreneurship as a side hustle. People like me.

Personally...I love the Entrepreneurship life and want to transform into it as a full-timer. Working on it by the way.

My advice before making the switch...

Make sure your business is bringing enough income for you.

Making the switch should be to scale up your business.

I mean...the goal is always to trade less time for money...not the other way round.

Be it 9-5 or Entrepreneurship...it's your choice to make.

The point is to do it well.

If you choose a 9-5 or Entrepreneurship...

Just make sure you are good at what you do because that's where the money goes.

...and no.. I don't mean more certificates.

Upgrade your skills...upgrade your income.

That's the way to go.

What's your own view on the topic? Let's have it in the comments

Career4 Reasons Why "Do What You Love To Do" May Be Bad For You by OlasunkanmiSM(op): 8:45am On May 10, 2022
You know they say "To succeed in Life...you must DO WHAT YOU LOVE".

While that is partly true...a lot of people make this great mistake that they end up not achieving Success.

See ehn...it's good to do what you love. But it's even better if what you love can actually move you forward in life and provide income for you.

Love won't put food on your table.

Many people get caught up in the "I love what I do" while they're still suffering underneath.

They are the types of "Suffering and smiling" kind of people.

You don't have to LOVE what you do if it's moving you closer to your goals and achieving Success.

No...you don't. But you have to BELIEVE in it. Like 100%.

That part is non-negotiable.

Here are 4 reasons I found out about why what you "LOVE TO DO" could not be moving you forward.

1. There's something you don't know about what you're currently doing you should know.

Let's be honest. If you truly love what you do...you will want to know everything about it including how it contributes to achieving your goals.

I love my Affiliate Marketing Business so much and I try to find out ways I can develop and move the Business further to achieve my goals everyday.

So there just might be something you don't know yet about it and when you learn it...it could change your life.

2. There's something you're not doing consistently enough.

This most times prove to be the difference from the top and bottom People in every walks of life - personal and business.

Consistency is KEY to Success but only if you're consistently working on the RIGHT things.

3. Your heart is in the wrong place.

I know most people won't like to hear this part but it happens to be the case 20% of the time.

Probably you got into that opportunity for the wrong reasons...or doing "follow-follow"..you know what I mean right?

When you do something because other people are doing it and you don't try to find out if it's actually the best thing for you.

You should probably consider a change of vehicle in this case.

And lastly...

4. Too scared to leave your comfort zone.

Sounds familiar right?

Yes. You are afraid of making that change even when you realize what you're currently doing isn't taking you anywhere.

So when they ask you why are you doing this? You go "I am doing it because I LOVE it".

This is the worst of them all.

__
It's very important to consider these reasons if what you're doing isn't moving you closer to your goals.

Stop "Suffering and smiling". Only you can can change your life and that's only if you WANT to.

PEACE..!

You can complain all you want but it's just an excuse.

The fact that he couldn't live the live you hoped he had should be enough motivation for you to do everything possible to avoid it.

Start taking responsibility for your own life.
Jobs/VacanciesDo You Also Agree With This? by OlasunkanmiSM(op): 8:58am On Apr 18, 2022
One of the most common things I've come to understand about the way we humans think is that...

We're always looking for excuses.

We're always trying to blame something or someone as to why we're not getting a desired outcome.

We blame our parents for not being successful in life...

We say I'm not successful because

- I didn't get a good education
- I come from a poor family background
- I don't have money'...
- No opportunities
- the economy is harsh'...amongst many others.

But here's one thing we should know...

The lack of a silver spoon may have set you on a path but you needn't stay on it. If you are prepared to learn and adapt you can transform your life." "

It sounds catchy right?

I heard it from the movie 'The Kingsman'...such a beautiful line.

How do you know if all those excuses are valid or not?

You look at other people who had this same situation as yours but gone on to achieve success anyway.

The ultimate proof that something can be done is that other people have gone and done it.

No education? Most successful people I heard of never stepped into college not to talk of graduating..

So what?

Poor family background? Get in line dear. Lots of people are in this bracket...including me...

That shouldn't be an excuse.

If you're looking for excuses...you will find it.
If you're looking for results...you will find it.
You can either have excuses or results...never both.

You can achieve any goal you set for yourself if you can develop the self-discipline to do what it takes and to never give up.

So I ask you again....

Do you also agree with this?

CareerRe: Do You Also Agree With This? by OlasunkanmiSM(op): 8:56am On Apr 18, 2022
God1000:
our people are talented and hardworking but environmental factors aren't favourable
While this is perhaps true...

Most people don't try to look for ways around it but instead...

They just decided that there's no way for them.

The point is there's always a way to go about it.

I mean it's the same Nigeria that we are other people are doing great things while they started with nothing.

Jobs/VacanciesTwo Very Important Ingredients For Success by OlasunkanmiSM(op): 8:07am On Apr 16, 2022
After looking at some of the most successful People's stories through their books and biographies.... I realized two things:

1. They love connecting with people and know how to get along with them.

Charles Schwab...the man who was paid a million dollar as salary (the highest ever) by Andrew Carnegie revealed that he didn't get paid that money because of his knowledge or skill...

it was because he knew how to get along with other people and get them motivated.

2. They love reading books.

Not only do they love it...they are obsessed with reading.

So if you want to achieve success in any area of life... personal or business..

You must know how to get along with people and read a lot.

You have no idea the amount of knowledge and wisdom you stand to gain by reading.

The recommendation is to read at least 30mins everyday.

Remember:

Your money is not in things or materials..it's in People.

My thought or advice on those who are interested in the Amazon KDP Business and are willing to go into it for the long term..

Is to get a course from someone who have been doing it with a proven track of records.

It pays to leverage on someone's knowledge and experience.

It will save you from a lot of stress and discouraging encounters.

Just an advice tho.

HE GAVE UP 3 FEET FROM GOLD..!

One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of QUITTING when one is overtaken by temporary defeat.

Every person is guilty of this mistake at one time or another.

Let me tell you a story of a man who gave up 3 feet... literally 3 feet from gold.

A man was caught by the 'Gold fever' in the gold rush days and set out to prospect for gold with a pick and a shovel.

He found a trail of gold on a piece of land and started digging.

After weeks of hard labor...he struck on the shinning ore.

He needed machinery to bring them out..so he covered the ground and went back home.

He told his family about his discovery and they decided to contribute money to get the machinery needed to do the work.

They resumed on the piece of land and started mining the ore they had found.

It was the largest ore ever discovered at the time...but shortly after... IT happened.

The ore went dry and they lost trail of the gold.

After much digging with high hopes and little to no results...

Finally...they decided to QUIT.

They sold the machinery to a 'junk man' for a few hundred dollars and took the train back home.

Some "junk" men are dumb but not this one!

He called in a mining engineer to look at the mine and do a little calculating.

The engineer advised that the project had failed because the owners were not familiar with "fault lines."

His calculations showed that the vein would be found JUST THREE FEET FROM WHERE THE PREVIOUS WORKERS HAD STOPPED DRILLING!

And guess what...?

That is exactly where it was found!

The "Junk" man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine because he knew enough to seek expert counsel before giving up.

And that is exactly what I want to pass on with this message.

There will come a time in your life - personal or business - where nothing will seem to be working.

It probably is happening already and the most logical thing to do in these kinds of situation is to QUIT.

But just hold on that thought and think about this for a minute...

If you look around...there are people who faced similar challenges to yours during their journey but went on to achieve success regardless.

How about you ask them how they do it?
What should you have done to prevent it?
What could you do to turn it around?

Asking these questions in face of challenges will save you from a lot of regrets.

Imagine how the man felt when he later heard of the news of what the 'junk man' discovered.

You could feel the pain too...right?

Regret is not good for your health.

I hope this has been helpful to you.

Cheers to a productive week ahead .

And also... I'd love to hear your thoughts on this

So many insights and opinions...

Thanks for engaging guys.

But here's my point.

For you to work smart...you have to have worked hard first.

A guy said to work smarter by getting a mentor when learning a skill or business..

But the truth is...a mentor will only point you directions on what to do and what not to do.

You'll still need to work hard before actually learning them.

It's after you've learned them properly..you can now say let me work smarter by automating some process or outsource it to another person.

When starting out...you should focus on working hard.

It's working smart when you're not ready that leads to you looking for instant gratification...

You want to start learning and earning immediately....na Ponzi guys dey do those things.

Work hard..
Go through the process...
Understand them...

Before working smart.

Selah..!!
