Hello All, how soon can one travel after getting a visitor visa? and does the date filled in the application form as the date of travel influence this? Thank you

Hello Olaypappy or anyone who has travelled with British Airways before, please what is the maximum weight per luggage for BA? And how many luggages is one entitled to carry?

23k per bag. Two suitcases will be checked in while you can a hand luggage with you into the cabin although I saw some passengers with two.

I've been getting conflicting messages about covid test for British Airways passengers departing Nigeria to UK.

Please has anyone travelled to UK in the last one week via British Airways? Abuja Airport

I just got to the UK this morning via BA(Lagos airport). Covid 19 test cert wasn't requested & it's not a requirement.

GTBank said they don’t do currently when I went but UBA does. The only thing is you need to come with a return ticket (which most students do not have)

Manchester met uni's business analytics costs 15500 however they give scholarship discounts of up to £2k5 to int'l students, depending on the grade you finished with during your bsc. This equates to £13k which is not too far off from what you're looking for.

Provide your journey and contact details before you travel to the UK
You must complete this form online before you arrive in the UK from any country. If you develop coronavirus symptoms
Do not travel if you have coronavirus symptoms.

If you develop coronavirus symptoms when you’re travelling to the UK, tell the crew or driver on your plane, ferry, train or bus. They’ll tell staff in the airport, port or station, so they can tell you what you should do next when you arrive.

If you’re travelling with other people
You and the people you’re travelling with must all complete a separate form.

If you’re travelling with someone under 18 years old, they do not need their own form if you:

will arrive and leave together
will stay at the same UK address
add their details into your form
If you will enter the UK more than once in 48 hours
You can include multiple journeys in your form if you will enter the UK more than once in 48 hours, for example if you’re a haulier or crew member.

Who does not need to complete the form
You do not need to complete the form if you’re travelling from one of the following places, and you were there for 14 days or more:

Ireland
the Channel Islands
the Isle of Man
There are other reasons why you might not need to complete the form. Read the list of who does not need to complete the form.

Before you start
You’ll need:

your passport details
the name of the airline, train or ferry company you’re travelling with
the name of the company organising your tour group - if you’re travelling as part of a tour group
your booking reference
the name of the airport, port or station you’ll be arriving into
the date you’ll be arriving
your flight, train, bus or ferry number
the address you’ll be staying at for your first 14 days in the UK
details of someone who can be contacted if you get ill while you’re in the UK
If you’re travelling by Eurostar or Eurotunnel:

put ‘Eurostar’ or ‘Eurotunnel’ when the form asks ‘What is the flight number, train service or ship name that you will arrive on?’
provide your scheduled time of departure
Contact the helpline if you need help with completing the form or have questions about self-isolation.

Yes you're meant to fill it 48hrs before you travel to the UK. You will also need to print out a copy that you'll present on arrival

The option Naledis gave is a good one however you can also check Aeroland travels. I booked a BA lagos to manchester flight with them recently and it cost about N248,700 so it's another option you can explore. Cheers

You can try Bolton uni, its within greater Manchester. Manchester Metropolitan's masters fees start from around £16k but you should get a £2k scholarship discount with your 2.2

Please I want to ask if I still need to print a new statement of account. I already printed one on July 29 (Jul 01 to Jul 29 )which I used to get my CAS from school. I submitted my visa application on August 12 and I was able to get August 26 self service for my interview. I have uploaded all my supporting docs including my statement of account and I submitted it. I just want to know if I need to go with a new statement of account on Wednesday 26 of August.

No, you dont need a new statement.

The latest day I can arrive in the UK as stated on my CAS is in November so it's possible but I think you should confirm from your school.

But I'm hoping to Amend. How does that work?
Would I lose the sept 1st date before I can see a new date?

Also I plan to do a walk in by next week, it's like a plan B if I don't get a new date closer to mid August.

It's possible to amend the date...I initially got a date of 27th Aug however I amended it to 6th Aug which was yesterday.

I guess the walk in thing is also possible as someone stated here that they used it...Cant remember who though. Cheers

I think with time you probably going to thank STENON for that reasonably ''unsolicited and insensitive'' advice you are attacking.

This is the wrong time to come to the UK to study IF:

1. You plan to work to make-up remaining fees or rent and bills

2. If you took a loan that requires you to start paying back within a month or two you get to the UK.

If the UK leaves the EU by Jan1 2021 and with the pandemic the run on the economy is anybody's guess

If you have the money without needing part time work then you got nothing to worry about as the lockdown and the restrictions can only give you even more time to concentrate on your studies

I agree with the things u have said however some medical experts believe covid 19 may be worse during winter. January and February are the coldest winter months in the UK so anyone planning to defer till Jan should consider it carefully b4 deciding unless you want to wait till Sep 2021.

However if a vaccine or an effective cure comes out before then it changes the whole situation.

It took me about 48 hrs...the rate was 492.5

UKVI has now opened but they are handling passport returns for now (I guess those are for old applications)
