This gurl will go further than all those you have mentioned because her song and LYRICS has international appeal. For a long time I did not know that she is even a Nigerian. Tiwa Savage started very well too but she has lowered the standard by joining them to sing PANGOLO songs. The title of her latest effort; WATER & GARRI is a big turn off for me.

Tems' Team needs to urgently draw a plan for building solid organically-grown fan-base back home as well as building her brand for long-term career benefits and sustained income streams from especially high-profile shows and endorsements. United States offers little as a market for her. Nigeria and Africa do and it is tough especially for ladies as Tiwa, Yemi Alade and Teni would testify.

Enugu - A report by the Daily Sun newspaper indicates that there is apprehension within the ranks of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) following the leadership vacuum created by the absence of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the report, Kanu’s continued detention by the Department of State Services (DSS), has caused a seeming leadership crisis in the organization.

Kanu was said to be fully in control and members, deputies and assistants took orders directly from him or his broadcasts on Radio Biafra.

The direct-order link is said to be totally missing and members are now said to rely solely on messages passed through his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

Reacting to the issue, Ejiofor alleged that the confusion among some IPOB members was caused by the presence of some “infiltrators” in IPOB, who are not loyalists of Kanu.

He, however, assured that the legal team would not be distracted by any machinations from the so-called infiltrators or their agents.

Ex-diplomat says breakup has consequences
Meanwhile, a former envoy to Malaysia and elder statesman, Ambassador Yerima Abdullahi has urged proponents of an independent state of Biafra to weigh the implications of Nigeria's break-up.

The retired diplomat noted that the breakup of Nigeria will have negative effects on the country.

Abdullahi, who is also a close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, said those agitating should rather push for a referendum, saying it was better than eroding the peace and progress of Nigeria.

Cleric says Nigeria will always remain one
Similarly, a national leader of the Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), Bishop David Nwankwo, has told agitators to perish the thought of Nigeria's break-up, adding that the country would not disintegrate anytime soon.

Nwankwo, who is the national director of research in the Christian Association of Nigeria, spoke in Enugu during a leadership retreat for members of the OAIC in the southeast region.

The cleric said: “I don’t see Nigeria disintegrating, I believe in Nigeria.”

Young man, it is not every time that you want to fight for your right either in this clime or any other one. You live on the ground floor of the building, have you called a plumber and a bricklayer to figure out what the workable solutions are ? My gut feeling tells me this is a challenge that can be solved with between N15k to N25k. You only need to dig the ground, buy new 2" PVC pipes that costs less than N1k per length and install them to drain the water to the right place.

Except if the buidling has sunk and your bathroom is now below the outside ground level....in that case, you probably need to raise the bathtub/shower cubicle to address the problem.

If you think this does not make sense to spend the money out of your pocket, sit down again and calculate the costs of moving to another accomodation or getting a lawyer and LASG to force the landlord to fix it.

By the time you are done with this mini project and gained some experience in building maintenance, your mind will be tuned to executing a building project and have a home of your own. Trust me, when you ultimately have your own home, you will still forever be fixing issues like this every now and then.

In the mid 90s, I once lived in Ipaja in a rented house and the electricity supply to the area was very poor due to an overloaded electricity transformer. I was able to identify the problem and since NEPA would not bulge, I mobilised the immediate community affected to contribute N500,000 to buy a transformer instead of claiming our right to get NEPA to do it in a timely manner. Our electrical/electronic gadgets were getting damaged on a regular basis and instead of spending money to repair them, I convinced them to see the logic in channelling the money to procure the transformer.

A few years later, after I have facilitated the transformer procurement, I completed my own house at another location. When I announced to my neighbours that I was leaving, I saw teary eyes because due to my deep involvement in the CDA to mobilise people to develop the general infrastructures in the community to make life better, some of them could not believe that I was just a mere tenant. Some thought I was the son of the landlord who does not live there.

I'm just tired of wicked Lagos landlords.

I paid close to N200,000 for the house, but later discovered that all the water used in bathing in the bathroom does not flow out, no drainage. The water is being soaked by the wall. The walls are soaked. My properties are spoiling already because of the too much dampness of the walls and floor.

He promised to do it but he will never do it, because I discovered that's his usual style, to collect money and disappear. All the tenants are tired of his wickedness.

The dangerous thing here is that the whole house is a duplex and it's upstairs (decking) with many flats upstairs but I stay downstairs, so it's very very dangerous for me because of the walls in my room soaking water continuously, which can collapse anytime. All the bath water and washing water goes to the foundation of the building. No draining. It's a very risky place I'm staying and with likelihood of collapse any moment.

Not only that, the outstanding NEPA bill I later discovered for the whole house is currently over N200,000. He refused to sort it out and we have been paying for the old bill which we never used, yet our light would trip off within 3 days even after paying a lot of money, up to 15k or 20k at times, because of the outstanding bill.

For the drainage, which is my major concern, he kept delaying and giving excuses and promises for the past four months I packed in, but when he ran out of lies, he just told me yesterday on the phone that he will never do the drainage. And during inspection, this kind of thing is not possible to detect it because it's not possible for you to bath and see whether water is flowing through the drainage during house inspection.

He even boasted that he will never do it and that I should do my worst. Very wicked and irresponsible old man.

Pls how can I report him to the Lagos State government? To avoid building collapse. To compel him to do it because of the safety of my life.

A suspected thief who had broken into a mosque in Kebbi State to steal was apprehended after he became tired and fell asleep.

It was gathered that the suspect identified as Hamza Usman, 31, from Maidahini village was caught in the early hours of Friday, July 30, with multiple handsets at Bayan Kara, Birnin Kebbi.

So, the sidechicks, simply packed a suitcase after an email message and appeared at the house ? Since she has sent all the domestic help away, who opened the gate and the door ? Each of the sidechicks simply walked all the way from the gate to the door and she locked it behind them easily ?

A dispatched rider, Emmanuel Samuel was on Sunday, July 11 arrested by men of Ogun state police command while running away with the motorcycle given to him by his company to dispatch their goods, Reports.

The suspect was arrested when he was accosted by policemen from Ogere division who were on routine patrol of their area. The policemen, who stopped the suspect on the motorcycle demanded for the documents of the bike which he produced on the spot.

''While going through the documents, it was discovered that the motorcycle was registered on the 12th of July 2021, which implied that the motorcycle has been registered before it was bought. This aroused the suspicion of the policemen and the rider was subsequently taken to the station for proper interrogation.

On interrogation, he confessed that the motorcycle was given to him by a company in Yaba Lagos where he was employed three days ago as a dispatch rider. He stated further that, he decided to run away with it hence he forged the registration documents and number plate for the motorcycle.

The Dpo Ogere division, CSP Abiodun Ayinde there and then got in touch with the company's manager, who confirmed that they have been looking for the suspect in Lagos, and that he deliberately removed the tracking device from the motorcycle.'' DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesperson of Ogun state police command, said as he confirmed the arrest

Abimbola added that the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has ordered the transfer of the suspect to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for onward transfer to Lagos state command, where he will be prosecuted.
