Pidzo: This has to do with broadcasting rights. The BBC and Sky Sports are host broadcasters. For the 2009–10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 season, the BBC showed an evening highlights show, one leg of each semi-final and the final live. From 2012-13, the BBC will only show an evening highlights show for each round of matches after losing the rights in 2012. Sky broadcast at least one match from every round live, and from the 2012-13 have exclusive rights to broadcast both semi-finals and the final live after agreeing a three-year broadcast rights agreement in 2012. So I feel we will have full coverage from the semifinal stage.

For those in the east who has been clamouring for star times. I can authoritatively confirm dat STAR TIMES in now in Enugu. Saw dem now off-loading a trailer load of their receivers at their office (Asata chemist bus-stop, ogui road, enugu.). Though i was in a hurry, but heard something like #5900 for the receiver wit 2 months free and #1000 for the monthly subscription. But will later go and inquire fully. Will keep the house posted.

NB: am not one of dem. Just updating the house.

I've been to their office two times now. Yet non of the sales rep i've met has being able to fully explain their service, channel list to me. But from the much i can make out, they are to start transmission next week wit an initial 20 stations to be upgraded to 32 later. No live barcley's but UCL is on live. They couldn't provide me with a pamphlet with detailed channel list. The channels are nothing to write home about as it's not one u couldn't get on FTA on any given day- france 24, al jazeera. NTA 24, bollywood, setanta, kidsco, etc. For an average user not keen on live football and at #5900 for their receiver with 2 free monthhs and #1000 per month subsequently, the offering isn't bad.

Judgeing from the reactions i get at church, prayer meetings and even during crusades, whenever a Bible verse is quoted and i bring out my phone to read the passage using the bible app on my phone, i've decided to ask for ur candid opinion. Is their any crime in using a smartphone. Iphone, i pad. Tablet, e.book reader, etc, in place of the hard copy Bible to read my verses at church. Thanks
