A controversial development has emerged over the disputed 101 Settlements lands, involving a purported traditional ruling while related matters are reportedly already before the courts.

Questions are now being raised about jurisdiction, representation of communities, possible conflict of interest, and the potential impact on peace and security in the area.

CONCERN OVER PURPORTED TRADITIONAL RULING ON LAND MATTERS ALREADY SUB JUDICE — CALL FOR GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION

We are deeply concerned by the recent purported ruling from the Palace of Okochiri Kingdom concerning certain portions of land forming part of the larger 101 Settlements Plan No. 2/1944 of 1957, particularly Settlements 14–18, which are the subject of longstanding legal controversy and judicial proceedings.

Our concern is not with the institution of traditional leadership or the legitimate role of traditional institutions in maintaining peace and resolving appropriate customary matters. Rather, our concern is with the apparent assumption of jurisdiction over subject matters that are already before a competent court of law.

We understand that orders have been made in the pending judicial proceedings requiring parties to maintain the status quo in relation to the disputed area. Against this background, it is deeply troubling that a traditional tribunal would proceed to entertain the dispute and ultimately issue what it described as a ruling allocating or determining interests in portions of the disputed lands.

Our independent inquiries have also raised serious questions about the manner in which various communities and families were represented before the traditional tribunal.

In the course of our investigation, including inquiries conducted within Kalio Ama, Okujagu, et al, we found indications that members of the community were allegedly unaware that persons had purportedly appeared or acted on their behalf in proceedings concerning their ancestral lands.
Similar concerns have arisen in relation to other families and communities, where questions have been raised regarding whether the persons who purportedly represented those interests had actually obtained the necessary authority or mandate from the communities and families concerned.

If these findings are correct, they raise fundamental questions about the fairness, legitimacy and credibility of any determination purportedly made based on such representation.

Our investigations have further revealed allegations that the traditional institution itself may have acquired interests in portions of the disputed lands, whether by purchase, gift or other means.

If an institution or persons connected with it have an existing proprietary interest in portions of land forming the subject matter of a dispute, and the same institution subsequently presides over a process that determines or allocates interests in that land, legitimate questions naturally arise concerning conflict of interest, impartiality and the propriety of the process.

We therefore believe that these matters deserve independent and transparent investigation by the appropriate authorities.
This situation cannot be treated merely as another disagreement over traditional authority.
The disputed lands have been the subject of serious conflict, allegations of violence and repeated disturbances of public order. It is our understanding that the situation only substantially calmed after the intervention of the courts and the issuance of orders restraining parties from taking further steps in respect of the disputed properties.

It would therefore be extremely unfortunate for any action capable of reigniting tensions in the area to be permitted.
No traditional institution, however respected, should be permitted to take steps that effectively undermine or circumvent proceedings before a competent court.

Where a matter is already before a court and parties have been directed to maintain the status quo, every institution and individual involved ought to exercise restraint until the judicial process has run its course.

Fundamentally, there was arguably no justification for initiating a parallel determination of these particular land disputes while the same or substantially connected issues remained before a competent court.

Traditional authority and judicial authority should complement the preservation of peace and order; they should not be deployed in a manner that creates competing determinations over the same disputed property.

We therefore call upon:
1. The Rivers State Government and all relevant security and administrative authorities to urgently take steps to prevent any party from using the purported traditional ruling as a basis for entering, taking possession of, selling, allocating, developing or otherwise dealing with the disputed properties.
2. All parties to the dispute to respect the orders of the competent court and refrain from any act capable of provoking further confrontation or disturbing public peace.
3. The traditional institutions are to exercise restraint and allow the judicial process to determine matters already before the courts.
4. The security agencies are to remain vigilant and prevent any attempt by individuals or groups to use the purported ruling as justification for taking unilateral possession of the disputed lands.

This is not a call against traditional institutions. It is a call for the rule of law. It is a call for the protection of communities whose ancestral interests may be affected. It is a call for transparency where questions have arisen concerning representation. It is a call for restraint where the courts have already become seised of the dispute. And, above all, it is a call to prevent the recurrence of the violence, killings and breakdown of law and order that have previously accompanied disputes over these lands.

The 101 Settlement matter is too important to be reduced to competing assertions of traditional authority or unilateral allocation of land. No ruling—traditional or otherwise—should be allowed to become a trigger for another breakdown of peace in the area.

We therefore urge all concerned to maintain peace, respect existing judicial orders and await the determination of the competent court. The land disputes should be resolved through lawful and transparent processes—not through unilateral action, competing claims of authority or decisions capable of provoking further conflict.

PORT HARCOURT — A new political coalition, the “O.K is O.K for Rivers” movement, has been officially inaugurated in Rivers State, aimed at mobilizing support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Kingsley Ogundu (O.K.) Chinda.
Comprising various non-indigene groups residing within the state, the movement seeks to consolidate voting blocs and advance the candidate's campaign agenda ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
In their inaugural address, leaders of the movement stated that the group is composed of residents from across Nigeria who have made Rivers State their home. They emphasized that their collective support is rooted in a shared desire to contribute to the state's socio-economic development under the leadership of Chinda.

"We have launched this platform to ensure our voices are heard and our members are fully engaged with O.K. Chinda’s manifesto," an organizer stated during the inauguration. "The 'O.K is O.K for Rivers' movement is committed to providing a structured avenue for our people to contribute to the campaign strategy and help secure a victory that represents the interests of all residents."
Observers note that this development marks a strategic shift in the local political landscape, as supporters begin to build momentum across various districts to bolster the APC's presence following Chinda's recent emergence as the party's flagbearer.

As tensions rise between political factions, it is crucial to understand the legal framework guiding impeachment, as outlined in Section 188 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended).

Constitutional Process for Removing a Governor

Under the Nigerian Constitution, the impeachment of a state governor requires the involvement of both the State House of Assembly and the Chief Judge of the State. The process follows specific legal steps that cannot be bypassed.

Steps for Impeachment (Section 188):

Notice of Allegation

At least one-third (1/3) of the State House of Assembly members must sign a notice alleging gross misconduct by the Governor.

The notice is submitted to the Speaker of the House.

House Resolution

The House must pass a motion to investigate the allegations with two-thirds (2/3) majority support.

Chief Judge’s Role

The Chief Judge of the State must set up a 7-member panel to investigate the allegations.

If the Chief Judge refuses, the House cannot bypass this step legally.

Panel Investigation

The panel investigates and submits a report within three months.

If the panel finds the Governor guilty, the House can proceed.

If the panel clears the Governor, the process stops.

Final Impeachment Vote

If the panel finds the Governor guilty, the House can vote for removal with two-thirds (2/3) majority.

The Rivers State Political Reality

In the current Rivers State crisis, the role of the[b] Chief Judge, Simeon Amadi, [/b]is central to the impeachment process. Amadi, known to be an ally of Governor Sim Fubara, holds the power to appoint the 7-member panel that will determine the Governor’s fate.

This dynamic presents a significant challenge for political opponents. Since the Chief Judge is aligned with the Governor, it is highly likely that the panel will be composed of loyalists who will clear Fubara of any wrongdoing. Without an adverse panel report, the impeachment attempt will be rendered ineffective.

On the other hand, political forces loyal to Nyesom Wike, the former governor and now a key political player, are pushing for Fubara’s removal. However, Simeon Amadi is not loyal to Wike, making it difficult for Wike’s camp to manipulate the judicial aspect of the impeachment process.

The Legal and Political Implications

Given the constitutional requirement for the Chief Judge’s involvement, the current power struggle in Rivers State underscores the limitations of legislative influence over impeachment proceedings. Even if the State House of Assembly votes overwhelmingly for impeachment, without a panel that delivers an indictment, Governor Sim Fubara remains secure in office.

This situation highlights how legal processes can be influenced by political alignments. While the Constitution provides a structured process for removing a governor, the appointment of the investigative panel remains a critical point of control in the hands of the Chief Judge.

absolutely none. it is the birthright of soul to make up its mind when it wants to complete its journey back to God. there really is no hurry in the journey of soul and there is no compulsion.



God created soul in its own image. so we are really mini gods. we share the same qualities with God but the problem is that we have not yet realized it. that is why God created the lower worlds and sent us down here.

the experiences of life we go through helps us to come to that realization of who and what we are. our knowledge of soul and God is not so similar with that of christianity. christianity believes that soul has just one life to live and after death God will judge that soul and then will send that soul to either hell or heaven depending on how that soul lived its life or if the soul accepted jesus as its personal saviour or not.

in Eckankar we know that there is no hell. after a soul's life on earth the soul is judged according to its actions on earth and not based on its believes. after judgement if it is seen that the soul has not learnt the lessons it is supposed to learn the soul will reincarnate on earth again and continue it's lessons. it does not matter to God how many lifetimes it takes a soul to learn its lessons and reach spiritual maturity.



the law of karma is simply the law of cause and effect. that is whatever you sow you will reap. this is the law that God put in place to govern the lower worlds where souls are being schooled.

you need to understand python syntax and know how to use them, such as dictionary, list, functions, class, conditional statement
and etc., this will take you at list 1 month that depend on your speed of understanding.
NOTE that Django has it own deferent language as well, so i will not advice to spend time learning python .

There is no when to use class base or function base,

Class base was introduce in 3.0 version of django,to easy programming process and to avoid repeating your self,

Class base almost do everything thing for you, with few line of code you are good to go,

But some people are not used to it.

If you want to develop task with class base, I will help you in doing that.

Because there are program you are writing that need function base cos it make it easier and faster than class base view
