I don't know Buhari's health condition and I can't talk about that but physically, the man looks very frail and I wonder how such a person can walk 100m not to talk of fighting.
Sambo was just being honest. Btw, how will Buhari lead a fight against people he said 'attack on bokoharam is an attack on the north'? this are the type of people that support PDP, I give up. extreme gullible Nigerians. skak: TO ALL REASONABLE NIGERIANS: If Buhari was pictured attending a mosque, and it was reported that the Imam said 'he would open the gates to hell upon those who oppose Buhari', and Buhari sat there and said nothing, what do you think many people would be saying today?
If Buhari was pictured going to different mosques and kneeling before Imams, as part of his campaign, what do we think the comments would be?
If Buhari was pictured going on pilgrimage to Mecca, surrounded by a retinue of fawning Imams, what would the response be from Nigerians?
If Buhari invited senior Imams from across the country to a meeting with him, to discuss the elections and his campaign strategy, what would the Nigerian people think?
GEJ has done all the above, and we are told he has a right to do so as a committed christian. Buhari has done none of the above yet he is called a religious fundamentalist with a plan to turn Nigeria into an Islamic nation.
Please examine the facts so we can honestly decide who is acting like the real religious fundamentalist? Who is using religious faith as a political ploy to get votes? I swear, you are right on this. people praise Jonathan for being Godly on this act. and Buhari would have been stone with he had done any of this. God bless your wisdom |

Politics › Hillary Clinton Accuses Jonathan’s Government Of Squandering Oil Money by oliy24(op): 5:22pm On Jan 05, 2015 |
A former US Secretary of State, Mrs. Hillary Clinton, has accused the President Goodluck Jonathan’s led government of squandering Nigeria’s oil resources and indirectly aiding corruption to worsen the nation’s many problems.
Clinton during a public interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts, berated Nigerian government for showing irresponsibility in matters relating to girls and boys over the years. She described the activities of the Boko Haram sect as “abominable, criminal, and an act of terrorism” which requires the “fullest response possible, first and foremost from the government of Nigeria.”
“Nigeria has made bad choices, not hard choices” Clinton said, parroting the name of her forthcoming memoir. “They have squandered their oil wealth, they have allowed corruption to fester and now they are losing control of parts of their territory because they wouldn’t make hard choices,” she added.

If you have proof otherwise, please share let's discuss instead of saying what I did not say. There I was thinking your intellectual inadequacies were limited to the basic arithmetic not realizing you even have greater shortfalls in English language comprehension skills
I guess you are too clueless to realize that the 36 state governors have constitutional responsibility for educating ALL our children as well as General hospitals while the 774 LGAs fully controlled by these THIEVING governors are responsible for primary health clinics that would save us all from opportunistic diseases and epidemics.
For energy, states can deal with this in addition to the ongoing efforts of the federal administration to redress the inherited appalling situation. Tinubu made a lot of PROPAGANDA noise about Enron IPP but absolutely nothing to show for it despite $13billion wasted =>
Meanwhile your old soldier pensioner "agent of change" also flies abroad for medical check up since he did nothing to achieve sustainable improvement in our health sector while he was military DICTATOR and while helping "Saint" Abacha clean up in PTF =>

mikeansy: In the real sense of the word "some" forms of stealing can qualify as corruption. Some cant.
E.g. A public officer diverting public funds to private accounts qualify as both stealing and corruption
A public officer using his office to ease the process of getting his relative employed qualifies as corruption but that's not necessarily stealing
But an armed robber waiting for vehicles with guns and robbing people is pure stealing but that is not corruption.
The essence of the word corrupt or corruption assumes some level of responsibility and dignity that is being tarnished or adulterated due to some malpractices. Nobody looks up to a thief with some dignity or expect them to operate on a higher moral pedestal that is why it is out of place to describe a thief with the word corrupt.
Hence those who try to distinguish between the word stealing and corruption are not in anyway trivialising corruption. If anything they are emphasizing the enormity of what is going on in public offices in Nigeria when they try to draw a distinction between stealing and corruption. They are arguing that the seriousness of siphoning public funds into private accounts gets downplayed with the word corruption when in truth what is happening is outright stealing.
In 2006 Nuhu Ribadu made a similar argument about Sani Yerima of Zamfara State while accusing Governors of Corruption. In the case of Zamfara he emphasized that what is going on there is outright stealing without the involvement of any 3rd parties because in his words Sani Yerima was simply diverting State funds directly from State Accounts to private accounts. He is not even disguising it by setting up contactors with fronts like you currently have in Lagos where Tinubu's proxy companies do all sorts of work for the Lagos State Government and inflating cost without being subject to competition.
So eventhough in terms of technicalities of English language "Stealing is not corruption" may be wrong. I understand the sentiments behind the argument. There is some truth in it. What goes on in public offices in Nigeria is stealing but in most developed countries you have corruption in public offices! brother you are not justified. all stealing are corruption but not all corruption are stealing. but gej said stealing is not corruption. |
