The figure for Etsako you posted was for 2020 not 2023. Then was an election in 2020- a state election, you are already aware Edo is an off cycle election. Then there was another voters registration figure in 2023.


Before the 2023 election and voters registration, Edo’s voters registration figure was 2.1 million but after it, it rose to 2.5 million. The 2023 voters registration added four hundred thousand to the initial figure of 2.1 million. The figure you posted for Auchi which I have reposted was 159,000 thousand but for 2020. Auchi or Etsako west Is the fourth most populated local government in Edo state.


Out of the four hundred thousand voters registration figure that was added to that of the 2020.

It is very safe to say that Auchi must have taken thirty thousand out of that four hundred thousand being one of the major local governments in Edo state. It might very well be up to 40,000 but since we don’t have figures, it is very safe to guess 30,000 for the fact even that Edo’s local government are just 18 and Etsako west is the fourth most populated local government in Edo state after Egor, Ikpoba okha and Oredo which are the central local governments in the city.

So given Auchi a figure of 190,000 to 200,000 for 2023 election since it is not available online is very safe from the 159,000 she had in the 2020 election. Ughelli had 223,000 as her voters registration figure in the just concluded federal election, that would only place her as contemporary or mate numerically with the said Auchi.

You people always forget that Kaduna is the third largest state in Nigeria after Niger and Borno. Kaduna Metropolis , the capital is made up of four LGAs ( Kaduna North , Kaduna South, Igabi and Chikun.

Only Kaduna North and South is far bigger than the entire Benin even if Benin is make up of six Local Governments.
