CareerRe: Human Anatomy & Physiology Graduates: Lets Meet Here by Olucheye(m): 1:01pm On Feb 09, 2013
Hi all most especially gurugenius, welcome to the thread. I speak as a graduate of Human Anatomy from one of the Nigerian univerisities. The next ASSON (National Anatomy student society) conference will be held in my Alma mata and having being discouraged by a couple of my lecturers, i formally had th intent of submitting a paper that BMS courses should be scrapped at Undergraduate level save maybe Biochemisty for its appliciation in the industrial field.

So to say we've found ourselves in fields that are not marketable in the present day Nigeria and to counter your words earlier, Most fields in other fields happen to marketable just the poor job availablity in such sectors unlike BMS courses that happen not to even have an job option in the country. The above is the reason why i move for it being scraped! The only viable option for Anatomist which could have either Forensics or Research development in areas like embroylogy, are areas that the Nigerian govt. Clearly doesn't have plans for.

The other supposed job prospect for BMS graduates, LECTURING happens to be å field where everyone can't be. I for one happen to be å very bad teacher and same as others that have met across the BMS clime. Its best advicable that graduates from this field who are not so lucky to have found themselves working in other sectors of the economy, should focus on how well they could better themselves in terms of either studying further to get advanced degrees of choice like I'm doing or read better to find themselves in specialized areas of BMS.

I met up with a prof of Histochemistry or so from Canada some weeks back. A Nigerian for that matter and he happens to be doing fine. He's getting well paid for his researches by the German government. That is one out of the very few sucessful have met. Else, a further degree in Medicine or Radiography won't be a bad idea. My 2Cent.

Obama should give the world a video of him shooting Skeet and not just him aiming and shooting what we can't see. That will give a better idea of him being a great marksman or not.
Even at that, I still support the gun control! This rate at which people use their guns in hurting innocent lives especially kids is so uncalled for.
PoliticsRe: Farouk, Emenalo Reject Prison Food by Olucheye(m): 4:19am On Feb 03, 2013
They are not yet charged guilty by the court of law.....hence they should still accord them with prefential services as long as its being paid for out of their personal purse.
And I bet other prisoners will enjoy themselves during their stay as the prison staff will not want to give bad impression of themselves grin

Finally our northern brothers can at least go to sleep with their eyes closed and every christian in the North can attend vigils as they wish without the fear of meeting their creator that same night. Whoever urged them to drop their weapons has just solved one of the biggest political mystery's in Nigeria. Kudos!! I just hope they will also talk some sense into their JAMB brothers.

Its people like Zebbook that makes Christianity seems like a joke. Why did he not try the same with Mohammed's name.
Even if he did, I'm pretty sure the Pint-sized mallam will be the first person to call for his head.
Beats me why his brain left him when he saw the supposed tweet from Zebbook.

Who is Abati to come and attack the Ex-president. It is clear that the GEJ government has failed in addressing the security issues being faced in the country. An General is giving you a tactical approach to it and Abati is sounding like a drunk glutton.

If truly GEJ could handle it, then he should come outside with his concrete approach and strategy to tackle them rather than allowing BH give birth to numerous offsprings like JAMB! And Abati should be cautioned to stop spewing trash on social media in the name of the office of the presidency

HealthRe: Is There Such A Thing As An Early Life Crisis? by Olucheye(m): 11:28am On Jan 09, 2013
@OP, We share similar traits. Right from childhood I've lost interest in any form of outdoor gatherings and even while in Uni, i ensured i was basically satisfied in my room.

Now its taking so much toll on me that now I've always wondering if I'll be able to be a full outdoor person that I'll have loved!

I've for sure felt lost times without number too but the best advice is finding someone who understand your kind of person, try to find something to do that spurrs up your inner person be it music, Games, outdoor driving e.t.c

The above is what i do when i feel like I'm losing it. Also find someone you could have a heart to heart talk with. It does help!
