Prof. Ben Ayade has stepped aside as the Governor of Cross River State for his Deputy, Professor Ivara Esu, as he assumes the role of project manager. According to Prof. Ben Ayade, he stepped aside as the Governor of Cross River State for his Deputy to concentrate on overseeing the completion of his industrialization projects spread across the state in his second term.

At his swearing-in ceremony at U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Prof. Ben Ayade revealed that his new role going forward will be to personally oversee the completion of projects while his Deputy would function as acting governor. The governor disclosed that in addition to completing ongoing projects including his signature projects, the Bakassi deep seaport and 276 kilometers superhighway, he will also site new industries in the few local government areas without industries.

A Pakistani man was confronted by a Nigerian man in a viral video making rounds on social media. for selling a fake iPhone to a Lagos Resident.

The visibly angry Nigerian man who confronted the Pakistani man for selling for a fake iPhone to a Lagos resident, alleged that if tables turned and it was Nigerian who did it in their country, he would have been lynched before taken to the police.

The Nigerian man who took photos of the passport of the Pakistani man, said the incident occurred at Abraham Adesanya area of Lagos.Here is the video below;

Peter Obi, the PDP Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 election, has slammed Rotimi Amaechi over his Igbos can’t succeed Buhari claim.

Recall that the former Governor of Rivers State said he would have helped the South East bargain for Igbo presidency, if they had supported Buhari 2019 general election. However Peter Obi who slammed Rotimi Amaechi over his Igbos can’t succeed Buhari claim, recounted how the Minister of Transportation could not deliver his home state to the APC in the Presidential election.

Obi who spoke with newsmen at the Rivers Government House in Port Harcourt, mocked Amaechi over the outcome of the general election in Rivers.

He said: “He’s is not from South East so he cannot speak for us. He’s not in a position to make such statements. Even he that’s in the APC didn’t contribute anything to that the success of that election. He didn’t not achieve anything to in his own state.

“Those of us from the South East in the PDP contributed to the the success of our party. For example, PDP in my state got 95 percent and they (APC) didn’t even get 25 percent in Rivers. So, he isn’t competent to speak on that”.

The General manager of a company in Lagos has been arrested for stealing companies' cars and also paraded by the State's Police command. 

The General manager who was arrested for stealing over 10 companies' cars belonging to his former employers, was identifed as Ade Segun and it was gathered that he applied for management positions in prominent companies with the sole aim of stealing their cars and selling them to unsuspecting buyers.

Segun who confessed to stealing cars from his previous employers, was arrested at his new place of work following an investigation.The suspect will be charged to court after investigation is concluded.
